Briar_Rose walked up to the next tree cautiously, not wanting to find out if it was good or bad the hard way. But this tree had something different: within its branches, were a smiling set of teeth. Not that the tree itself was smiling, just on top of it.

"You seem a little lost", says the smiling set of teeth, "but not to worry. Everyone's quite lost here. I hope you find your way, there's so much more for you to get lost in."

"More? What do you mean by--" But before she could reach the tree to see the teeth, they were gone.

Passing the stump by, Spiderluck sighed as she realized that she went full circle, shaking her head in dismay. She'd found no items, not really, and a part of her felt really disappointed at that.

The dormouse found herself in front of the striped trees once again, and though they made her laugh the first time, she found them quite ridiculous at this point.

To be honest? She was tired of seeing them.

She turned around and moved back - carefully - towards the entrance and glanced at all of the people there, closing her eyes for a moment and halting in her path. Maybe... someone else was looking that she might be able to help?

Spiderluck was tempted to shout out in the area, about to ask if anyone needed help, but thought better of it and shook her head.

...she would most likely hinder them, as she did with that other player.

Frowning to herself and inwardly cursing, Spiderluck resumed her pace and exited the area, not giving anyone else a second glance. She'd just have to level up.

That much, she could at least do.

"You're not the same as you were before. You were much more.. muchier. You've lost your muchness."

Well of course it is, otherwise I wouldn't have said it now would I?

Robert, have you gone mad?

He opened his eyes. The first thing he realized was that everything looked different, but he knew none of it was different. It was his fault, entirely - his eyes were playing tricks on him. Glorious, brightly colored tricks. Everything looked so much brighter and louder and more painful to look at, so he looked harder because what else was there to do? He was sitting on the ground and he was standing on the air, which was entirely unfair to the air itself and really, what did it ever do to him? So he pushed himself up to his feet, and chose to list all of the things he knew.

He knew his name was Robert, but he was more than that. Above his head was a different name, and it made much more sense to him. So he took it, and it was his own. He took the hat and coat he was wearing, too, since it had already decided to be courteous enough to be on his body. He fixed the collar, adjusted the hat, and continued to list the things he knew.

He knew he was a Hunter. That one was easy. It also probably explained what he was doing here, in this world that hurt to look at.

He knew he was actually asleep, which was a relief. Dreams were easier to die in.

And he knew he had to find Mimsy, because he suddenly had so much to tell her. Wasn't that right, voice-in-his-head?

What, the ********> Jezebel groaned out quietly. You really have gone completely bonkers.

Small IC description of character: Other than a pair of white angel wings, this particular mad hatter looks remarkably normal at first glance. Blonde, spiky hair and a looming tall build - but to look in his eyes is to understand why he'd been picked for his job class. Blood red, with dark circles under them, and one was dilated fully and usually twitching. Mad was a good way to put it.

And then she ran into a grumpy tree. Grumpy trees just needed hugs to make them happy, right? And so she tried to give the grumpy willow tree one, only to be pushed away and have leaves tossed at her.
Well, she wasn't going to be deterred that easily!
And so she kept trying, despite failures.

SwordnBoard saunters up to the next tree and immediately this is going better then his other attempts. This one hasn't backhanded him for his insolence or be a bloody stump! He leans to look around the tree and even up into its branches. Its mighty small, there aren't a whole lot of places to hide anything in this one.

"Are you uh.. hiding anything perhaps?" It merely retorts to guess and gives him a toothy grin when it looks up at him. "Well if you haven't gotten anything, you should say so!" Luckly for his digits he was too oblivious attempt to examine the tiny thing. He stomps off to the next nearest tree muttering about how difficult this is for a first quest.

He snorted as he found himself back at the sign tree. Awesome. He sighed and shook his head. Jeez this was going to be annoying, wasn't it....

Where the hell was his twin? This was his dream, right? She should totally be here to be annoyed along with him.

ding!

....apparently his quest was complete.

SHE WAS REALLY PERSISTENT OK.
But at some point, she relented, having considered her quest complete.
Level up! More loot!
She skipped off happily to complete some more side quests.
