An odd, horribly quick line of thought had begun in the witch's mind that made her reconsider whether putting the star first had been a good idea. What if putting the heart second it made her look like she didn't really care? Or put others second? What if that one question she couldn't really understand what it was asking had been a trick? Had been there to make her double check herself and she had failed miserably?! What if--
The shrill noise of the final bell made a high pitched noise rise in Belladonna's throat, but she did what she could to choke it back. Instead she ended up coughing in a most undignified manner, which made more noise than her little squeak ever would have on its own. Thoroughly embarrassed by that little show, she quickly rechecked her answers and silently bemoaned the hand that moved before her brain could catch up. Why had she ever though checking ALL the correct answers was right? Why hadn't she just chosen one!?
With a resigned sigh she offered her papers up to the student before her, sharing a pitiful look with the monster that took them from her and turned away to continue the little line of fate. All that was left to do was to return to her dorm room and hope she had done well enough to warrant something better than nothing. After all, even if the school said she failed miserably... She could still sew! And garden! And read lots of books and be really good at spells!
Yeah! Belladonna was awesome at all those things and more! This wasn't the end at all, just a school test that wouldn't truly determine her fate, as she was the one who did that!
Not one to let herself be down about much, the witch smiled brightly to herself before she skipped out of the examination room, thoroughly pleased with herself, all things considered.
