Janis gave her shoulders a slight shrug. "I don't know. I feel fine." she said, chuckling a little. "I think you just worry too much...." she trained off, suddening feeling odd. Well, not completely true. She'd been overriding it. The feeling was getting worse. She pulled away from Cornelius with an apologetic look. "Um, scratch that, I think I jinxed myself." She had a rising sense of nausea and she tired to fight it off. To be safe she got up and walked outside of the cave. She'd hate to make a mess in there home. She changed back into human form, hoping that might help. It didn't. "Ugh," she moaned, trying hard not to be sick. "I don't want to ever eat raw meat again." (thought I might change it... Had an idea... well... been planning it but decided to go along with it already)

Had an idea... well... been planning it but decided to go along with it already) Cornelius followed her outside when she started saying she jinxed herself and the moment she changed back into a human he did too. He rushed over to her and gripped her shoulder, "How bad do you really feel?" he asked. He did not think raw meat could effect him or someone like her this quickly, but he always knew he could be wrong. "Should I go find Sampson and have him come over here?" He started to rub her back with his hands to try and calm her down, but he doubted it would work. She looked a little pale to him. "Perhaps I could go by some medicine for you?" he offered.

Janis shook her head, unable to answer. She couldn't hold back anymore and finally emptied her stomach by the nearest bush. Once the heaving stopped, she wiped her mouth and leaned against Cornelius. "I don't know if we should bother Samson." she said. She didn't want to cause him to worry too. This should pass. Hopefully. "I think I may have just caught a bug. Maybe you could bring me something to help settle my stomach? I feel a little less nauseous now." she insisted. She didn't want him to worry too much. She was glad he was here though. Her body seemed to be acting strange today. Right now she just felt washed out.

Cornelius nodded and went to the back of their large cave. Inside the very back was a cellar where ginger roots grew. He pulled one out and brought it back to Janis. Holding it up to her mouth he said, "You can eat this whole thing unprocessed and it might help or just try to sniff it and see if that helps." Cornelius stated. "I'm not really sure how to prepare anything with ginger in it, but this should help your stomach a little either way." As he finished speaking he really wondered if she had some kind of flu or not. She seemed tired which was a symptom of the flu, but to him it was a different kind of tiredness. He would do the best he could to help though.

Janis followed Cornelius back into the cave and sat against the wall. She took the ginger offered with a grateful smile. "Thank you Cornelius." She sniffed it and carefully started to nimble on it. Her stomach didn't have an adverse effect so it was a start. "I hope I won't make you sick. I'd hate to spread, whatever this is, around. I'm sorry." she laughed nervously. She continued to nimble on the ginger. It didn't have the best taste, but it seemed to be helping her.

"You really just need to rest. I'm sure once you do you'll feel as perky as I know you are." Cornelius closed his eyes and rested his head against her shoulder. It didn't matter to him what form she was in she was always interesting to him. He grabbed at her black hair and ran his fingers through it trying to smooth it out. "This hair of yours didn't get damaged when you threw up did it? What about your clothes? Is there any damage to them because if there is I can wash them for you."

Janis sighed as he held her, wrapping her arms around him. "I'm sure you are right." she mumbled. She was surprised at his suggestion, though she shouldn't have been. He was alway so kind to her. She was grateful she had such a wonderful husband. "I don't know. I guess I forgot to check." she answered. "However, I'm pretty sure my clothes are undamaged. I don't know about my hair though. I may wash anyway." she admitted. She sighed again. "So much for a whole day as my dragon self. I guess we will try tomorrow, hmm? Now help me up, Dearest. I should change." She ran her hand threw his short hair with a gentle smile.

She had her arms wrapped around him and wondered what she also meant by her comment about "I guess we will try tomorrow, hmmm?" Did she want to be a dragon the full day tomorrow? It was strange to him, but he finally said with a serious face as he pulled away from her, "I can help you with your hair, but not so much your clothes... You know... I'm a guy and well, you're a girl. I'm sure you'd like a bit of privacy, especially after this sudden illness of yours. I didn't think humans caught them this fast and I've never seen a dragon catch one this fast either." He shrugged and reached for a blue hair brush and put it to her black hair. "I'm going to straighten this out for you."

Janis smiled. "Just help be with my hair and I'll take care of the rest." she said with a smile. She wasn't too worried about him helping her with the clothes, but it would be better this time around if she took care of that herself. "I didn't think I would either, but things happen. Hopefully it's something brief." she said. She sat still while he took care of her hair. She found it relaxing and closed her eyes as he worked out the knot and smoothed it out. "Thank you, Cornelius. You take good care of me." she told him. "Have you heard form Samson lately?" she said, just wanting to talk for the moment.

Cornelius shook his head no while stroking the hair brush through Janis's fine, black hair. "I've not seen Samson in a while. He might be near our house taking his time relaxing. But why do you ask?"
He raised his eyebrow slightly upon voicing his curiosity to express his curiosity. His eyes showed a bit of worry as he pupils looked down towards Janis's stomach. "Do you think you might be sick with something unfamiliar?"

Janis turned looked at Cornelius, eyes wide. She took his hand. "Oh, no. Not at all. I just thought a subject change would help us both not to worry." she explained, apologetically. "Like I said, it's probably just the stomach flu." She was a little worried herself. She didn't just get sick. Usually there was a first sign or something. Was her fatigue the first clue and she'd missed it? She shook her head, not sure. It didn't matter now. "I'd better go ahead and clean up so I can get some rest." she said aloud. "I'll be quick."
And she was relatively quick. They had worked on their cave and home now. She'd even tested her magic here. After finding out how to use some of her abilites she'd made this cave a place with running water. She returned hair damp and fresh clothes on.

Cornelius took in all of Janis's words and began to relax on a chair near the bathroom while he waited for her. When she came out he stated, "I think you may have been in there too long you look nice, but you're really, really wet. Despite that, how did you get water into the cave?" He had thought for a while about building a water system into any new cave he started, but every time he tried they always collapsed on him. (Sorry for the short posts. I have been busy and tired the last few days.)

(Don't worry about it. Everyone gets busy. So just post when you can ^-^ Thank you for telling me though. I appreciate it) Janis nodded. "I suppose. I'll finished drying soon. My hair just holds alot of water. Plus, I don't mind being a little damp." she told him. She sat beside him, careful not to let her hair drip on him. She thought a moment on how exactly she got the water to run. "I am a water dragon. So I knew I'd have an affinity for it. I know how to do some magic. So I decided to experiment and combine the things I know. I could feel the water in a cave system deep down. I just kind of pulled it up and also made a way out for it. I've kind of... bound it to flow the way I need it." She raise her hands, at a loss to explain it in a more detailed manner.

He wrapped his arm around her waist and added, "Is there anything else you want to talk about while your hair drys Janie?" He reached in and stuck his tongue against her neck to lap up a few up of the water droplets falling down the back of her neck. He pulled back then and said, "Sorry about that, we are husband and wife, but truth be told sometimes I think I take it too far trying to have fun or do fun things with you. I hope you don't mind what I just did to you."

She did have a few this she'd been meaning to ask but never got the chance the past few days.... Her mind went absolutely blank as he licked the back of her neck. Goosebumps raised on her arms and a blush came to her cheeks. She looked at him surprised at the action. He never did stop surprising her. She finally chuckled. "It's true, you never stop surprising me. But I don't mind. It's just me and you hear, so you don't have to be afraid of taking it too far. And if you do, I tell you." she stated, with a smile. She leaned over to kiss him on the forhead.
