Only a fire could destroy it" Dimitri said. He took the brass pandent and held it in his hands, very carefully then tucked it away very carefully in a pocket.

"well they wouldn't want to summon a demon anyways right?" She asked, "A demon is incontrolable, so why would they summon something that would destroy them as well...... right?" She said hoping he would give her some good news this time."

Dimitri shook his head. "There are certain wards, not something a average mage could do, but someone with a large quanit of magical know how could put up that would keep a demon out, a Strong mage is required to summon a demon anyway, so the mage could stop the demon from attacking it, it may not stop the demon from attacking, but it would stop the attacks" Dimitri said.

Celcia overheard their conversation about demon summoning and all that. She was interested in the conversation but was not sure if she should interrupt. "You guys are just looking for the book right?" Celcia asked, wondering if that was the case or if they really wanted ot summon a demon, if they did, then she was their sorceress.

"Why did you chronicle such dangerous information?" She asked noticing Celcia "Oh, yeah we are just looking for the book.."

"Found it... I think." He said grabbing a book from the bushes. But as he pulled it up, he noticed it was considerably lighter than it looked. "uh..." He stammered opening the book. "Most of the pages are ripped out...." He said walking over to Dimitri. "Do you think they came out with the water... or do you think they were ripped out on purpose?" He asked handing it to Dimitri.

"Helps keeping with my sanity" Dimitri told Rikku. He took the book from killian and flipped through it.The book was considerable large with a heavy leather cover with the marks for the liquid protection ward on the front and back. He stopped at a series of ripped pages and looked in the bottom corner where a small rune like mark was, he checked all the pages that had been ripped out. He closed his book and put it into his coat and put a hand over his face and clenched his other into a fist, trying to hold back the rage. "...I'm going to freaking murder them..." He said under his breath.

"Almost everything I didn't want them too" He said. "The only thing they forgot was the page with the list of things for a specefic demon, which is a good thing in a way, since they won't be able to summon anything too bad, as well as only be able to do one at a time...unless they have several mages summoning at once, with increases the chances of failure, which in turn means death" Dimitri said.

I mean, we don't even know if that is what they took them for, they might've taken them just so that we don't have them, or just because they looked powerful, and didn't want us to use them." She said looking up at the sky. "Well in either scenario, sitting around here isn't going to get us anything, we still have a place to get to, c'mon, we've got to make it to the dry rocks by nightfall." She stated

"Hey Hreidmar, look at what we picked of those stupid kids." He said tossing the ripped pages over to his superior who flashed a wicked, shark like smile before walking away mysteriously.

The elf looked off in the distance to see a group of people standing about, that seemed out of place. Pulling the hood over his face, he made sure his hidden blades worked, and started to walk towards the group. As he neared them, he realised that they where soaked, it didn't rain, and there was no water around them. "Wonder whats with them..." He wondered as he stopped about 100 feet away from them, and watched them for a moment. They seemed to have lost something important to one of them.
"Looks like you all just crawled out of a river..." He greeted them with a smile as he tossed a throwing knife into the air and caught it.

Dimitri nodded "Your right, Let's get going". He was really upset over this development. He looked at his demon arm, hidden now from sight under his coat and glove. Non shall stand... Echoed in his head. For once your right...no demon that comes at us will be able to stand against us.

(Hi guys I'm back!!! I hope you all had an awesome holiday season!!! heart )
Noticing the newcomer and as usual being very suspicious of him (especially with the expert way he handled a throwing knife) she snapped out of the trance-like state she'd been in since the battle began.
"Something like that. Who are you?" Luna asked the newcomer. An elf by the looks of him... She sized him up, although she didn't think he would be a threat against all of them he was certainly a fighter.

"Who, me?" He looked around himself, then turned to look at Luna. "I am just a simple elf, who just so happened to come across one such as you." Flipping the knife a few more times, he quickly tucked it away in a hidden pocket in the robes. A smile showed on his face as he stopped a few feet away from her in a non-threatening posture. "You may call me Jaden, and your name might be?"

Luna took note of his concealed weapons.
"You may call me Luna." Luna said in a nonchalant voice, but without relaxing her stance or taking her eyes off the elf in front of her. Luna noticed that the others had started to move on and hoped that they would notice that she wasn't among them.
(I'm just making sure... Are we actually in the same place? I'm headed to the dry rocks with Rikku and everyone... I'm pretty sure Luna's voice can't carry across the whole continent lol ^_^;)

Rikku looked over at the new comer and Luna and walked over to them. "Hello, Nice to meet you Jaden, I'm Rikku, I am sorry for doing this to you, but if you want to continue talking you will have to walk with us.." She said feeling kind of bad. "I don't mean to be rude, but we really planned on making it to the dry rocks by nightfall, you are more than welcome to come with us if you like." She stated kindly.

Ken just sighed. 'she needs to be more careful... we cant just be picking up hitchikers wherever we go.' He thought to himself as they continued their walk to the drylands
