The elderly man smiled. He stood up from the table, then walked over to the upper-left corner of his hut. Drake didn't understand why the old man was doing, till the man bent down to the floor and lifted up a trap door, revealing a compartment. The man reached into the hole, then pulled out a very large looking sword, which the blade was wrapped in black bandages. The old man carried the blade over to Drake, then held it out to him. Drake stood, then with no hesitation, took the sword from the old man. The blade seemed to be quite larger than normal swords, and the handle looked like scales, colored yellow, and a small skull at the end of the hilt. The sword was quite impressive, so Drake unwrapped some of the bandages. What he saw, Drake realized which blade he was holding. The elderly man spoke up then, at that moment. "That is Samahada. The 'Greatsword' and 'Shredding Blade'. It was one of the most feared swords during the time of the Seven, and also the strangest. It is a living weapon, which feeds off chakra. It stores it over time, and allows the wielder to tap unknown resources at times of need. Now, remember what I told you, and good luck". With that, the elderly man went back to sitting at the table. Drake looked at the blade for a few more moments, then he rewrapped the bandages, and then used a small leather strap to sling Samahada across his back. The Drake turned toward the door and walked out.

Musica slowly rose from his crouch just as Kira flipped himself onto his feet. The boy's grin widened as his pupils dilated momentarily. I don't think I've had a fight quite like this before. Musica thought, a gust of heat blowing outward from his body which scattered any sand that was still floating around. The cloud dispersed at the same moment Kira kicked off of the rocks. I didn't have time to get this worked up last time. Musica managed to turn perpendicular to his opponent just as Kira flew by him. Musica's eyes widened as Kira immediately shot back, the red headed shinobi noticing the chain surrounding him. Well played. Musica smirked and leaned back just before the chain wrapped around his neck.

Musica didn't move enough, however, and he winced as the metal chain constricted against his forearm. The boy grabbed part of the chain with his hand and applied enough force to either keep Kira still, or make the kid drop the weapon entirely. "Kira Moto." Musica called, smiling as the chain trembled. "I have to say, that this fight has been a lot of fun." The boy tightened his grip by forcing chakra into his muscles, the act causing small jets of flame to appear and disappear repeatedly all along his arm. Steam rose from Musica's body while the bursts of flame appeared on his arm. "I look forward to fighting you again in the future." With that Musica yelled and yanked on the chain as harder than he had ever pulled anything before, the length of his entire arm suddenly bursting to red and yellow flame. The pull was enough to jerk Kira back towards Musica by way of flight. The red head lowered himself just enough, watching as Kira rotated so his torso was rocketing parallel to the shore. Musica closed his eyes and braced himself at the very last second, air hissing in through his teeth as he prepared for the oncoming blow. Suddenly Musica's entire world was nothing but bright lights and explosions, the "CRACK" of both his and Kira's heads colliding. Musica wobbled and let go of the chain, the flames on his his arm dying out. "Pretty birdies~ Go fly away~. . . ." He muttered before sighing and collapsing onto the sand.

The burning in soul’s back was pulsing through his veins. It seemed as if the pain was sending a signal to him somehow, a reminder, a feeling of vague resemblance to another moment. It isn’t wise to zone out mid battle, but sometimes the mind just does as it pleases without your consent. Time is something incomprehensible; it passes in a miniscule moment, than prolongs itself to last a lifetime. Within the blink of an eye a story was born within. Like a projector everything was seen clearly. Everything was put into a lifelike spectrum of understanding. This feeling, this pain, this... memory. It had been suppressed behind a barrier of pain. Behind a blindside of mistrust and abuse. The truth would be revealed.

Lies are a distortion of truth, a twist of what’s right to create an illusion to what you want the subject to receive. In an instant ignorance, blind naïve trust, and gullibility can be utilized to create the strongest of illusions. The illusion relies on how trustworthy, how well you sell, and how realistic your lie can be. The best place to hide a lie is behind truth. When an illusion is discovered it is harder to trick the subject into believing your next illusion. Though in this instance, the illusion was placed from a child’s birth. From the core of trust, from the very beings he believed to be his parents, siblings, and family. This will all be cleared in a little bit; the fog of illusion will be swept away. Let’s go back and see what it is that Soul himself saw in behind those closed eyes, if just for an instant. Truth was revealed.

’What is this? Some type of genjutsu? I don’t remember anything in particular, hand signs, traps, I didn’t even look into his eyes.. what is with this place?’ before Soul, was a world flipped and distorted. What resembled a wasteland held a dark velvet sky, dry brown grass with patches of dirt and dust showing where the earth was balding and grass once stood. The buildings were a shamble of their old resilience. They roof had holes and tiles missing thrown and shattered on the ground below. The windows were shattered; glass was astray in the dirt, jutting out in every direction. The cloth doors were billowing in the wind and produced the only sound that could be heard besides the black crows as they called out to the world that seemed to have no ears. ’I don’t understand where is this? Why is there no one in this village?’ Soul began to walk through the deserted streets. He held his guard and was prepared for the worst. If this was some trap it would prove dangerous. He was out of his element. He didn’t know his surroundings and was unaware of anything that occurred prior to his arrival. Using all of his tracking instincts he tried to uncover tracks to any survivors, traps, or anyone that would be sticking around. Nothing could be seen.

Still wondering blindly Soul began to feel as if he were being lead somewhere by some kind of invisible force. He continued through the streets before turning down a back alley, across a bridge over a storm well, and through the village to the center. There to the right of the main building stood a house. It was larger than the rest, but by no means was it in better condition. In fact it was almost worse. The west wall was completely blown out, the roof was nearly nonexistent, and the North wall looked to be burned to the ground. The only thing left standing in perfect condition was the door.

’What is with this door.. Why is it completely untouched?’ Soul walked slowly, cautiously towards the door. With every step an echo was created. Within every echo held a new sound. As if carried on the wind these echoes unleashed pain into Soul’s heart. Screaming of a child, the hysterical howls of a mother as she desperately tries to reach the sound of her baby as it lays alone. The sounds of a battle as it wages forth, and the sound of death were growing strong and stronger as he approached the door until.. silence. As Soul touched the door knob silence was the most disturbing sound out of them all. Slowly and steadily Soul twisted the knob and threw the door open. Even with his force no sound was emitted. What lay before Soul’s eyes shocked him above all else. From the outside looking through the ashes that once was a wall the inside looked just as desolate, just as devastated; however, through this door was a perfectly construction room. Stairs lead up to a second floor, chandeliers hung from the ceiling and a magnificent lighting was glowing the room to an off orange shade.

’This.. This room. I get a sensation… Is it fear, no it is calmer than that… Acceptance. I feel safe.. why?’

Soult then stepped within the room and before his eyes were a family. They walked together, a woman, man, and child; hand in hand they made their way through the house to the living quarters. Soul ducked back out the door and before his eyes was the destruction of the building, just as before. He walked back through the door and noticed that the people weren’t paying any attention to him.. as if he weren’t even there. He tailed them to the living room and watched from the hall. The man, presumably the father, ruffled the boys hair and laughed. He was holding something. A pendant, it was a silver necklace with what looked to be lightning around the chain. Soul reached up to his neck and pulled out the exact same chain with eyes open wide. ’This.. this is me.. my home.. but these aren’t my parents. My parents barely acknowledged my existence. As if… as if I didn’t belong.’ Truth poured into Souls heart as he realized this was his true home. That the screams were his family, his village, his truth. And the scars on his back were from the burns. The house that was lit aflame…

In just a millisecond as he blinked Soul had realized the truth. Uncovered his past and understood his place in the world. Where he felt he hadn’t belonged was truly not his home, but in that place. He had a loving family, a father, mother who cherished him. Soul hardened his eyes and realized he had a new family now. This was to be his family. This squad, Sai, and possibly the newcomer Musica. It was time to see just how trustworthy this new member would be and just what he was made of.

Soul felt the tug of the chain wrapping around Musica. He had a grin on his face as he began to sign the jutsu that would finish the battle. Before he had a chance to complete it he felt another tug which disrupted his concentration. Soul's head rose and eyes widened as he realized what was about to happen. He attempted to brace himself but it was too late. The flames produced from Musica's arms were mesmerizing. He didn't have the resolve to speak when he heard Musica's words. Soul Simply nodded his head before he felt himself flying across the beach. Sand was flying below and became one solid brown color. He prepared himself for the impact, but nothing would have prepared him for the splitting headache that would come. Soul watched as the brown below meshed into a flash of black and red before he fell to the ground numb. He was passed out with a smile on his face, because this battle was the most exhilarating one he'd had in a while.

After a few hours of dreamless sleep, Musica slowly sat up with his head in his hand. "Never. Doing that. Again." He groaned, the pounding in his head matching the crashing of the waves. Slowly, Musica stood and looked around. Saikoro was nowhere to be seen and Kira was still out like a light. I feel like I'm forgetting some- "s**t! Zhu Rong!" Musica yelled, clutched his head in panic. "I gotta get to the temple, now!" Quickly, the boy ran across the beach and hopped up the rocks and back into the village. Musica immediately ran up the side of the nearest building, using small holes where bricks used to be, window sills, and light poles to quickly propel himself up to the roof tops of Mist Village. The ninja ran quickly, using chakra in his feet to jump and flip fro building to building efficiently, curiosity boosting his urgency. Luckily, the Temple wasn't too far from where he started, so Musica managed to make it there fairly quickly.

The Temple of Zhu Rong had long been a place to pray to the god of fire from one religion out of many. So, standing before the entry way now, Musica felt that it was kind of ironic that it had been burned down in a riot a few years back. The remains of the Temple were nothing more than a few stone pillars (one for each corner and each one broken in various ways), a few boards from the foundation that were charred to perfection, the Main Entry, and the altar that carried the image of Zhu Rong on it: a man wearing rich looking, battle armour, wielding a katana above his head as he rode a tiger. All in all, it wasn't what Musica had hoped to see after he had been asked to come here. Nonetheless, the boy took a step through the archway and what he saw made him stop in his tracks from sheer shock.

The roasted main hall instantly transformed into a glittering throne room right before Musica's eyes. On either side him stood a long line of soldiers all of which were standing at attention. Each soldier was holding a wooden spear in their right hand and just as many of them were clad in gold and scarlet armour, their faces covered by the visor of their helmet. Musica walked forward down the aisle of warrior, a soft red carpet softening his steps. As he walked, the shinobi looked around the Hall, noticing that the walls and supporting pillars were made of glittering marble with hints of ruby. Musica stopped walking the moment he reached a large throne, decorated with gold and various gems, each one worth more than Musica's house. In the throne sat the man from the altar: Zhu Rong, clad in his crimson armour, his face steel. On one side of the throne rested a sheathed sword, and on the other was a tiger, laying on it's stomach and eying Musica intently, it's tail wagging. Musica started to kneel down at the base of the throne, but was stopped by the god of fire. "Do not bow to me," Zhu Rong said, his voice filled to the brim with authority. "I am not your better." The man smiled as Musica stood. "In fact it is the opposite, child. Now that we have met, my power is now at your command." Musica opened his mouth, but the Lord simply raised a hand, a motion that instantly made the boy's mouth close. "We do not have a lot of time to converse here. You are expected in your world. We shall converse in due time." Musica blinked and the Temple was the way it always was: ruined and charred. Questions upon questions floated in Musica's mind, along with echoing words: May my flame shine in your darkest hour. It wasn't until a minute or two that Musica noticed that someone was calling his name.

Through what felt like closed ears Kira could hear a muffled voice. Whether it was a dream, or reality still wasn't certain at the moment, though it was leaning towards the spectrum of reality as the splitting headache from the contact earlier was setting in. It was sharp and quick. Coming in spurts as if constantly being stabbed with a knife. His skull felt as if it were cracking slowly like an ice flow breaking off from the main body. His eyes felt as though there were weights weighting down on them to force them shut. It took a considerable amount of concentration to open them and even more resolve to keep them open against the bright lights that were piercing through the clouds above. Kira slowly sat up and held his hand to his head, slowly rubbing it in circles. Before he knew it he was hit in the head by a rock, looking down the way to see where it had come from he saw Musica jettting across the beach with haste. 'Where the hell is he going?'

Kira got to his feet and followed after, keeping a distance as to be unseen. He wasn't stalking Musica, but was curious on where he was going in such a hurry. 'b*****d probably didn't even see if I was ok.'

Before long Musica lead them both to some kind of broken down ruin. Kira stayed his distance and watched as Musica examined the ruins with what seemed to be disappointment. Before long he watched him walk into the door way under the arch and then just stop. There was something odd about the way he stood there. Time went by and still no movement. Seconds turned to minutes, and minutes turned to hour. Kira finally lost patience and walked to Musica's side.

"Musica.. What the hell are you doing?!" Nothing could be seen in his eyes. He was staring blankly as if in a trans. Kira looked into the ruin in the direction Musica was facing and saw nothing but a pile of rubble. He began to shake Musica.. "Hey! What the hell man!?".. MUSICA!"

While trying frantically to slap Musica out of his trance commotion was occuring else where. A blazing fire had been set to the grain feilds and was threatening to whipe out all of this season's crops. Without Kira even noticing a shinobi landed beside him. "Kira, Musica, We need every shinobi's assistance, report to the grain fields and help put out the fire!"

Kira looked to Musica, still in a trance, then back to the shinobi and nodded.

Musica blinked and shook his head before noticing that the Temple was back to it's ruined state. "Just what the hell is going on. . . ." he muttered, kicking a small rock lightly. Musica's eyes followed the pebble, watching as it made contact with the stone carving of Zhu Rong. He walked over and leaned down, examining the altar's surface. The stone was pitch black from soot and cracked from constant exposure to the elements. In the future, Musica would never be able to explain why he did what he was about to do, aside from "I felt like it." The young shinobi grabbed the bottom of the small statue and wiggled it, the movement kicking up dust and soot. The small cracks in the base of the figurine grew as he loosened it. Musica propped on foot on the altar and pulled the statue with both hands. The was a loud crack as the statue came off, the sudden freedom jerking Musica's above his head. Instead of bringing his arms down, he looked up to examine the statue.

If he didn't, Musica never would have noticed the smoke. Musica stood, wide eyed, looking at the billowing cloud, the location passing through his mind instantly. The boy pocketed the statue and ran out of the Temple and up the nearest wall. The first thing that hit him was the rush of sound as he entered the village. The bark of orders, the crying of children, the footsteps of other running citizens; each voice having one thing in common: fear. It was that same fear that made Musica rush, applying chakra into the soles of his feet. Except this time it wasn't constant chakra as he ran. This time it was a concentrated amount of Fire imbued energy, applied only as he jumped and only for a quick moment. In doing this, small jets of flame burst from the bottom of Musica's boots, granting him greater speed and farther jumps. In a matter of minutes the roar and crackling of flames joined all of the other sounds. Musica stopped running on a building that over looked the crops fields, analyzing the situation, taking careful note that he could feel the heat from this far away.

As Kira made his way to through the village he could see only one thing; fear, it was on every face as he passed them. He felt a surge of addrenaline pour through his system as he pushed onward. He applied his lightning based chakra to his muscles pumping them into action. He focused them to his feet to give him even more speed. Time was of the essense and the faster he made it to the fire the more grain and lives he could save. A

As he ran he kept running into the occasional frantic citizen, slowing him down and getting in the way. He looked up but could only see smoke rising above the tops of the buildings. 'That's it! The buildings!' Kira lept from the streets and made his way to the roof tops. Now moving quicker and with no interruptions he was within site of the fields in no time. He took a quick pause to asses the situation. Looking left to right all that was seen was mayhem. Until he saw a familiar face looking to the fire as well. Kira lept to his side in one bound and landed beside him in a squatting position with his hands firmly on the edge of the building. "Glad to see you snapped out of that trans.. we can talk about that later, what the hell do we do now?!" Kira looked all over for a solution, but could see nothing. The only things he could think to do was to get as much water as he could to start putting out the fire. Noticing a small well to the south of the grain feild Kira motioned for Musica to follow. "We can use these buckets to put out the flame come on!"

"Really? I would never have figured it out."Musica smirked and threw himself off of the roof and into the crowd below. Immediately he followed a string of people towards the nearest group of wells. The various cries of pain, plus the stinging effect of the smoke on his eyes, made Musica's adrenaline kick up, making him fidget as he waited in line for water. "C'mon, c'mon." He muttered, tapping his foot anxiously on the ground. The three minutes he stood in line felt like three years, until he was finally handed a bucket. Musica ran, holding the water carefully so it wouldn't spill. Because Musica wasn't paying too much attention to his surroundings, he never noticed the giant of a man until it was too late. Unfortunately, the man was paying just as much attention as he was running, his swinging arms hitting the bucket straight up out of Musica's hands, his shoulder knocking Musica to the side. Musica turned and glared at the man, paying no mind as the bucket soared straight up. "Watch it, a*****e!" Musica growled, shaking his fist at the man. CLANG! The bucket landed upside down on Musica's head, making him fall down on his rear end. The bucket slid off, leaving Musica sitting there, wide eyed, his head drenched with water.

Kira turned just in time to see the bucket land directly on Musica's head. If it were any other circumstance Kira would have laughed and chastised his new companion on his recent failure, but this was more serious than that. Lives and future crops were at stake. The village counted on this grain for food, and money. Watching Musica hustle through carelessly as he attempted to get to the fire as fast as possible taught Kira that he needed to pay more attention to his surroundings or else it would all be for naught. He waited for the bucket to come down the line. Being the last one was a pain because the time it took for it to reach the front to back could seem like a lifetime. 'Come on... come on...' Sweat was running down his face, his hands, and his back as he was being roasted by the flames. If only he had some kind of jutsu that could put this out.. 'Of coarse I would be one of the only Shinobi in Water Country that didn't know a single water jutsu..'

Finally the bucket reached him, he turned quickly, the bucket swished and the water inside threatened to jump ship. Fixing his balance and keep up his momentum he kept the water under control. Running for the fire he avoided the people running frantically by. Finally reaching the fire Kira threw his bucket to the side and unleashed the water upon the blazing fire. It hissed and smoldered as the fire was put out. This section was safe, but there were more yet to be rescued before celebrations could be made.

On his way back to the line he heard screams. A girl had fallen and severely injured her leg. She was trying hard to stand, but couldn't seem to get her footing. A shinobi was a little ways back performing hand signs about to unleash a jutsu on the flames that were engulfing the crop. What he didn't know was that in direct line with his jutsu was this young girl. Before the jutsu reached the flames the atmosphere changed and the water evaporated in what seemed like mid-air as Kira kept up his hand signs created a barrier of electrical current around the girl. Of coarse this would slow the process of putting out that section, but the girl was now safe. Kira ran in and grabbed the girl. The shinobi landed in front of him cutting him off, "WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PR-" Kira looked at the girl and the shinobi seemed to understand. Kira simply nodded and handed the girl to him before running off to find another line to join.

Musica smiled, watching as the flames got put out bit by bit. They were doing it. A feeling elation washed over him as he dumped water from two buckets over a fire, the heat around him dying down as others did the same. Screaming was replaced by cheering, the fear in voices diminishing. Musica was about to run back to the nearest well when his instincts screamed at him. Instantly he jumped, small jets of flame bursting from his feet for a second, just as a large dragon made entirely of water rushed through where Musica just stood. The boy rotated in the air just in time to see a second dragon rushing right at him, it's giant mouth gaping wide. Musica crossed his arms across his chest and rushed chakra through his entire body. "Molten" he muttered, giving the dragon a fierce glare, as if it would accomplish anything. As the dragon got closer, the rushing of water gave the illusion that it was roaring "SKIN!" Musica's body was quickly enveloped in an orange flash, his body instantly covered head to toe in molten lava.

The dragon disappeared into hissing steam as it made contact with the lava clad shinobi. A thick white cloud hid any visible sign of Musica, until gravity forced him down through the bottom of the steam. What had once been a layer of lava, however, was now a thin sheet of molten rock, giving Musica the appearance of a steaming black and red statue as he fell. Parts of the rock chipped away as Musica's body twitched slightly. Then Musica thrust his arms and legs out suddenly, his suit of rock shattering in every direction. The boy landed in a crouch, small parts of rock still chipping from his steaming shoulders, as two other ninja ran over to him, the users of the dragons, he assumed. One of them started to say apologize, but Musica cut him. "No harm, no foul. Besides," He gestured to the field of crops, the fire significantly diminished because of the first dragon.

Kira turned just in time to escape the wave as the aquatic dragon came crashing down upon the land and washed away the fire in his section. His feet completely soaked, anger was instantly calmed by happiness that there were only 2 more spots left and the fire would be out. Cheers could be heard from all around the grain feilds as citizens watched the shinobi put out the fires. Most of the young children were smiling as the different jutsu were being implemented. Water dragons, water lances, Water balls, Bubbles, all soarts of jutsu were being used to put out the fire, and here was Kira just sitting here using an ordinary wooden bucket. There wasn't much time to feel like an idiot because just as the other fires were being put out, the last two looked to be more fierce. Kira grabbed two buckets this time and ran to the side of a shinobi that was attempted to use wind jutsu's to blow the flame out. To his misunderstanding all he was doing was feeding the fire oxygen and causing it to burn hotter. "Hey! Wind Jutsu won't work here! Grab a bucket and help!" The shinobi looked at him with anger in his eyes, "Look kid mind your own I have this under control!" Just then he released his hand signs and blew a gust of wind to the flames. He held a smirk the entire time as it looked as though the giant candle that was the grain field would be blown out, but to his dismay the flame doubled back and grew double its size. Kira threw him a bucket and an evil glare. Now there would be more work to do. Kira threw his bucket to the fire then returned with another. He and the water shinobi teamed up and repeated this multiple times until finally the flame was out. When the Shinobi turned to thank Kira, he had already been off to the next well to help the next fire.

Musica looked around at the various Water jutsu being used, and then looked down at the buckets in his hands. The thought never struck him before, but, as he watched the white steam replace black smoke, he took note in the irony that he only knew Fire techniques. But complaining about it now wouldn't help. Right now, Musica had to hurry and help put out the last bit of fire the best he could. Musica turned the buckets upside down as his hand glowed molten orange. Then he slammed it on the ground in between his buckets. Sand and dirt exploded upward, like in his fight with Kira. Instead of a cloud, like last time, the sand went up in two geysers, holding the buckets up.. Musica grabbed the (now full) buckets from the top just as the geysers died down, and dumped the sand on the nearest fire.

76-178=-102= -10%
-10%+50%=40%
