And then there was chaos.
Somewhere amidst the jumble, Glenda managed to totter up on top of a table, anklekiller heels and all.
"You ready, Penny dear?"
She held the sights of her blunderbuss to her eye, taking careful aim.
Ready! a voice squeaked.
"I was jus' thinkin' how much I liked my seafood fresh," she commented, firing.

Smirking from the moon hunter's reaction, Kat gave him a smug grin before looking to Wilson. "Oh fiiine." She answered with a mock pout, tapping at the glass of water in front of her.
With the food arriving, Kat was actually kind of pleased to have no ordered anything. It wasn't like she had to worry about the expense of this meal, but it was just far too high classed for her. Maybe that ice cream bar would still be open after.. if not, she was pretty sure she still had a candy bar or something in her bag.
..which she could have given to Sin now that she had thought of it.
What happened next was almost expected. Not necessarily right away, but she had been expecting something to happen ever since Mark had spilled on the ship being fear contaminated. Dodging the table, she cursed the fact that she was stuck in formal wear. If there was anything worse than having to dress formal wear, it was having to fight in it.
Following the example of some hunters, her weapons were immediately summoned, grateful for the fact that she still at least had Xedis there with her.
"Thirty seconds? That shouldn't be too hard.. right?" Right..?

Otto yelped when the lights went out, easily the scariest thing to happen all night in his opinion. In fact, the deadly beast was almost a welcome change were it not for the fact it was still too dark for Otto's sanity to function right.
The frantic teen held his ground as best he could, summoning Tenya the six foot boomerang quickly. But as Otto found out, this monster acted much like a hydra. One swing from Tenya and well...
. . .
Otto back away, gripping Tenya for dear life and praying for light.

“Perhaps indeed,” Alaska answered with narrowed eyes. She gave him a look that seemed to convey, Really? before she mustered a tight-lipped smile. “Oh, but you love me anyways, sweetie. You just keep coming back for more.” The raven-haired hunter recoiled a bit at the lighthearted wondering, but managed to catch herself. “You can ask Nevada for details.” She took another sip of her drink. “I hear there was a…” Her voice drifted off as the employees brought out a number of plates brimming with food. As delicious as the meal seemed, Alaska really wasn’t in the mood for eating. Spurred on by Sin’s inquiry, Alaska was just about dying to know what exactly their mission was.
Which happened to be answered shortly after. The lights flickered. The music stopped. “That doesn’t sound…” Alaska pressed her hands to the table to keep her balance when the ship shook. She immediately stood up, her chair screeching against the ground as dim lights flickered on and the floor tilted. She took her hands away from the table as plates began to slide, clattering loudly as they crashed into each other and fell to the floor. The room sunk further and further into chaos as she heard a chandelier crash amidst the screaming. “Jesus ********—“ Alaska reached for Sin first, then for Nevada.
There was a louder crash, revealing a certain something that stared right back at them.
“JESUS ******** CHRIST,” she hissed. She went bug-eyed as spine-covered tentacles reached for the occupants inside the ship. Alaska winced and tried to turn her head away from the grisly scene. Welcome to Deus, huh? Great.
“And here I thought this mission wasn’t going to be so bad.” Grumbling, Alaska thrust her jacket to the ground. At least she could move around in a business suit. She couldn’t say the same for those in…dresses…She tugged at Sin’s arm with one hand and reached for her ear cuff with the other. “Let’s go.”Nyxtsuki Moon NO I REFUSE TO ROLL DICE JUST YET

Quinn did nothing to stop Ians fork as the other trainee speared a piece of fish and ate it. Quinn did not mind sharing, but Oki on the other hand snarled. He had a sudden and distinct feeling of possessiveness fill his mind.
Before he looked mortified at the idea of ketchup on such a perfectly cooked fish.
But before any of that could happen, the lights started to flicker.
And all s**t hit the fan.
THIS was something more as to what he had been expecting when he signed up for this, but in reality? He was soooo not ready.
"NOPE." He called out as soon as he found his voice, and promptly ran AWAY from the giant tentacled thing.

One purse-clad arm raised up from the floor, gripping the tablecloth and pulling the rest of Mrs. Glenda Gautreax upright.
"Oh dear, I do wish we'd 'a had a few cars on this here boat," she reflected sadly. An SUV would be really handy right about now. "JAN? MISTER COLLINS?" She bellowed before putting another bullet in the strange, tentacled thing.
"I do hope you boys can swim," she called as the ship continued to heave.

Peyton was starting across the table at her new blonde acquaintance as she busied herself with her neighbor's hair. Really from the moment she'd taken her seat she felt a little bit overwhelmed. This wasn't her first time around so many people, and she usually didn't have any issues, but something about the cramped proximity of everyone surrounding one table had her slightly on edge. Or maybe the dead body... Pale brows arched as she pegged the life Hunter with a curious look, but further silent communication was cut off by the arrival of their dinner. She thanked her waiter as they set a plate down in front of her, then gratefully took a bite after unfolding her napkin and laying it in her lap. it was surprisingly good. She hadn't the slightest what it was, having ordered the meal based on the main course, but she was pleasantly surprised all the same. The wine want half so good, but she sipped at it anyways. That's when she noticed the significantly older woman a little ways down the table. At first she thought a civilian must have wandered in and no one had removed her yet, but the way others were talking to her, it was much to familiar. "There's just no way.." It was said under her breath, but those directly beside her might have been able to hear. Not that it mattered. Two seconds later the lights went out, Something scraped along the bottom of the boat, then all hell broke loose as the flood beneath them shifted, and something large and covered in spines reared it's ugly head. Peyton have an involuntary shriek as she caught sight of it. Her chair crashing to the floor as she scrambled away from the table and fell as the shop gave a sudden lurch.
Warrick's voice rotated through her head and it was automatic. The tiny Sun Hunter pushed to her feet, called the bladed knuckle dusters, and sank into a defensive posture.
For all the good it did her as a thick, sponge covered limb snakes towards her and sent her crashing against a wall.
She got back to get feet, lunging at the retreating but of monster, the spikes of her weapon dining in as he hit landed. The damn thing was just so ******** big though..
Jumping back, she caught sight of Lucky. He didn't look like he wad faltering terribly well, so she dodged another spine covered limb to get to his side, small hand landing on his arm. "Time to move." Fingers sank into his slave, and she pulled, trying to get him back to his feet and less in range.

Jerry was just taking a long drink of water when the lights began to flicker. By the time the floor began to tilt, he had one clear thought: Oh thank god he had managed to get some food in himself. He slid along the floor, glancing around frantically for the two trainees- "Glenda! Er... er... Jazz guy! Find cover!" He barked as a black tentacle whipped past his peripheral vision. Roar was summoned in an instant, and he turned sharply to leap into action.... The bucking deck sent his shot high, but at least it managed to graze the beast.
