Lillian grumbled softly to herself as she listened to what Ivory had to say, though she looked up at Ivory immediately after she said something about blood. 'What do they mean...?' she thought to herself as she tilted her head. She kept listening, hoping to hear some sort of answer to her mental question and once she did she most definitely wished she hadn't gottne one. "Eeeew!! That can't be the way that'll help him get better... That is so nasty..." she said, freaking out in digust at the thought of Adrian having to drink blood to help excelerate the change. Although, there was a sudden thought that came to her mind and she voiced it without thinking, "Just who's blood would he have to drink...?" she didn't mean to speak her thoughts, though there was no way that she could stop herself once she started. She covered her mouth in embarrassment, though something in the back of her mind made her take a few steps back while her eyes got huge. She wasn't sure why, but she felt a bit awkward and a few of Ivory's words from their phone conversation came into her mind. She did not think all too much of the fact that Ivory had said that they'd have to do something that she'd not like and she suddenly assumed that they'd be using her as some sort of way to help Adrian. She knew that assuming was wrong, though she was starting to freak out and her mind was not working the way that it should due to her very much apparent panicking.

Ivory tilted her head thoughtfully. "We were hoping yours, though it does tend to be erotic more often than not," she said idly as if it didn't bother her at all. Adrian coughed, a chill shooting down his spine as he didn't much like the idea. "The next thing you're going to say is that I'm some sort of Daywalker, right?" he sighed, half joking. "You're not far off, actually. Carpathians, our kind, are naturally intimately connected to the spirit of the planet and what many humans assume to be vampires are the fools and power-hungry of us that have given up their immortal souls either through killing or willingly killing during feeding, which we never do if it is avoidable," Razvan said dryly. Adrian ducked his head, not liking the idea though his keen hearing picked up the slight cracking of the dirt behind Lillian as she backed away. Unconsciously he moved, not realizing he moved much faster than was natural as he caught Lillian's forearm in a firm yet gentle grip. "I'm not going to see you hurt regardless of whether it causes me pain," he muttered to her.

Lillian heard Ivory speaking and it almost made the blue haired girl's heart stop. She wasn't serious was she? The blood that would help Adrian was going to have to be hers? "You... I mean he... I think I'm going to be ill..." she muttered, yet her words slurred as she spoke. Her head spun and she felt very faint, though she snapped from her dizzy state as she felt Adrian grabbing her arm. She listened to Adrian's words and replied to him, yet her voice quivered as she spoke, "But... What if it's the only way to help you...?" She hated the idea of letting something like this happen, though she wanted to help Adrian. Her mind was swimming with so many thoughs and they were confusing the girl terribly, although she knew that she really did want to help Adrian. There was a faint voice telling her about getting blood from the hospital, though she didn't hear it very well because of her nervousness about what all was being said and what might have to be done.

Ivory cocked an eyebrow, looking faintly surprised at Adrian's speed since it was close to that of a Carpathian already. Adrian gently pulled Lillian close to him. "Then I'll suffer the pain because it means you won't have to," he murmured in her ear. He could sense that Ivory and Razvan could hear them but obviously didn't wish to let them know just how different they were. "I'll admit you're beautiful, but it isn't your blood I'm interested in... it's the person within the body... your spirit," he murmured, not realizing that that simple fact was very close to how Carpathians felt about the body and soul.

With her heart and mind racing, Lillian wasn't sure what she should do. It was true that she'd not like the thought of having to let Adrian drink her blood, though she couldn't bear to see him hurting. She had opened her mouth to say something, yet she was interrupted as Adrian spoke to her. "But--" she muttered, after hearning that he'd rather deal with the pain than harm her, just before she heard all of what he had to say to her. Her heart skipped a beat as Adrian called her beautiful. "I-I am...? And you really feel that way?" she asked, stammering as she tried not to let tears flow from her eyes, but it seemed useless because tears flooded her eyes and streamed down her cheeks; all before she put her face in Adrian's chest trying to calm herself down some.

Ivory glanced towards her husband, tilting her head slightly as she sensed that Adrian was unconsciously manipulating his own adrenaline flow to dull the pain, which she sensed clearly was almost gone regardless. Adrian rubbed Lillian's back gently, letting her cry against his chest as she pleased. "Absolutely. You're obviously stubborn and opinionated but you care deeply about your friends and family," he said quietly. He glanced skyward as the moon shone through the trees before he heard a very distant rumble of thunder and knew it would rain later that night. "If you want, we can head back to the house," he murmured. Razvan cocked his head as a boyish smile flickered at the corners of his mouth before he glanced skyward as a cloud passed over the moon. Adrian yelped in surprise as a sudden downpour of rain poured onto his head; what he found unusual was that the rain was almost as warm as if in a shower. He did notice the mud, blood, and dirt streaming off of his body and downhill.

Lillian didn't know what she was going to do to stop herself from crying, though she did feel a lot better when she felt Adrian rubbing her back in a soothing way. "I--" she started, cleared her throat and spoke again, though this time she did not think that she'd end up choking up, "I just want you to be all right... And I think that would be..." her words were cut short as she felt rain drizzling down on her head. She couldn't help but let out a small laugh as she looked up at the sky, which seemed to be crying for her. "I don't think that I need to cry anymore, the sky is doing a pretty good job of it for me, huh?" she said, joking. "But going home sounds nice." she added, hugging Adrian.

Ivory tilted her head. "He is certainly Dragonseeker; I could see the birthmark when his jeans slid down a bit from your little bathing prank," she murmured to her husband, who didn't look surprised as the moonlight streamed down over both of them. Adrian smiled faintly as Lillian looked up at him and the sky. He wasn't going to tell her that she looked downright beautiful to him in that moment as he hugged her back. "Then let's get back," he said quietly, though he blinked when the moonlight returned, ignoring the slight blush in his cheeks from how Lillian's skin looked luminescent and her hair seemed to shimmer in the moonlight. Fortunately for him, he was able to suppress a certain part of his lower body from showing a visible reaction which would have been very embarrassing for him.

Lillian smiled when Adrian hugged her back. "I guess that we can get back the way that we came? Or should we go a different way? I'd not like to risk falling into the pond again, yet we're already wet from the pond, as well as from being rained on, so a little more water won't kill us." she spoke in a joking sort of way, though she really did not want to fall into the pond again, which was a lot colder than the warm rain. She could see that Adrian was blushing, though she knew that her own face was probably a dark shade of pink, so she said nothing as she took Adrian's hand in her own, waiting for him to follow or lead the way.

Adrian tilted his head thoughtfully. "I think there's a faster way, though I wonder why someone didn't take us that way," he said as he glanced behind Lillian where roughly fifteen feet behind her half hidden between a copse of trees was what looked like a two foot wide bridge made of woven tree roots that crested both hills. He glanced back at Ivory, who shrugged as if she hadn't known about the natural bridge at all. He sighed and started walking towards it, noting that it had no handrails or support for the upper body at all if one were to lose their balance and it looked nearly nine feet across with a slight incline and decline at the ends.

Lillian let her eyes drift to Adrian's face and she sighed softly to herself, thinking of how long it seemed to be since she'd first found him in that alley and how short a time it truly had been. She heard Adrian saying he thought there was a faster way and she looked at him curiously. She wasn't why there seemed to be so much emphasis being put on 'someone', yet she didn't ask. However, she happened to look at Ivory shrugging, which confused Lillian some. "She didn't show us the way, so why are you...? Wait... Naw... couldn't be..." she said, shaking her head to rid herself of the thought of Ivory being the leopard before she followed Adrian to the natural bridge.

Adrian tilted his head. "It seems that the change gave me strong psychic and physical talents... though it does come with limits," he said quietly. He glanced to the side as a wild dog, foam dripping from its fangs, leaped at him.

Lillian wasn't sure that she could believe that Ivory was the leopard, though things were happening that didn't make sense, so she decided to just add that one to the books as being plausible. ”That sounds like it'd be really cool, yet that could end up being seen as an invasion of privacy if misused.” she said to Adrian, thinking that it'd not be very nice if someone were to try prying into her thoughts. Although, she didn't think about a whole lot of things that she wasn't going to say in the long run; well, there were a few things that she did want to keep to herself, though most of the time it was when she was angry with her father and she wanted to say certain 'words' to him. As she mentally went over the things that she'd not want people to hear, even though they were mostly things that she'd be keeping from her father, she happened to see the wild dog that was lunging right for Adrian. Letting out a squeal of fright, she did not know what to do, yet without thinking she leaped between the dog and Adrian, determined not to let Adrian get hurt anymore than he already had been.

Adrian tilted his head. "That would make one think that relying on such things to be wise," he said wryly as his hand flashed up over Lillian's head, catching the rabid wild dog by the throat and holding it in the air with surprising ease. The wild dog's eyes rolled as if shocked before wisps of steam swirled around it, masking the fact that the steam was from Adrian unconsciously pushing energy into the dog and healing its disease and mind before forcing the disease through its pores and out of its body before his arm flicked to the side, tossing the dog which twisted before landing on the bridge in front of them. Its stance was cautious, yet the tilt of its head signaled gratitude.

Lillian saw her whole life flash before her eyes in the blink of an eye. Yet when she expected to see feel the dog crashing into her and ripping her to shreds she felt nothing. "Huh...?" she mumbled as she opened her eyes that had closed without her knowing. She saw that the dog was not rabid looking anymore and that it actually seemed almost friendly. "How...? What did you do...?" she asked in amazement at the dog's change. She put her hand out, though she still wondered if the dog was all right or if it might bite her hand; however, she was willing to take that risk, since if she got bitten she didn't feel that she would contract anything from the dog if it did in fact bite her.
