 I am the Light of this World
The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~ With a contented smile, Hikari turned back to Miko and clasped her hands together. "I'm so glad..." She frowned slightly. "Gannon is taking quite awhile, isn't he?" She nervously nibbled on her bottom lip. Part of her wanted to go after him and make sure he was okay, also to make certain that he didn't harm the person responsible for hurting Nereus too badly. After all, they may have done a terrible thing, but still, Hikari thought that they should at least be given a chance to be heard before thrown to the wolves. As much as she wanted to go, however, she clenched a fist, remembering what happened the last time he had run off and left Hikari behind. Feelings of hurt and jealousy filled her but she quickly stifled them and shook her head. I'm causing him trouble everytime I disobey. I will not go seek him out, she thought vehemently. He doesn't want, or need my help anyway. Her stomach grumbled, causing her face to redden in embarrassment. "Uhhh..."

Gannon… 
He watched as the girl formed a shield of magical energy around her as he himself had done moments before. He dug his blade into the soft ground to stop his momentum before he crashed into the electrical wall. He took a few steps back to assess the situation. "Not bad... So, how ya gonna handle this?" He stabbed his blade into the ground, causing a surge of ice magic to flow through the ground, erupting underneath the girls electrical shield, forming into more than a dozen razor sharp spikes.

Ina Ina levitated using the ball of lightning to away from the dangers. She close her eyes and as she did the ball imploded leaving a bright flash. Ina took this moment to run towards the Teru with her finger tips glowing a faded yellow. I need to finish this fast or else I'll overheat. I would use rain but it'll be to his advantage...unless I do overheat which will help me from the cold but that is to risky. As she came near Gannon she leap to strike. (O.O.C: Sorry for not checking up. I thought I posted but it seems I didn't so for that I am sorry. The good news is that my netbook is less slow so I could check often than I use to.)

Gannon…
Gannon watched the one eye'd Teru with an unimpressed look on his face. If she really wanted hand to hand combat, he was more than capable of taking care of her. As his opponent came at him, half a dozen spells were at his disposal to counter her attack, but he decided a heads on approach was more than sufficient. He waited for her to commit to the attack, and then instead of blocking, he simply sidestepped to the outside of the attack and grasped a hold of her wrist. As soon as he had a firm grip, he delivered an electric attack of his own, blasting her with hundreds of thousands of volts at point blank range, enough to put an extremely powerful mage down for quite a while. This battle was done.
Gannon released her wrist and allowed her limp body to fall to the ground. He took a few steps away before turning to look back at her. "I don't give a s**t about Nereus, but just the same, I can't allow ya to hurt a member of our group. If ya really want info on this 'Red haired Teru' so much, come see me when you get off yer a**. I've seen 'im before." With that, he left, heading in the direction of the clinic.

Ina Ina fell to the ground but wasn't unconscious until she heard what the Teru had to say. Ina whisper to her Familiar before she close her eyes. A light shower soon began around the area as the Familiar stood there waiting for Ina to recover.

Gannon…
The Teru was about to enter the clinic, but hesitated. He knew Hikari was waiting for him, but he knew there was someone else waiting for him, too. His mind made up, the Teru entered the clinic and left a message with the nurses to give to Hikari, then he left. It had been quite a while, but he remembered where the shrine was. It wasn't too far from where he was now.
It took him longer than he had expected to reach the shrine. Between his body's condition and the reason for the trip, it wasn't surprising. Still, he felt that he should have been there much sooner. Stopping at the door, he steeled himself for what was within and then opened the large, heavy door. The old hinges squealed as the door opened. It was obvious that not too many people still visited the building.
It only took a moment for the Teru to spot his old friend. His body was lying in state in the center of the room. His clothes were cleaned and there was no sign of the wounds that had covered his body. He looked peaceful. It looked like Melody had taken great care preparing Zek's body. There was no sign of her, though.
Gannon walked up to the table where the body was displayed. The scene played over and over in his mind, seeing the hole torn in his chest, the blood spraying, Zek falling. And the look on the woman's face. The crazed, gleeful look in the eyes of the one who wore Tessia's face. It was a sight that he wasn't sure that would ever go away. His face paled and his stomach clenched just thinking about it. His eyes began burning and he reached up and wiped the wetness away. "Zek... I don't know how, but I'll make them pay... I'm so sorry, Brother..." He reached out and placed a hand on his friend's shoulder, "I..." Words failed him and he stood in silence over his lifeless friend.

Miu Miu got goosebumps all over as she look up at the sky and saw heat lighting covering a good amount of the treetops. This somehow piqued her curiosity as she nudge the man she was traveling with. The man minding his own business ignore the Reyvateil as he continue his way to the next destination Pouting her lips a bit she decided to wonder over the direction in which she saw the heat lightning; which caused Miu to separate from the man. After a while of wondering a light drizzle soak her head. "I wonder if it's natural around here to have the two." She said to no one in particular.The man smile as the Reyvateil wasn't bothering him in asking to take a break or some other random question. He then frown since that was what was actually happening. He turn around and she was nowhere in sight. "Miu, where are you girlie?" He then muttered. "If she is gone for good then how am I going to make my leafs!" Miu continue her investigation of what was going on in the forest until she saw a familiar in front of a body. She rush to aide the body. The familiar wail loudly, protecting the body but after awhile allowed the girl to help her friend to be carried to the clinic that was close by which she led the way. Startle at first, Miu insisted in helping the body to a tree. Once she saw the Familiar giving her permission to carry the body Miu did towards a tree but it seem that the banshee was leading the way towards somewhere. After a few distance of walking and heavy lifting Miu saw the clinic and began to struggle while running towards the building. "Help! I don't know what happen but there is someone who needs a place to rest." Miu put the body on a row of seat as she sat down next to the body to catch her breath. Once rested she got up and began to look for any nurses that were in the building.

Melody had been trying to fall asleep for the longest time, it seemed, but no matter how tired or miserable she felt, it evaded her. A sound in the room next to hers, where Zek lay sounded and she sat upright. Concerned over just who might be there to disturb anything she raced into the room with a candle holder in hand ready to bludgeon any possible robbers in the head with it. She momentarily forgot that she was clad in nothing but a light cotton nightgown. "Wh-who's there!?" The candlestick holder fell to the floor with a loud clang when she saw who the visitor was. "O-oh... Gannon... I'm sorry to have disturbed you." Just the sight of Zek's prone body lying there was enough to bring fresh tears to the surface when she had thought there were none left to cry. Quickly, she turned away from him and took a deep breath before continuing. "When everyone is ready... we can begin the ceremony." It was difficult, she realized. Difficult to pretend to be the stoic and strong one when inside you were falling apart.

Gannon turned at the sound of Melody's voice. It was obvious that she hadn't been able to sleep. If it hadn't been for the sedative that had been forced on him, he doubted he would have fared any better. So much had happened in such a short amount of time, it was hard to form some kind of rational thought, so all he could do was nod.
"It's like a messed up nightmare... Everything that's happened lately... I... I dunno, Mel. During the fight... Was that really...?" He trailed off, not able to say the name of his dead love. How could that have been her? Nothing that had happened made sense.

"I... I don't..." Melody faltered, trying to come up with the words. It was all so confusing. She turned to face him once more. "I can't answer that. I wouldn't even know where to begin, I'm afraid..." She shook her head and stared hard into the wall beside her as if trying to burn a hole into it, though not quite facing Gannon. "How would I begin to explain?" She rambled on a bit before shaking her head and let out a humorless laugh, the action betraying just how helpless and distressed she truly felt. "It's absurd... Her voice, the way she looked, her scent... Everything about her was spot on. It was her, it had to be... but then, her tone of voice... and what she did..." Melody shivered and hugged herself. "It wouldn't be her! It couldn't be!" Her voice cracked and she took a moment to compose herself. Melody quickly glanced back and forth, making certain no one was near before she continued. "Resonance," she whispered. "What should we do? I'm afraid, that I'm as lost as you are, this time..."

Gannon…
All he could do was shake his head. "Some of the things she said. They were only things that she could know. And she said that she died. How can she be there if she died?" Gannon made his way over to the closest chair and slumped down into it. "I don't know what to do... I think we're more or less safe from the C.P.G. here for the moment, but it's not like we can stay here forever."

She gave a nod and a small smile to the half-Teru in reassurance. "Yes... I believe, for now, everything is all right. Although, for how long things will stay that way is uncertain..." She leaned forward, tilting her head against the wall. "Please, do not feel alarmed, Mana," she added quickly when she realized what affect her words could have on the half-Teru and the others. I don't want to give them cause for worry like this. Not when everyone is still recovering. I don't want it to be this way... I want to be able to protect this world. To be able to protect them. Nelia pushed away from the wall and turned to gaze at Mana, her expression unreadable. After all, you all are my precious children. And this world, is my responsibility. After a few more moments of silence, Nelia cleared her throat and prepared herself to talk. "We should speak of this and other matters only after everyone has been given time to rest and mourn. For now, you needn't burden yourself with my troubles."

Mana frowned at the Reyvateil before her. "And just what's that supposed to mean? Burden me with your troubles?" The way that Nelia gazed at her for those few seconds unnerved her. A gaze of timeless wisdom of days long past, reminding Mana that the seemingly young girl standing before her was much older than she, or her parents, or even ancestors; in fact older than the very ground they stood upon itself. She sighed and put a hand to her head in exasperation. "I won't push it for now. But this is a promise. As soon as we've gotten our bearings, you won't hold back. You might be known as the Goddess of this world, but a Goddess who loses the faith of her followers can hardly be called a Goddess anymore, can she?" She crossed her arms and huffed with a roll of her eyes. "To me, you're just another Reyvateil. Nothing more, nothing less. You're a living being just like the rest of us, not some exalted all-knowing immortal Goddess residing in the heavens." She chuckled a bit. "But I like thinking of you this way a lot more, because then we can be friends. And you can tell us if you need help. Because all mortals like us stumble and fall sometimes, and we rely on each other to get through it all. I mean, aren't you tired, Lady Nelia?"
