((Yays! 300th post!))
Darktail's eyes widened as he heard Shadowstar's choice of deputy. Me? I'm only just a warrior, who just saw his first battle! I'm too inexperienced! He thought. "I'll do my best to serve this Clan well." He mewed, then touching his nose to Daypaw.
Waterpaw's eyes widened as she touched her nose to Shadowstar's. "I hope everything will be okay..." She murmured.

Daypaw sat with Darktail, her new mentor, and despite all that was happening, she smiled. It was kind of funny, just a bit.
"You'll make a great deputy." Daypaw meowed to him. No matter how short the time may be. She added silently.

Darktail grinned as he heard Daypaw's comment. "True, but I doubt I'll be here for very long." He mewed, echoing her thoughts.

Darktail touched his nose to Daypaw's shouolder. "I guess we can enjoy the time we have left here, but don't forget that we'll have forever when we die and go to StarClan." He mewed. Then he looked up to see Shadowfrost giving the ceremonies, and it hit him. "Wait, what happened to Stormstar, and why's Shadowfrost in Stormstar's den?" He mewed, confused.
Waterpaw stiffled her laughter as she heard Darktail ask about Shadowstar. She looked to Daypaw and hoped that she had a good answer for him.

Darktail's eyes widened as he heard Daypaw's comment. "So...Stormstar's dead, and Shadowfrost is the new leader?" He mewed, confused.

Shadowstar let out an inward moan as he heard Darktail's comment. "That's Shadowstar, thank you very much, Darktail." He mewed.

Cinderkit padded into the clearing in time to hear the announcement of the new deputy, and the new mentors. She doubted she would ever become a warrior now. She probably would never even become an apprentice. This clan probably didn't even remember she existed! She missed Lakeclan.
(I think Cinderkit should become an apprentice now. There's not much for her to do as a kit anymore.)
Phantom crept slowly through the forest. He glanced around cautiously, and looked behind him to see if Cooper was still there. It was a bad idea to stay in the forest, he realized that now. He should have just stayed in his backyard while his owner was in the hospital. "Cooper, how you doing back there?"
(Can mud warriors be attacked, or do they just kill anything that touches them?)

((Well, you can attack mud warriors, but they don't have nervous system, so it wouldn't do you much good. Plus, they're already dead.))

((Sorry, Cinder. Since we don't have any more mentors, we'll have cats doubling up.))
Shadowstar purred quietly to himself. He may have chosen Darktail as his new deputy, but he wasn't very bright...
Shadowstar scanned the camp, looking around. Cinderkit! He thought as he saw the young kit. He padded back up to the Highrock.
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the highrock!" He yowled. He waited for the cats to gather, and continued on. "Cinderkit has reached her sixth moon, and is ready to become an apprentice. You will be known as Cinderpaw. Since we are running out of warriors to take on apprentices, I will also be your mentor, and you will learn along with Waterpaw." He mewed, touching his nose to the new apprentice.

Darktail let out a loud purr as he realised his mistake. "Oh. Whoops." He mewed. "Oh, look, it's Cinderpaw's ceremony. Cinderpaw! Cinderpaw!" He let out a yowl of acceptance, wrapping his tail around Daypaw involuntarily.

(That's okay. Just as long as Cinderkit is now Cinderpaw.)
Cinderkit looked up as Shadowstar called her name. They were making her an apprentice? She padded a little confusedly to the leader as he said her new name. Though she wished she could have been in Lakeclan for this ceremony, she couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in becoming an apprentice. She was no longer Cinderkit, the useless little cat that no one noticed, but Cinderpaw, the cat on her way to becoming a great warrior. She puffed her chest out proudly as the cats of Twilightclan chanted her new name.

"Cinderpaw! Cinderpaw!" Daypaw chanted along with the rest of her clan. For a brief moment she intwined her tail with Darktail's before curling hers around her paw. She almost forgot that they were supposed to be a mentor and apprentice now.

Darktail let out a low purr of laughter as he noticed Daypaw. He shifted his head so that it was behind her ear and murmured something in a low voice. "Just because we're mentor and apprentice doesn't mean that we can't love each other." He mewed quietly.
