Muka hated tests. In fact he hated anything to do with writing on paper unless someone was writing him a check. The strix was looking over shoulders before he even sat down, his long neck craning and head turning side to side.
Unfortunately most of the papers seemed to be scribbled on, snotted on, or completely illegible. He wasn't generally one to dread but the monster did shift uncomfortably in the seat, a little too small for his ample behind.
Thankfully he wasn't in much of a hurry so when his pen turned invisible and sunk into the desk, he hardly looked ruffled by it. In fact he seemed to have more fun doing that than he would by taking the test.
Please ignore the giggling owl boil pecking and picking at the top of his desk.
When he finally emerged victorious, Muka smoothed out the paper (but only ripped it a bit in the process) and began to frown as he stared. When was the last time her wrote anything?
His teeth clacked as he began to burn through the questions. The strix figured the best way to work is pick the first thing that came to mind. He chicken scratched them out.
Fear is produced by humans.
He nibbled his pen and giggled as it squirmed.
Healthy fear consists of a healthy appetite and a healthyattitude.
- ALL OF THE ABOVE. - SKILLS OF A TRICKSTER
He'd bitten his pen in half and now scratched with a nub while crunching away.
-THE ABILITY TO BATTLE AN ARMY OF THE CAFETERIA FOOD AT A MOMENTS NOTICE AND EMERGE VICTORIOUS.
He was pretty sure that was right. Hadn't he heard a rumor that all professors did that as a hazing introductory ritual?
The key elements of a human are flesh and blood.
He was hungry still but he needed to use this pen. The next question had him pause, tilt his head and blink.
What?
Then he was back to powering through.
All classes are important. Moderate mastery.
The last three multiple choice barely took a thought.
-SECOND YEAR -NONE OF THE ABOVE -ALL OF THE ABOVE
He then sat back, chair creaking dangerously and grinned. Did he win the race?
Rolling a 4: Whomever is seated directly behind you keeps on making weird sniffly noises that are really distracting. You can barely concentrate
The harpy blinked and then twitched, clawed finger slipping beneath the seal of the envelope to neatly tear it open. Tests were not things that she enjoyed to begin with and they were even worse when you were stuck near someone who couldn't properly control themselves while taking a test. She glanced quickly over her shoulder, casting a stern glare at them. If looks could kill...
She quickly turned back to the paper in front of her, pulling out the first page so that she could begin to fill it out...
The sniffling started again and she found herself struggling to read through the first page of questions, determined to read them all over once before filling anything out in the event that the last question on the last page said not to fill anything out because -that- was the test, to make sure you read everything (she'd heard people made tests like that somewhere. it seemed stupid).
HONESTLY. It wasn't that big of a deal. You couldn't really fail an aptitude test, could you? Stop crying, stop sniffling stop!
She snapped her pencil, taking a deep breath and releasing it slowly before grabbing another, starting back at question one again she began to fill the answers out.

Oh boy! Exam! ARE THEY EDIBLE? (@°▽°@)
Killian wasn’t sure, but if it was the paper that they were supposed to fill in, then…maybe? It didn’t take long before Keel took a bite out of the exam paper, tearing off the lower right corner of the second page. They probably would have continued if the pencil beside them hadn’t come to life and started doodling on the papers.
YAY DRAWING! (@°▽°@)

Oh wait, they were supposed to fill out the paper. ( ꒪Д꒪) !?
COME HERE PENCIL. I NEED YOU TO WRITE.
[ Exam Paper Status – Covered in doodles and random wiggly lines, accompanied by a bite to the lower right corner of the second page. A scribble of what could be read as "Killian" is written across the top right hand corner.]

Darren was flummoxed - even if he didn't know what that word meant he was it. Staring at the paper, he scribbled down what he thought was right, and laid his head down on the desk. It really, really hurt.
Zel was having a heck of a time writing legably with his left hand, grumbling and growling at the stupid pencil that had mauled his right hand to the point of unusablity.
Sighing a bit, he finally circled the last circle and nursed his injured digits, wishing that he'd be able to get the wound taken care of before it got infected - or worse - ruined his chances at passing the test.
Though he was sure that had already happened, having been forced to write so sloppily.

She'd broken the tip of one pencil just trying to write her name. Erasing the disfigured "e" with the back of the now broken utensil wasn't going to be enough it seemed. Instead, she scratches at that bit with the stub of the pencil so it wouldn't be visible when she tried to make it right. This was proving to be more difficult than Levi had anticipated. Though, it wasn't the nature of the subject matter than was giving the ghoul her woes.
Part of Levi's concentration was stuck on the nasal sounds coming from behind her. At any moment the ghoul might find her whole test engrossed by green ooze from a fellow peer's sickness, and Levi couldn't help but be on edge. Picking up the next pencil, the tatzel continued on. Right. Words, reading and, most of all, comprehension were needed to answer these questions.
Tapping the eraser end of her pencil on her desk, attempting to drown out the sniffling sounds behind her, Levi read and reread the words over and over again. It was near gibberish in her mind. Words came together but didn't mean anything as a whole when she tried to compile them into a question. By the time they did, Levi's chin would be in her free hand while the other pressed that pencil into the paper as hard as she could to hear the scrape of the lead nearly going through paper. The occasional huff may have followed.
Sometimes it just wasn't enough and Levi would lose her concentration, sitting up abruptly in her seat when the sniffler behind her snorted exceptionally loud to plug that honker back up. In such instances, the ghoul may have missed an answer or two. Going back, she's caught what she could, but there was very little written when she got there. Overall, her answers were as short and straight to the point as could be.
If given the chance after this thing was over, Levi was going to remember the face of the student behind her and track their dorm down. If they weren't cured of their ailment in the morning, they sure as heck wouldn't be able to make any more of a ruckus through their nose or any other orifices anymore.

Normally one for over-dramatics when it was horribly inappropriate, Belladonna was all too prepared to make this exam over the top. Which was probably why her hands were starting to shake as she took her seat, desperately trying to see who else had showed up. Not like she was going to be able to do anything about it, but it would have been nice to know that someone else was sharing in her pain... Someone she knew, as obviously there were already a ton of students here... Errr... The envelope in front of her was normal upon first glance, but the bright red letters that stared up at her, that bore its horrid, scary message, was not something easily ignored. Especially when she opened said very startling envelope and an odd piece of paper fell out. Curious, the witch picked up the paper, flipped it over and blinked at what it said. That was.... That was most unhelpful. Belladonna bet those weren't the answers at all! Still... She hurriedly took out the two sheets of paper, quickly scanning the questions before she pulled out her favorite pink pen and began to answer the questions.
Unfortunately, she was a bit nervous, so the questions were more befuddling than they might normally have been. Especially those pesky multiple choice questions that had an 'All of the Above's hiding at the bottom. The witch was so intent on properly answering the question about what it took to be a Trick or Treater, that when she noticed she had checked all the options... Whoops... Just to be doubly safe, she checked the 'All of the above', just in case. Wouldn't want to accidentally do anything wrong! Like mark 'x's over the choices she made rather than circle them like she should have. O-oh no no no nonononononooooooooo The only comfort the witch did take from the exam was that the Boogeyman option had the choice of 'beautiful hair', which she happily checked first. Of course they had beautiful hair! Her hopeful Boogeyman boilfriend had the most beautiful of hair, so obviously that was the proper answer!

Rollan' for Christof
Rolling a 1: One of your pencils (Haunted Pencils) immediately tries to attack you, biting you on your main writing hand. Ouch! Now you have to write it with your non dominant hand (or limb) Rolling a 2: You notice that one of the pieces of paper is printed backwards. Or maybe you don't. Maybe it's a test... Rolling a 3: One of your Haunted Pencils becomes intangible and half-sinks into your desk. You spend a good deal of time trying to get it out Rolling a 4: Whomever is seated directly behind you keeps on making weird sniffly noises that are really distracting. You can barely concentrate Rolling a 5: Your Haunted Pen jumps out and starts scribbling random doodles all over your desk, and anything it comes in contact with. You have to wrangle it to submission. Rolling a 6: Another note slips out from your envelope. It just reads "THE ANSWER FOR EVERYTHING IS MINIPET POOP"
Andrew hated tests. Mostly he hated reading tests, but tests in general sucked too. He let out a groan as they were all shooed into the auditorium to take exams. The ranting about complete failure if they failed this test didn't bother him. (Back home they said that about every test. He still managed to graduate his last year in Firelands.) But being shoved into a giant room with lots of student was just suffering on it's own.
Then his pen started acting up, doodling on everything. He groaned and tried to pin the Damn thing down, wasting precious time on his test.

After a few minutes, he finally got the thing under control and tried to just take the stupid test and get it over with.
As he took it, he had to wonder just who wrote some of these questions. some of them didn't even have answers he could fully give. Career? Jack if he knew! He added an extra bubble.
What was a 2DAC anyway? Well he skipped that question.
The last question stumped him for a moment. Clearly it was supposed to be all of the above but... he highly doubted a single student in the school actually liked him. He adjusted the test again.
Sheridan snorted, his tail twitching behind him, arms crossed as he walked through the auditorium door. His posture showed clear irritation, irritation not at the prospect of a test, but rather at whoever was behind that voice. He did not believe a word of what they had spoken, either they were lying or completely delusional, or more likely it they were trying to screw with the students minds. Not like that was uncommon around this school or with the staff. This was the same staff that had used them as bait against the hunters, that had allowed the horsemen to throw them into a literal hell, the same faculty that saw to it they all were subjected to horrible dissipation on a regular basis.
His tail continued to twitch like an annoyed cat as he opened the envelope and examined it's contents. Oh look, one of the pages was backward. He hardly seemed surprised, only rolling his eyes and deciding it was likely done on purpose. Whatever, it could still read it well enough. It might take an extra moment to read it, but really? A backward page? Reading backward was not that difficult.
Reading through the questions, there was another snort. The first two questions seemed normal enough, but beyond that? Hah! What the jack kind of questions were these anyway? Who had even written this test and what were they smoking?
Looking up from the paper, he glanced around the room. Partly to search if he was or wasn't the only one who thought this was completely ridiculous, and partly to search for whoever was behind this (and maybe he was looking for a familiar face as well).
Finally with a grunt that could be taken to mean 'whatever', Sheridan picked up one of the pencils and worked on filling out the 'test'. One question in particular had nearly made him snort a 'HAH!' out loud. A great team of staff? Riiiiiigt..... Still he could not say he regretted his time at Ammityville. It was here he had met Tess, it was where he had met friends that given him an inspiration to strength, and a reason to fight and protect. If nothing else, that made his time here worth it.
Why yes, yes he was a smart a** and wrote his answers backward. This may or may not have wasted most of the testing period.

Steffani was anxious but assumed this was a normal thing, r-right? She was only a first year, and had no idea just how bad this test would be. What freshman ever goes into an exam thinking it'll be the end of all things?
She was fine until she heard words like "failure at life" and "ruined forever". Then she got a little anxious, but it'd be fine. She knew her place in life. It'd be--
Oh for Jack's sake was her test backwards?!!
She raised a hand meekly, hoping to get it fixed, but her eyes kept glancing to the clock. Time was not on her side, she only had sixty minutes. And the more she stared at the test, well… She could kind of read it?
Oh Jack.
Swallowing anxiously, Steff picked up her pencil and started filling in the answers, trying her best on the questions that were jacking backwards.

Taima loved tests. It was less because it provided her with an opportunity to put her countless hours spent in the library to good use--though, honestly, that made everything a lot easier--and more because each exam represented a new challenge to overcome. Every successfully aced exam was another step on Taima's journey towards Great Things.
What those Great Things were, Taima had no idea yet. She just liked knowing stuff, and wondered sometimes why that couldn't be enough. Maybe this career aptitude test would help her discover what her knowledge and ambition should be applied towards.
Taima slid into the first free seat she saw, opening the sealed envelope and sliding the test papers out. A small note card fluttered out of the stack; curious, Taima picked it up and read it. Frowning, she put the note card face down on the desk, then turned her attention to the test. After giving the questions a brief read-through, she set about filling them in, confident in her answers.
Spoiler: none of her answers were "minipet poop."

Scurrying in, face hidden by her hood, Emily quickly found a seat and did her best to be as invisible as possible. Classes and other academics were one of her weakest points (that and attendance...and pretty much everything else let's be real here) and part of why it had taken her so long to reach Second Year. (It was also part of why she was surprised she reached it all.) She really, really wanted to still have the optimistic can-do attitude she had arrived at the academy with. But events had damaged and hardened her to the point where she was no longer worried about being the best or making her family proud. She wasn't the best, she wasn't even good. But she could be better, and she could survive, and maybe if she was careful she wouldn't bring others down with her every time she failed.
Glancing down at the sealed exam, she gave it a somewhat cynical look. This probably wasn't going to end with assurances of success, but she could live with that.
Name: Emily Device
There, that was easy enough at least.
Date _____
Oh Jack what day was it again? She'd had trouble with the passge of time ever since...
Sighing, Emily just guessed.
Date: 10/26/2012
That looked kind of accurate.
Where does FEAR come from: humans
Somebody sniffle behind her, and she shifted slightly away from them. Maybe they were just sad.
A healthy FEAR consists of a healthy human (maybe?) and a healthy scarer She really had no idea. Jack she knew she should have tried going to more of Cricket's classes! Even Mr. Monty had said so!
To become a successful Boogeymen you need to have
Emily squinted at the options. It sounded like a trick question.
All of the above
To become a Trick or Treater you need to have
This one also seemed like a trick question. Especially with that trickster answer. In fact this whole question was probably some weird trap.
Sniffle-snrk-sniffle
Maybe the student behind her was sick...
What if it was contagious?
Did she bring any protection charms? Yes, five in fact, but would they even work against whatever this was? Growing more concerned she quickly circled an answer and moved on.
None of the above.
To become a professor you to have: - The ability to battle and army of the cafeteria food at a moments notice and emerge victorious
The only consistent trait Emily saw in the professors was that they were one-in-all extremely formidable in ways that would likely be forever beyond her.
There was a another snuffle behind her and Emily has a brief, almost manic urge to shove her pencil through their windpipe (if they had one.) Instead she tries to block out the sound by thinking about JD's guitar solo in Shot Through The Brains. Somehow the snuffling grows louder and all she can think about is summoning the Monty Cannon and shooting them through the brains because not only was she probably going to catch something mouldy and awful from them, but they were distracting her from her already pretty sad looking exam. Seriously, if she was going to fail, couldn't she at least do it in peace? Making a tiny noise like mouse squeaking assassination orders, Emily tried to redirect her attention back to the papers.
What are the key elements of a human?
WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN? Jack it, she was just going to guess the rest of these questions and maybe in ten years she'll graduate and become a-a-a-a FRICKEN GNOME or something.
If you were in FEAR handling situation no 2dac class b. how would you handle this situation.
Emily stared at the question for a long, long time and then finally put pencil to paper with a symphony of sniffles sounding in the background.
My life is one of darkness and sorrow. Hope has not been burned or torn away from me, but rather weathered away by the sands of time, failure, and poor luck. How would I handle that situation? I wouldn't. I would walk back into my personal void and shut the door tightly behind me as I wouldn't know what the jack was going on because someone had to describe it in codes rather than using their words. Maybe I wouldn't die as a result, but as I said, hope is no longer with me.
The sniffling continued and Emily could only wonder how long it was until her skin started sloughing off as a result of whatever plague they were carrying.
Which classes are important in taking to graduate?
Um. Emily flushed a bit and tried to pretend she actually went to classes as she answered.
All of them.
Lets just go with the safest, most generalized, answer possible.
Where would you consider your level of FEAR mastery?
13 orange
Because yeah, she could do that code thing too, so how do you like those pumpkins, huh?
I am currently in: Second Year
Somehow.
My goal is to become: None of the above
Deep down, there was something she wanted to become. But it was so, so astronomically unlikely that even trying to hope for it preemptively left her feeling heart-broken and empty.
Amityville provides me best with: All of the above.
After all, it wasn't the school's fault she was a failure.

Diana enters the room and picks up her envelope before heading to an empty desk. Sitting down she stares at the envelope for a moment and sighs. She couldn't stand test really. She just wasn't any good at them. She was much better at hands on type of things. Glaring at the unopened envelope before sighing again and opening it, dumping it's contents onto her desk. Staring at the two pencils and the two sheets of paper she shakes her head. She just knew it would be a longer test then she wanted. Why couldn't they just take a physical or something? Diana then decides that she should just get it over with and goes to pick up one of the pencils.

Rolling a 3: One of your Haunted Pencils becomes intangible and half-sinks into your desk. You spend a good deal of time trying to get it out.
She glares as the pencil she had reached for sunk into the desk. Giving it a good glare she tries to get a hold of the thing, however it takes her several tries and many minutes to even get it in her hand. Even then it took her a bit of pulling and shoving at the pencil to finally get it to come out of the desk. Panting slightly, her tail twitching in annoyance she growls. However she was glad she could finally really start the stupid test. Readying her pencil she jabs it into her finger to get some blood on it and smirks before quickly writing down her answers. Reapplying the blood from her finger as necessary. Once done, she grins as she looks down at her exam sheets.
