"Hi!" Miyuki echoed returning the greeting.

The food smelled really yummy to her, so she began to eat happily. It tasted really, really good.

"It's good to see you again," Lin smiled at them.

"Hello," Tinuviel smiled back at Lin. "It's good to see you, too, Lin. It's been a while."

"How have you been?" Aranel asked as he held a chair out for Tinuviel to sit down. "I haven't seen you since you returned from that trip of yours. This must be your daughter ..."

"Miyuki," Earendil supplied for him.

That was true, when she thought about it, she didn't stay long enough to see Aranel after her first return here, and she went home from the Borderland portal.

"I've been very well thank you," Lin smiled.

Miyuki looked up from her food and blinked and waved. Just waved because she was always told it wasn't polite to talk with food in her mouth. Though she did give a very enthusiastic hi after she swallowed her food.

"That's good, that's good," Aranel smiled, sitting down as well. "Things here have been the same as ever. Work never stops."

"You say that as if you actually have a lot of work to do," Regan teased her father. "All you do is help train some of the Home Guard with Uncle Eldrin."

Lin giggled at that, so that was who was doing training as well, since she imagined that Earendil did less of it now.

"As long as it keeps you busy," Lin chuckled.

"Psst...."

Miyuki looked under the table to see Senka, she smiled a foxy smile as she reached to her plate to get something to feed Sen-sen.

Earendil glanced down at Miyuki when he heard the strange sound, and he saw her peer under the table and grin before reaching for her plate. He chuckled softly and reached over to put one hand on Miyuki's arm gently.

"If she wants to eat with us," he murmured, leaning down to speak directly into Miyuki's ear, "she needs to be on the table, not under it. We don't pass food under the table here."

"Oh...."

Miyuki didn't often see the problem of passing Senka food but if Ada said it wasn't alright then it probably wasn't alright.

"Sen-sen up!"

Lin looked over to where she knew Senka's plate would be, "Stop trying to get extra food. Miyuki, please eat your lunch."

Miyuki and any child around Miyuki's age was an easy target for Senka, and Lin knew this.

"You are going to be a pillow if you keep that up," she murmured to her cat as Senka slunk out from under the table and pouted.

Miyuki blinked and shoved the food instead into her mouth. She thought Sen-sen was still hungry but it seemed her Mummi didn't think so.

Earendil chuckled softly, but he didn't bother explaining to Miyuki. Lesson learned - for now.

He looked up as his uncles came into the room, one after the other, looking very agitated.

"Something the matter?" Luthien called out to the two of them, who looked a bit guilty.

Shea hesitated, but Mikhail cleared his throat and held up Earendil's travel bag. "Um ... Earendil ... I ... really can't explain it, but ... your stuff has disappeared. I mean, we put it in your bag, but your bag is still empty ..."

Lin almost cracked up, the main word being almost because this wasn't the first time anything like this had happened. She had heard stories where Ulani and Ulrich filled a bag with enough food to feed a small army because no one had mentioned the bag was runed to be like that.

"It's not empty, it's there... somewhere," Lin explained, "Earendil's bag is runed to hold a lot of stuff. It's how my family has gotten away with traveling with only one bag."

Earendil chuckled softly, trying not to get too much amusement out of his uncles' confusion.

"Lin's right, it's all in there," he smiled, holding out his hand. "I don't know how it works or why but there doesn't seem to be a limit to what it can hold."

Mikhail brought the bag over to him, and Earendil peered inside to check on his belongings.

Lin didn't understand neither, though she had tried the physics behind magical properties was beyond her. That and her mother had once mention that Gaians seemed to have a gift towards creating "hammerspace" whatever that meant.

"One could almost live out of one of those bags," Lin murmured watching Earendil, "They're useful though, I think the only other person to own a bag is your Uncle Gion."

Though she didn't know if the bag ended up in Lothrien's hands or where it was now.

"Gion has a bag like this?" Mikhail asked, surprised. "Since when?"

No one else seemed to know either. None of them had heard of it.

"He asked Mom to rune one of his I believe. This was a long time ago before I was born," Lin replied, "Triton told me."

That was the only reason why she knew about Gion's bag at all.

"I don't know any other details behind it."

"Well, he did travel quite a bit before settling down with Nadya," Shea shrugged, taking a seat. "I still find it amusing that he still is always called Hadoren."

"Child Warrior," Earendil confided to Lin, since she probably hadn't heard of it. "You know how short he is."

When Lin thought about it, it made sense. Elves were ageless and bloody tall for the most part. A short elf was probably around six feet, and for Gion who was slightly shorter than her, it was no wonder why people would still call him the Child Warrior.

"I can see that, and how the name stuck after all these years...."

Especially if most people didn't know Gion as a person and she knew how some legends could become larger than life.
