Arathien grew up in a Pard of leopards that were a militarist Pard, and emphasis on military fitness began virtually at birth. Shortly after birth, a mother would bathe her cub in the fast moving river next to the Pard's territory to see whether the cub was strong. If the cub survived it was brought before the Aelaes Tylor (Elder's Council) by the cub's father. The Aelaes Tylor then decided whether it was to be reared or not. If they considered it weak, or if it showed any other color on its main pelt but black, it was left for the scavengers. If not it became part of the Pard.
The Pard tolerated nothing but obedience, loyalty, and service. Every member had a role, decided for it by they time they were juvenile age, and a mate chosen for them by adolescence. Rebellion was dealt with swiftly, by death. Leaving was considered treason, and the Pard would hunt you down. No matter how long, or how far you ran. To live once leaving, you must be strong, smarter, and swifter then they.

Colourist: Eavi razz ersonality: Luaith, due to his visions, tends to keep to himself more then anything else. When he is not plagued by them, or when a creature takes the time to get past the barriers he has placed around himself, they will find a quiet, but well spoken young lion. He is intelligent and observant, but has learned that unless asked, it is better not to speak. Like the male that raised him, Luaith is extremely polite, and treats all with equal respect. However, he lacks the mischievous and playful nature that Alasiri tried to impart onto him. Perhaps with time, and the fuller understanding, or perhaps removal of his visions all together, it may show itself. :History: All his life Luaith has had visions, only they have never been ones that have been of good fortune. They have always been dark prophecies, that spell of disaster. When he was young they were the small, never more then a hurt a paw or a tiny rock slide, but they were still frighting to the young cub and often his mother(Kibaasi) or adoptive father (Alasiri) stayed up well into the night to ease his fear for the visions were never clear, just blood and pain, or dirt and darkness, and always as if happening to him. As he grew so did they in scale and detail. They've tormented him, because they have always been frequent, and he has always had this need to warn the animal its going to happen to, or prevent the event. Only it is almost never easy as for the most part Luaith suffers from the Casandra syndrome, to always see true, but to never be believed. Colourist: razz ersonality:. Makani was a good leader, or the best he could be as young as he was, using his brain instead of is brawn. He did his best not to be goaded into a fight by the lone female of the trio who seemed bent of causing strife between the males and herself. Makani was forced into keeping his head to keep them alive. He thought things through as best he could, sometimes coming up with radical ideas to help them through the hard times. It took will power and cunning, and it left him often feeling like the outsider among the three, but he felt he had a responsibility to her though his friend and so he did what his honor told him he should, so despite exchanging harsh words with her, he never lifted a paw to her.
.:History: Makani was once the leader of a very small pack, his pup hood friend who he had feelings for he did not under stand until a female came into the picture. Durring a long drought in the Bone Lands that female showed her true colors and ran off Makani's friend, who had been courting her, and betrayed Makani to the lions by stealing one of their cubs and bring it back to hims as a 'present' leaving it to him to decided the youngsters fate. Knowing they were dead if they killed it, and knowing they were dead if they left it to starve, and no longer feeling any type of responsibility for the faithless female he was now begining to suspect had murdered his friend, Makani did the only thing he felt he could and went to parley with the lions. It did not go well. He had taken one side of the fur from the cubs tail as proof of life, a wound yes, but one that would not mortally harm the cub and left her with the female, hoping that the lions would come for the cub and take care of the actual perpetrator of the crime. When he returned to where he left them, the cub was there, hurt only by his own paw, the female escaping scot fee leaving Makani alone to suffer the lioness wrath. More the fool he for thinking to trust the faithless *&^%. Showing no mercy the female lioness ripped open his back leg from hip to ankle, leaving it so he could barely walk and if it became infected, or other predators got wind of it, he would die. Should luck be with him, and it healed, he will never be able to extend it again, and he'll have to hold it up against his body, effectively making him three legged. There is no doubt in his mind that she murdered his best friend and perhaps a hyena who could have become more. He is resentful for what happened to him and has turned bitter. He will need more then just the healing of his leg if he is to regain his tractable personality again.
