Stars stops repotting and heard the chatter of new students. She removes her gloves and approaches them.

"Hello Ammy and Olli, sorry I was rather slow at responding, I was immersed in taking care of these plants, if I had let them outgrow their pots, phew, it'd be a mess to clean up. So, you made your way to this greenhouse ok. Thank you for the report on gillyweed, but it's not really necessary to catch up on the old assignments, unless you wish to. I'm trying to get the class to move on really..."

Stars trails off as she spots Lena's raised hand. "Of course, you could do them if you have spare time, depends on your work load, but right now the greenhouse is full of these screechsnap and umbrella flowers, not sure what to do with them. So, you can't do that activity, or the mandrake root repotting because then we'd all need to prepare for that."

After speaking, the professor goes to Lena and says "Lena, it's ok, I've repotted it already, it's floating around in the 2nd greenhouse as we speak."

"Chevalresque, as previously said, we don't have much information in J.K Rowling's publications, so you can interpret the appearance as you wish (make it up in other words.) There also seems to be nothing like it in the muggle world. If you feel you haven't properly depicted it, you may re-do it, but I thought it was good."

((I just wanted to make sure Olli, since I obviously want her to be believable. I guess I figure it balances out because she's absolutely clueless about the wizarding world.))

Amelia, though a Ravenclaw, laughed and agreed with Olli. "I couldn't imagine really learning about plants from a book. I'm going to wait too." Like gillyweed, she'd done the short paragraph on it, but she had no idea what it truly looked like. A bunch of rat tails? It just sounded gross. The only way she'd truly be able to recognize it would be if she could sense it: both its energy and just the feel of it.

Amelia nodded her face matching Olli's, "I don't want to imagine how accurate they are--like that one that's supposed to be a baby instead of a root? I'd drop it." It wasn't a lack of respect for the plants you see, it was a lack of trust in her own abilities not to panic. That near miss with Sparrow had left her wary of trusting her instincts without thinking.

Ammy squeezed her eyes shut as if hiding from the thought. "EW! And we have to touch it?" She wasn't about to touch something that was anything close to a slug. She didn't panic at many creatures. Sure, spiders freaked her out, but she also tried to put them outside while avoiding them. When she saw a slug, she screamed for her brother to squish it and then carry her back into the house so she wouldn't step on any on mistake. Trying to get the twitch out of her head, she glanced over at the umbrella plants and screechsnaps. "At least those are pretty, but I'd be careful touching the screechsnaps. I bet they're used for alarms or something, because they don't seem to want to be disturbed." She was forgetting Professor Kalle's advice and thinking everyone could see the emotions as she could. She didn't realize to the plain eye all they looked like her curled up possibly sleeping plants.

Though she blushed, Amelia wouldn't have minded more teasing. God knew her brother, though he was willing to carry her to 'safety,' had done so mercilessly. In her defense she replied, "Have you seen them move? They're not natural. I bet they're an alien species or something." She trembled at the thought, remembering how the creature could twist and stretch its body. She didn't know how else to explain it, but she knew perfectly well she'd freak out if she was to see one here.

Amelia nodded with an air of authority. She knew she was right; they were the scariest things alive. She couldn't stand them at two inches, she didn't want to imagine them any bigger. What she wasn't sure of was if wizards had extraterrestrial contact or not. But she figured that could be asked another day. For now, she felt sure of herself. She didn't want to break the sensation.

((As a quiet little comment, I'm pretty sure that Olli's a fifth year she just transferred to Hogwarts...but yeah, Amelia definitely is a clueless first year.))
