 Well, last year I saw a thread here on gaia saying they would celebrate "wear the lilac day" on May 25 in honour of Terry Pratchett who is (if I remember correctly) diagnosed with Alzheimer's. In the book the lilac holds a high symbolical value (but I won't spill the beans for those who haven't read that yet). Here's the thread from last yearI had to use google to find it, since gaiasearch is kaputt ^^; It is celebrated outside gaia too!
