Just as Jerry was sinking in up to his chin, accepting his fate as worst guy to ever step foot into a swamp, a thick fist grabbed him by the shirt, hauling him up and out and dragged him to more solid ground.
Jerry was weeping slightly. Perhaps out of relief.

The small boy cradled the single flower in his hands. This was what the King was looking for? Although it hurt him to carry it, the boy felt no fear. If his King wanted him to feel pain, he would feel pain. It was easy while he carried the emotionless peace of purgatory with him, unable to succumb to despair or heartache even though he knew these flowers might kill him before he reached his goal.
The little one stooped down for another handful of flowers.

Carefully Soren plucked an additional two flowers, adding them to the first. A simple glance revealed that he really did not have that many, the three looked almost pathetic, and with that thought in mind he continued to scour the landscape, looking for slightly imperfect flowers to weed them from the rest.

Before he knew it Soren had collected several flowers, creating a rather nice bundle in his hands. It was time for him to move on so he held them loosely in one hand as he delved deeper into the labyrinth.

They entered a an area devoid of flowers, follwoing the strange creatures that also seemed to be migrating. "Weird.." was all Cee could say. She wasn't sure if they were cute or ugly and she certainly didn't want to chance touching one in case it was hostile.
Every step seemed to make her feel weaker and despite Snap remaining silent and looking unaffected, Cee herself was feeling weak and a sheen of sweat popped over her skin.

Yin began to move toward the altar, watching as others threw in only part of their flowers, others chunking them all in. He could not see the point in gathering flowers, making it this far, and then throwing even more away. He knew that when he approached he would sacrifice all of them to the altar.

Making it to the next sector did nothing to cheer him up. If nothing else, the environment drained Harland of all will to live. All he could do was watch the animals wander around, indifferent to him; at one point, he collapsed in the grass, and thought maybe he could just rest a little while... but those red flowers shone at him, and he knew that if he stayed, things would surely only get worse for him. So he picked himself up, and kept on moving.
He had so little energy, and so little of his personality left intact after all the Labyrinth had subjected him to, that he didn't even think to search for Crispin or Alastair, though they could probably see him wandering off into the distance as he made his way to the next Sector.

Yin approached the purifier, three measly flowers in hand, and offered them, shifting uneasily as he waited. He did not have to wait long, the flowers were destroyed, leaving nothing in their wake and he cringed. Empty-handed. He would have to go back empty-handed. The dishonor that he would have as a knight...if he had thought that it would regain a scrap of honor he might have thrown himself into the purifier as well. As it was he would be forced to go back and let his queen know that he had failed her.

Amrita moved past the flowers, cautiously holding them as the scenery once more changed. The place was getting brighter, more vibrant, and the heavy Miasma in the air seemed to thin and weaken. Nothing seemed to pay her any mind, and really this whole area seemed fair harmle---
There was a tingle in her arms, and before she realized what was happening, she was screaming. The flowers she held were ruthless, tearing up the robes and shadows that made up her arms and torso, sizzling and burning away the veil she wore, her nearly pitch black body turning various shades of grey as the energy was taken from her.
When she recovered she found herself kneeling on the floor, clutching the flowers despite the pain they were putting her through. For her Kingdom, she could endure. Had to endure. Pain, so much pain...and yet she struggled back to her feet and continued on.
She was almost there. So close.
But still...ow ow ow ow ow

Dazed and a little confused as his partner gave him a good firm shake, it took a minute before Roar's voice registered. "Flowers? Yeah... yeah pickin' flowers sounds nice..." He mumbled.
Roar gave a disgruntled noise, tossing him at the flower bed. "Then make yerself useful already. And NO, not by blowing anything up- yes, good. That's how you do it."
Jerry hummed as he picked a couple flowers.

The two of them were leaving, together, and heading into the rest of the Labyrinth. Olivia perked her head up slowly as her Silver friend gave his goodbyes, her little pained smile floating into a genuine one. His name, she finally had his name. She opened her mouth, gaping like a fish for a moment as he already began to leave.
"My name is Olivia!" She called back, but by then she had no idea if he even have a chance to hear it. Damn the distance, damn her small voice.
Olivia turned back to the flowers, continuously picking just a few more in sadness and growing fatigue. Where ever she got to, all she wanted to do now was curl into a ball and probably cry ... and sleep.
