((Man, Strider's like a constant donor, huh? Or, a shades salesman! That's how he gets so much.))
Jake took the extra pair and looked at them for a moment before putting them on. He glanced up, glad to see that they dulled the magical aura so that it didn't blind him. It was still a little bright, but when he thought that, the shades lowered the sharpness. "Well, you're not half dog. I have better sight."

"No but I am made of magic in a sense." -Strider looked around- "come on lets find a town an an inn." -Strider started off in one direction-

((Lol, donor. Like a person who donates alot. Got that from Charlie the Unicorn 3. =3))
Jake took a long look at his surroundings before noticing Strider had gotten ahead of him. "H-Hey, wait for me!" He ran up behind him and padded along and a slightly slower pace.

"Oh and one thing. Please try not to use magic without my permission. Here magic is common and some people don't like it and may get agitated if they see you use it." -Strider began walking up a hill-

"I don't think that'll be too much of a problem. I don't really know any yet..." Jake noted with some obviousness. He sniffed the air when a breeze came down the hill, a little surprised at the cleanliness. It was nothing like Earth's air, where pollution was starting to become a problem and hung in the air. He could smell woodsmoke and food, a nice change from car exhaust.

"Smell something you like?" -Strider laughed- "Yeah you can actually small here unlike Earth. Never did get used to all the sounds and smells of that place. Seemed a little pointless to me but than again i'm an alien there." -Strider laughed again. hen when they got on top of a hill there was a small city down below them in a valley- "Ahhh. there we go a nice little town. I do believe it's called Dublien." -Strider began his descent of the hill-

"Dublien," Jake repeated to himself. "That's a nice name for a town." He leaned back as he followed Strider down the hill, so that he wouldn't go toppling forward. "Yeah, this place is alomst like the exact opposite of Earth. I never understood how people were so lazy to need to use something to get around with. 'Cept for horses, but I've never seen a horse up close before..." He thought for a moment. "I bet they smell good..."

"Yeah I know. Horses are used alot here. Though personally i think tey're smelly creatures they still have their uses." -Strider had reached the bottom of the hill and was about to the gate in when he was stopped but a gaurd asking who he was. After a few moments of speaking the gaurd allowed them entrance- "Ahhh. Nice town. Not the best but it'll do."

Jake lagged behind a little, taking in everything. But with a sideways glance from the guard that Strider had talked to, he quickened his pace. "Will do for what?" He asked. "Is this place your home?" His ears perked up, taking in sounds from all around.

"No it is not my home. It'll do for the place where your training shall begin." -Strider walked up to a building with an inn sign hanging from a pole and entered-

Jake glanced up at the swinging sign, squinting when he tried to read the faded letters. He gave up soon though and went into the building. Loud sounds automatically came to his ears, happy and angry. It wasn't really rowdy, but there were one or two fights going on near the back.

-Strider looked back at Jake. He probably couldn't read the letters on the sign- "Sorry about that I forgot to tell you that our alphabet is much different than yours. The most common writing is elvish. Which you probably don't understand. That shall soon be remedied." -Strider turned back and ordered two rooms-

"Oh, okay..." Jake answered, apying more attention to everything else than to Strider. He wondered if elves were the same as the ones in fairytales. Were they small and cheerful like Santa's? Or were they tall and willowy? He thought about that deeply, accidentally bumping into someone. "Yeep, uh, sorry..." He replied sheepishly to the large man who had growled at him.

"Careful Jake. It isn't like on Earth. Most of these people aren't very educated and will be aggresive. ow come the rooms will be there when we get back. Right now i'll show a little trick that shall come in handy." -Strider walked outside-

Jake avoided the gaze of the man from before, ears drooping submissively, and followed Strider. So far, his impression of this world wasn't ruined. It was a nice place, so clean looking and friendly, too. Even though some people were gruff looking, he was sure that they were really nice, on the inside.
