Candace looked down at her boots. They were glowing and sparking...hm..could she..? Wilson swam up to her aid and she smiled, giving him a thumbs up before pointing at herself, then him, and them the nearest mermaids.
Even if he didn't figure it out in time Candace moved anyway. She was totally going for it. She shoved off his shoulders with one foot out, using the weight of her weapon in the water. She kicked a second mermaid, grabbed her, threw her at the next one, and finally sliced both of them with Atropos' blades. It worked!
Damn right it did.

And then she managed a nice attack. Wilson threw her a thumbs up before casually pointing his cannon at her--
And gave her a tiny shot. It was like getting a vaccination only there was swirling mist and she felt much better. ^w^

Bix was late. That was unusual for him but he'd spent like an hour in his closet digging out his bathing suit and wet-suit shirt he had. He wasn't going to be out in the sun unprotected! Of course he also had to do the usual sunscreen routine. When he showed up he even had the white-nose like some sort of super pale lifeguard.
Time to swim!!
Thankfully it seemed all the monsters were occupied with other people... HURRAH. I mean.. ooohhh sucks for you guys.
Bix swam straight down.

CRAP. THE MERMAIDS.
Bix spied a few people battling them already. He motioned to Candace and Wilson as they were closest, waving as he summoned Mina. The red gems pulsed like a beacon underwater and seemed to grab the mermaid's attention.
Would this even work underwater?
