[POKEYMANZ... and Yuri]

After bounding in and slashing at the true Absol, Opal had cautiously jumped back, seemingly perfectly timed for Repede-friend's attack to hit as well.

Unfortunately, it didn't seem as if she had jumped back far enough. The darker of the Absols retaliated with a Hyper Beam. Had she jumped back another one or two feet further, she might have been in the clear. Instead, her temporary right foreleg was hit by the raw beam of energy. "SOL!!!" she nearly screeched, her leg crumbling beneath her while the other three kept holding her up.

That cry didn't sound right. The girl began to move forward, oblivious to the exacts of what had happened. She could make out the Hyper Beam, but she couldn't make out how it had affected her only Pokemon.

"Opal... what happened to Opal?!"

"...Sol sol absol..." ...It gave me an ouchie...

"...ab sol absol..." ...but I'm fine...

Rather than remain in place, the Pokemon awkwardly stood herself as tall as she could before limping forward. She first checked with Repede-friend to see how he was doing. Had he been hit by the Hyper Beam as well? Regardless of his condition, she leaned down and gave him a big lick to his cheek before staggering forward some more.

The dark form of the other Absol wasn't moving. There was no reason for her to do such, but she made her way to the Pokemon, then knelt down carefully as to not hurt her newly injured leg much more. She couldn't rest thanks to Delic-friend's rampaging, but she settled her head upon the black Pokemon's shoulder, as if it was where she belonged right now.

[Teh Manz and Ivory]

Repede had been out of the path of the hyper beam, and thus remained untouched by the power blast. He did though have a slash mark across his shoulder where the earlier attack had hit him, but it wasn't that deep. What was worse was the assault on his ears from the Uproar, and he folded them back with a whine.

Upon realizing that Opal had been hurt, Repede walked over to the limping white Absol and sniffed at her wound. That was when he received a big sloppy kiss across his cheek. He was surprised but also pleased that Opal seemed to be relatively fine.

"She's all right," Yuri assured Ivory as her worried cries reached his ears. "She was clipped by that beam, but she'll make it." He then looked up in time to hear the complaints of some red head, just as a security detail showed up. "And here comes the cavalry." A bit too late now that the Absol had fainted.

As Opal settled down next to the real Absol, Repede dutifully sat next to her. That Pokemon was no longer a threat, but she had been injured also.

(Pokemonz)

When the Hyber Beam was shot off, Maiko was close enough to the ground to not get hit. Instead as soon as the Absol dropped she peered at Opal until the temporary Absol said she was fine then skittered over to the fallen pokemon. "Rak spi na." She asked just to make sure everyone was ok or will be ok though as she got to the Absol. The spider poked him a half dozen times after being sure he was out, then proceeded to play with his fur. No one was moving or recalling him yet so there was no reason for her to not to have some fun!

(Opal, Yuri)

"Yuri! Yuri, are you hurt?!" a young voice cried out as the girl-in-boy's clothing came running up to Yuri and Ivory. She looked at the pair of them, her eyes filled with concern. "I heard shouting and saw people falling over! Is everyone okay?" Tymiko glanced anxiously from Yuri to Ivory to the newly-arrived security guards.

(Pokemon, anyone near the dance floor)

The Chingling ceased his Uproar not long after he saw Kid go down. He cast his fellow surrounding pokemon an apologetic look, rubbing the back of his round head.

At least until he heard his trainer come up behind him. "Ching...?" Delic looked up at Izaya, but the Rocket didn't seem to notice. He glared at the unconscious Absol on the ground, staring hard for a few minutes at it before holding out Delic's Love Ball.

Delic eagerly returned. It seemed Izaya wasn't so concerned about his report on Opal's shininess anymore. Though his trainer didn't seem angry at him, necessarily, it was probably best stay out of the way for now.

(Everyone involved with handling the rogue Absol)

Once Delic had been withdrawn, Nakura put on his most remorseful expression as he approached the pokemon on the dance floor. There was a white Absol laying her head on Kid's shoulder, which surprised Izaya. Where had that one come from? As far as the other two pokemon...they were more familiar.

The Growlithe was most definitely Yuri's. And that Spinarak...oh, how he wanted to kick it off Kid. But he couldn't; not while surrounded by the public and security guards. Not while being the trainer responsible for Kid's actions. And certainly not if that Spinarak's owner was anywhere nearby.

Glancing over, he gave a meek smile to Yuri and Ivory, holding a hand up in greeting before approaching the security guards, Oliver and Clyde. The sight and sound of KO made Izaya very reluctant to continue as planned, but this was far too important not to own up to being Kid's trainer.

Anyway, it wasn't his fault and his partner - or, rather, his date - could testify to that. Of course it was all the fault of that wild, mischievous Zorua. The one that had snuck into the party through the guise of a human boy and somehow seemed to have gotten away during all the commotion.

Speaking calmly and humbly, Orihara deeply apologized to the security for his pokemon's rampant and destructive behavior. Absol weren't know as Disaster Pokemon for no reason, after all.

He explained carefully and calmly about how he had been attacked and how his Absol - who he had only recently obtained and had not yet properly trained - had gotten free. Of course he made sure to offer to pay for any damage caused by his pokemon.

[Tymiko, Izaya, Ivory]

Hearing his name, Yuri tore his attention away from the scene and towards a familiar tomboy.

"More or less," he said to the girl over her concern for everyone's well being. He then smirked. "Where you been, Champ? I was starting to think you stood me up."

His gaze then caught sight of someone who was apparently the rampaging Absol's owner. Yuri's smirk now changed to a frown as he gazed at Izaya for a couple moments. Yuri said nothing as the asian man passed in order to apologize to the security guards.

(Izaya)

Maiko caught sight of the Absol's trainer after he returned Delic and blinked up at him. Name, looks, nothing was familiar, or at least nothing familiar was tugging at her since she was distracted by staring at his hair. Her front forelegs twitched and she shifted a bit closer, forgetting about the black and white pokemon with pretty fur. Everything else fell victim to her tunnel vision as she stared at the black locks. It would probably look pretty in either a tiny ponytail or tiny pigtails...

[Yuri + Tymiko + Izaya + POKEYMANZ]

Though Opal would "make it," as Yuri phrased it, Ivory still looked quite concerned. "...I guess that means I will need to visit the Pokemon Center after this... or... something..." It was a bit trickier to treat a ditto for an injury, since their forms changed so much.

As she worried, someone managed to show up and announce (in a sense) that they were familiar with Yuri. A girl based off the voice, though the clothing didn't lend to a girl as far as she could tell.

Meekly, she attempted to add to the conversation as best as she could "...from what I can tell, some of the Pokemon that got injured... not so much any people."

The albino Pokemon didn't seem willing to move from her current spot, but greatly appreciated the company of Repede-friend. "Sol sol absol ab absol ab ab!" She easily admitted that she was curious about what had set the Absol-friend off. He had mentioned needing to fix something.

For a moment she perked up, noticing Delic-friend had calmed down, but Delic-friend was called back by what she could assume was his trainer. "Soooooooolllll...." she said, somewhat reminiscent to a human saying awwwwwwww in disappointment. Opal wanted to help Delic-friend with bringing more people to the dance floor.

Oh well, now was a nice time to relax. Turning to the little Spinarak, the albino asked if Maiko friend could play with her fur some more. "Sol sol absol absol?"

[Izayaish]

...It belonged to Nakura?

KO took a sip of his drink to give himself a moment to smooth out his expression; getting another Rocket into trouble was not a great plan, especially when they outranked you. It wasn't like he could know every single rocket's pokemon on sight, but from a lifetime of dealing with criminals of different styles and scenes he knew intentions counted for exactly nothing in most cases. Hopefully everything would smooth out and be forgotten, but failing that he wasn't afraid to kiss up for a while if if meant avoiding making an enemy.

(Emil)

Anastasia squirmed slightly as the boy stood up, but she was comfortable and content so she didn't try to get down. Instead, she raised her head to lick his chin a few times. The sudden commotion from some pokemon startled her, causing her ears to twitch backwards, but since the pokemon causing the issues didn't come near any of them, she remained where she was.

-------------------------

(Aulus and possibly Izaya a bit)

"Mmh," Claire responded as she stepped closer, her opposite hand lifting so that her fingers could curl around his upper arm as she rested her temple on his shoulder. Pest problem indeed. Clearly this man hadn't heard of Galactic. "Very weird," she agreed, and agreed again with a soft snort of amusement when the second man hopped up on stage. "Oh, yes - so much confidence." Confidence that he would be useless to his city. The first one, however, seemed either little more than an overconfident idiot, or someone to be wary of. She chose the latter.

She lifted her head again when the second man was finished, the beginnings of a perfect mood edging into her mind - until some Absol began running rampant and attacking people and pokemon alike, effectively killing anything she would have started to think about. The agent watched with a frown - what idiot would let such a pokemon loose in here? - but since it didn't come close, she didn't bother to do anything else. This wasn't her territory, so it wasn't her problem. It didn't take too long for the offending dark-type to be taken care of, and when a man stepped up to claim it, her hazel eyes narrowed very slightly. Well, well, she couldn't consider herself overly surprised. She vaguely recalled a previous meeting where he said he was having trouble with his pokemon, so it stood to reason he'd have trouble with anymore he acquired since then. While his powers of being incorrigibly nosy seemed unrivaled, he didn't strike her as a very good trainer, to be perfectly honest.

[Everyone]

The mayor had just slotted the microphone back into the podium stand when someone in the crowd screamed. "Er." He was interrupted by another scream, then a shout, as more party guests fell victim to Kid's attentions. The balding man fumbled the mic back out of the stand to exclaim "Everyone please, remain calm!" while he craned his neck to see what was going on. "Er. Security!"

It took some time for the suits to maneuver through the crowd, by which point the Absol had been handily dealt with and its owner had rushed over, spouting contrite apologies. People were upset. A lot of people were upset, tables were overturned, the dance floor was scratched, and it took another speech - plea, even - from the mayor to keep order. This was meant to be a happy gathering, accidents happened and no one was seriously hurt, let's not spoil a successful night.

Still, the atmosphere wasn't quite the same after that. Several people had left, either shaken, upset, or in need of new clothes, and though things carried, by the end of the next hour numbers were dwindling. Little by little, the party wrapped up.

As the returning Rockets crossed over into the desert, the lights on their Rocketdexes blinked as the perimeter guard system noted their return. This was a standard security procedure, although it usually happened further in.

For a few, the devices crackled to life.

After helping Tambrey back to her feet and watching the end of the absol's rampage, Kratos was quite ready to call out Yuan and return to base. He bid both Tambrey and Mr. Weidman a good night and wandered through the thinning crowd for a short time before finally leaving the gathering. As soon as he'd gotten far enough away to have both room and some privacy, he released his pidgeot and mounted, flying in the direction of the base.

However, just as the pidgeot crossed over the border of the desert, his Rocketdex jumped to life with an identification request. The hairs on the back of his neck rose - this was far from standard procedure, and to his mind this deviation meant that perhaps his paranoia over the evening hadn't been so undeserved after all. Signaling the bird to cease flying to headquarters, he signaled for the pidgeot to land as he responded to the transmission. "Grunt Kratos, Identification number zero two one six dash three seven seven seven."

Something was clearly wrong - maybe it had to do with those cards. If they really were more than a simple written card, then it wouldn't be a good idea to return to the base with them, that much was certain. Then again, maybe it wasn't the cards - maybe it was something else entirely. He couldn't be certain of anything yet except that something abnormal was happening. Nonetheless, there was no reason to panic or become frightened. Being delayed like this was a cause for concern, yes - but not a cause for panic. Panic was a useless, pointless sort of emotion.

What would happen would happen, regardless of what one felt about it or however they wished too avoid it. Fate was all too often an unkind mistress, and her hand weighed heavily on everyone. Kratos knew that all too well.

(trying to hop back into the ORP now. sad
Faleen's driving back, anyone can hitch a ride with her if they want to. )

Her head hurt, and she could probably think of several different reasons for this.
None of it really mattered really, Faleen was just happy to be heading back to HQ. Get out of this dress, the heels having already been kicked off when she got into the car.

It had been an interesting night, eventful... though she spent most of it tucked away in the background, blending in with the rest of the formal no-bodies while something of a chaotic scene seemed to be taking place.
She avoided that as carefully as she could, though she wasn't quite sure what was going on with the whole fiasco.

But now, she was tired, and again... her head hurt.
That idiotic League, pompous morons.

Her brow furrowed, when a sudden beeping, a sudden familiar beeping from her Rocketdex caused her to glance over at the small bag she had carried with her.
It didn't take but a split second for her eyes to widen in surprise and borderline panic before the Agent was pulling the vehicle into the quickest stop she could work from it, and reaching for her dex.

She knew what that sound means, and she knew what not complying to that sound meant. After all, she was one of the Rockets who worked on, and maintained the desert defenses (on the Robotics aspect at least)
They were good machines, very well made, and she knew better then anyone that being on the business end of one of them would be a terrible terrible way to end the night.

"This is Agent Faleen Ewell, returning from Camphoreon. HQ, what is the proximity warning I'm getting?"

Nakura had been silent as he'd slipped into the seat beside the driver's in the borrowed Rocket vehicle. His face was blank, mouth sent in a thin line as he stared ahead, review the prior events of the evening in his head.

What a nightmare... he thought, though he knew it could have ended far worse - both for him and the other Rockets. At least he hadn't been arrested, nor had the owner of that Spinarak found him.

The grunt had also happened to obtain a new pokemon, but that hadn't been enough to ease the growing knot in his stomach. He felt that he had failed his partner yet again, and even if he hadn't intentionally initiated the trouble this time, he had been powerless to stop it. Nakura did not look at Faleen during the ride back.

Maybe his suspicions had been right after all.
Maybe he really was getting too soft around his teammates.

How else could he explain his lack of awareness toward his surroundings?
He should have seen the disguised Zorua coming and taken proper action using his pokemon, not tried to take care of it himself. But Aoba's face had taken him by surprise because he'd let his guard down upon being reunited with Faleen. So much for trying to show his partner how he'd improved in her absence.

The black-haired grunt subconsciously noted that their Rocketdex lights blinked somewhat farther from the base than usual, but he was too wrapped up in his own thoughts to give it much heed.

At least until an ominous voice emitted from their devices. Briefly, the grunt glanced at his partner. "Mendokusē..." he muttered under his breath as he took out his own dex to reply into it. "Grunt Nakura, returning from Camphoreon with partner Agent Faleen," the man stated in a monotone voice. He didn't like where this was going; especially if Faleen was as clueless as he was about it.

His gaze drifted down to the card he'd put in his pocket and he retrieved it from his clothes to look it over. "Is there a problem?" With the hand not holding the card, he rapidly input the information from it into his 'dex notes, making sure to be as accurate as possible. If only he had done this earlier - but no, he'd gotten distracted by his Absol.

If there was something in or on the cards that was tracking their location, Nakura wouldn't have been surprised. Those things had been given out far too generously; particularly by a man who had suggested in his short speech that there may have been Rockets among the other party guests.

After bidding farewell to Natalia, Asch decided to hitch a ride with Faleen and Izaya back to the HQ. He sat in one of the passenger seats silently staring out the window when voices spoke from the speakers of some other Rocket Dexes. However, his remained silent.

As Faleen pulled the vehicle over though, the red head unbuckled his seat belt and leaned in between Faleen and Izaya's seats.

"What's going on?" He asked as he looked at both of their Rocket Dexes. The two of them had set off the perimeter security, obviously. But why? And why them?

And then suddenly his went off as well. What the?

Pulling out his own dex, Asch frowned at it before pushing the button to send a message back.

"This is Agent Asch, accompanying Agent Faleen back from Camphoreon."

The response all the Rockets received was terse and to the point.

"You're transmitting on an unauthorized frequency. Remain where you are; a team is being sent out."
