 "StarClan was wrong. I am not afraid. It is wrong for those to judge." [Leopardpaw padded up to them, her tail and head held high in pride. She touched her tail-tip to Fathom's shoulder. She put wieght on her injured paw.] "I am ready for training. My paw is better!" [Leopardpaw's voice squealed with excitement. Secretly, she thought Fathom and Lavenderrain spent too much time together for her comfort. She threw a nervous glance at the nursery and jealousy clouded her eyes. She looked into Fathom's brilliant red eyes, and saw no fear.] "I want to start with fighting. I didn't know what I was doing with...Nightstreak." [Her head dropped, her tail sagged. She let her eyes gaze at her paws.]

 Lavenderrain
"Richkit, I think that's enough talking for today, back in the nursery." she mewed gently.
"Thank you for that." she mewed to Fathom.
[She saw the pain in Leopardpaw's eyes as she conversed with Fathom.]
"Ahh Leopardpaw? May I have a word?" she meowed.
[When they were safely out of camp Lavenderrain sat her down to have a serious talk.
Leopardpaw's eyes showed distress.]
"Leopardpaw! Clam down." she mewed soothingly.
I never meant.. to make you feel.. bad. It's just that I see.. so much of the same .. things in Fathom.. that I did in my own mate.. Hawkears." she mewed stopping her rhythmic licks.
"I guess I'm just remembering him. I feel sad seeing my kits not knowing what a wonderful cat he was." she mewed tears starting to well up in her eyes.
"I'm so so sorry. I never meant to hurt you." she said sobbing.

 [Fathom watched the two she-cats leave, feeling confused.
He looked back towards the nursery.
I wonder why Richkit suddenly shouted that..? he wondered to himself. Perhaps there is a spirit with him...
Fathom sighed and paced around camp. He felt awkward- he didn't know when to check on his two friends, but it was obvious Leapordpaw wanted to train...
He hoped that Lavenderrain and Leapordpaw hadn't fought. Perhaps Lavenderrain had said something about Nightstreak? But it didn't seem like the gentle queen to hurt Leaprdpaw. Fathom didn't understand.
He let out another frustrated sigh, and plopped himself down by a large rock, staring unhappily at the ground.]

Richkit
[Richkit gazed peeked out of the entrance to the nursery.]
"Fathom!" he called out.
[Fathom turned his head, was it just him or did Fathom looked relieved for some reason?]
"You know my mother doesn't love you. Your girlfriend shouldn't be jealous." he said hoping to steer the conversation away from his sudden outburst.

"No, no! It was mouse-brained of me to even let the thought get into my head. I am so sorry..." [Leopardpaw licked the queen in comfort. She regretted all her feelings.] "My pride got in the way. I hate admitting my weaknesses."

"Oh Leopardpaw." she mewed tiredly.
"When will you figure out he loves you more than you'll ever know?" she meowed, her purple eyes piercing into the very depths of her emotion.
"And you love him too..." she said, not bothering to ask what she already knew.

"Indeed." [She did not bother dancing around it. Her silver eyes grew deep, and she let her tail drop. She and Lavenderrain headed back to camp.]

[Moonflower bounded through the trees.] "Help! Help!" [she yowled at the top of her lungs.]

[Moonflower ran even faster and slowed down. She had never run to save a life before. No, she told herself. I have to keep going. She summoned up all of her strength and her eyes turned green. She ran faster than she had ever run before until she reached the camp.]

[Fathom blinked, and was about to answer Richkit when he heard Moonflower's plea.]
Rushing up to her, he said, "What's the matter, Moonflower?"
[His crimson eyes glinted with worry, and his pelt rippled with anxiety.]

Moonflower panted and fell to the ground. The cat on her back stirred. She looked up at Fathom with wide eyes. "I found this cat unconcsious on the border!" she exclaimed.

[Fathom let out a sigh. His tail twitched in a frustrated way, but he nodded.]
"Very well. Let us take it to the medicine cat's den."
[He leaned over and gently grabbed the cat by its scruff. He lifted the cat up, his neck muscles rippling, and gently dragged the cat towards the den effortlessly..
He flicked his tail for Moonflower to follow him. She needed her rest as well.]

"Fathom! Moonflower!" [Leopardpaw dashed toward the medicine cat's den. She skidded to a halt, looking at the cat. She thought it was dead, until she saw the faint rise and fall of it's flank.] "Wh-what happened?"
