"Right." Sam scoffed. "They knew I was comin the other night and still didn't have nothin to throw at me. Some big guy that kept gettin his dumb a** thrown was the best they had." He rolled the window down, stickin his arm out. "Anyways, you ain't gonna convince not to be a hero."

It didn't take long for the scent of decay drifted to the boy's nose. Almost seconds after he put his hand on the chest, he was shocked to find a heavier mesh mushing under his fingers. Sea water was not sticky and, therefore, should not feel sticky. Without even looking, Jay came to the conclusion he had hoped he would not. This young man was dead.
Leaning back, Jay sighed, only to cough the gathering aroma of death he had pulled it. Cure my powers, he thought to himself glancing over the body. Sucks to be this guy. A dark smirk perked his lip. The street urchin had little remorse for the lost soul who seemed to have lived his life well. At least until he died.
Jay gave the body another looking over and noticed an envelope in the pocket. Curiosity caught him, as it often did, and he took the wet envelope. Jay looked between the envelope and the body and promptly decided this man neither needed to know what was inside it or would need it. Standing, he took in a sweet breath of salt air and blew the body back into the shallows. The body would return to the beach but not before he made his way back to his hammock.
As he walked, he examined the envelope. It was open, but he could not tell it was already open or if the water had worn away the seal. It did not matter at this point. He opened it to reveal the contents and began to read.
((This has to be the greatest way to introduce someone to a story. I'm loving this.))

He rolled the window down, stickin his arm out. "Anyways, you ain't gonna convince not to be a hero." "That's because they don't know how to handle you...yet. You're not invincible Sam. Back at the house when I kissed you, I could have kept going, in time I could have had you walking yourself off a cliff without a damn thing you could have done to stop it." Kat shook her head, "I wouldn't. Of course, I wouldn't. But there are people with powers that work in a similar way, and the Keepers have access to them. It's not all about explosions and super strength. That's the grunt work. You haven't run into the big guns quite yet." Kat paused, staring off at the road, "Just don't be stupid, okay?"

((Everybody loves dead bodies. It's like parfait....only not. In fact, very much not.))
The paper inside the envelope was heavy-weight, good quality, though thoroughly soaked. A symbol was marked on the top corner, like a business logo, only a little more intricate than most. It was the form of a dragon wrapped around a flower hovering over it with a fiercely protective pose, while at the same time strangling the flower like a weed. A Chinese restaurant on one of the lower streets used the same symbol on their menu.
The message of the letter was brief: They plan to go through with it, whether the majority agrees or not. Too many things to cover up. St.Eva will be a burial ground come next spring. It seems war is the only way we know how to search for peace, and chaos our only path to order. The better news, rumors are spreading about a resistance group. The group won't last. In fact I think it's instigated by that angry girl who the Oak sheltered for a few weeks. If that's true, then it will likely fall soon. But despite that, it may lift the spirits of some, and remind the Keepers that they still need to tread lightly. The worse news, I think they know about me. A few blues were brought in, including a psychic. It's only a matter of time now.

Jay's eyes went over the print on the paper, the odd yet enticing symbol, and the print. Strange message, he thought to himself, as he looked out to sea again. The body had been lost to the depths. Shame. Jay was rethinking about his option of holding onto the letter. He could have easily tossed the letter to the sea and let the letter be lost, but his mind had been snared by these mysterious happenings.
Who are they? What needs to be covered up? What war? What resistance Group? Who the hell are the Keepers? What is a blue? What did this symbol stand for? And...
"Psychic?" Jay verbally whispered the word in his toneless speech. Over a year ago, he would have written the whole scenario off as mafia type dealings. The word psychic changed everything. Why would he or she be grouped with these blues?
The boy scratched furiously at his dreaded head. He knew he was about to get himself involved with something he probably be better off not knowing. This had something to do with his powers. He could feel it. The first key to figuring out what had happened to him and how he had gotten these powers started with this slightly familiar symbol.
I know this symbol. Oh you have got to be kidding me! I ate down the street from there three days ago.

Kat rolled her eyes, "Don't go acting righteous over that. Niether of you were in danger of getting your minds controlled, and now that you both know what I can do, it's not like I can take over your heads without a fight." Kat let out a short sigh, as they drove a fair distance from the beach (meaning we should move this to a different thread). She took her phone from her pocket, dialing a number while driving. "Tell me where this kid lives again? I'm going to call Jarred to meet up with us."

mqnania Adam's shoulders sank a little, along with his body sinking further into the couch, "OK..." Her teeth chewed on the end of a pen nervously, fidgeting a little before responding, "Well, I've gotta be happy I guess. Funny movies, having a grand 'ol time, you know, that kind of stuff. I'm super-duper useful." Olivia shrugged, "That's why it's too bad you don't know any good jokes." Rook paused, rocking his head slightly as he thought. "I don't know... Maybe put you through some kind of training so you're not always reliant on some outside thing to make your powers tick?"

Back at the hammock, Jay gathered all the things he knew he needed as well as all the things he would not leave, which was basically, his deodorant, his body spray, and his viola. His things in hand, he began his march for the Chinese Restaurant he knew had the same symbol on it's building that the envelope had.
Taking in a deep breath, he began his long trek. This sucks. If I could fly, I'd fly.... No. I probably wouldn't.

It was overdecorated with a theme of bright red and gold accents. The prices were low, but the food matched the prices. They had some good egg rolls, but that was about it. Inside the restaurant the patrons were limited. A young woman in a chinese-style outfit waited anxiously to sit anyone who walked in.

((Unsure of what thread to take it to for the suburbs))
"Ah hell, I can't remember the exact address. It's in the suburbs, somewhere off 30th and Wash. That should be close enough. Why, I'm not man 'nough for you?"

Why, I'm not man 'nough for you?" ((High end thread will work, not exactly the same place as the suburbs, but I'm sure they connect at some point and taking it there will clear up this thread some.)) "Ah," Kat nodded, "I'll tell him to meet us at Shepherd's books, then we'll search it out together." She glanced over at Sam after dialing the number, and chuckled. "I'm a difficult woman to please, Sam." continued here

Tyson pushed through the door and allowed the door to swing closed behind him. He tried to look around, but everything was basically visible from the door. The place was a real shabby joint, shabbiest of the shabby in Jay's opinion. In fact, the restaurant unattractive that is actually took his mind off the "mission" at hand.
It was a good thing he was mute. The first few phrases out of his mouth would have mostly likely been a stereotypical unimpressed "Damn," followed by a more than impressed "Damn," upon noticing the woman in her appropriate garb. He could not openly say wither.
The greeter smiled at him warmly and offered him a booth against the wall. Jay accepted the seat and was promptly asked if he wanted anything to drink while he waited to be served. He shook his head and signed the phrase, "I'm mute." He doubted that the girl would understand his hands signs and thus pointed to his mouth and breathed out. It was the universal sign of being mute.

Shortly after the events at Tidus' place, or sometime during, whatever, Jeffery returned to the house. Since I don't want to detail the events at the school, because it would be monotonous and I want to leave it vague over whether he had to beat someone down or not, he got the list unhindered.
He knocked on the door, waiting impatiently.
