Leilani smiled to him as she continued to sip at the drink. It was different but she really liked it. When the dishes came, her mouth watered. It seemed as if she had forgotten she was inside. "Thank you," she said to the waiter before licking her lips.

Tsukasu smiled happily, taking a bite of his hot chicken teriyaki. Feel free to start eating, he said with a soft blush, kicking his feet beneath the table in a slightly nervous manner.

Leilani smiled to him then began to eat her sushi one at a time. She ate slowly, savering each one to make sure she tasted everything inside. Though she had had sushi at other places, this one seemed to be the best. "Mmm...this is wonderful. How is your dinner?"

Have to say it's almost as good as my moms, Tsukasu blushed, laughing softly, savoring his meal slowly as well. It was very good indeed, and he was tempted to write a thank you note, as his mother taught him and his siblings to do.

Leilani smiled a little, wishing she could say the same. Prepared meals like this wasn't very common with merpeople. "So you're mother's a good cook? I wish I could be a good cook then I could make people smile and be happy."

My mom loves cooking, I guess it's the motherly thing to do when you've got over fifty children, Tsukasu said with a laugh. Maybe you could meet her, and she could teach you? he offered, biting on his lip as he realized how that sounded. Did she get it?

Leilani blinked at him, staring for a short moment. Fifty children? "That's a lot of mouths to feed. I've never heard of someone having so many." She nibbled on another piece of sushi while trying to imagine herself with that many...but she couldn't even imagine one since she didn't think she'd ever be with someone in that way. "Teach me? Really? You think she would?"

Tsukasu sighed in relief that she didn't think he was stupid, then smiled before taking a bite of his rice. Yes, I'm sure she would teach you. She loves to be helpful... She didn't have to feed all the mouths on her own, a lot of them never came around, they took care of themselves one way or another, he said with a shrug before taking a drink of his soda. He kept his eyes on her, tilting his head slightly. She would probably be a good mother, with how gentle she seemed.

Leilani smiled happily. She would love to learn how to cook. It might keep her from sulking back to the water when no one was around. "I wonder what it's like to be a mother. I've seen so many different kinds." Her mind wandered a bit but it was on what other mothers and childern were like rather than imagining herself as one.

Tsukasu smiled happily as well, his feet kicking beneath the table they sat at. Maybe you'll find out one day, he said with a nod before taking the last few bites of his food in his box. Would he be a good father? He thought about it.

After chewing up another piece of sushi, Leilani shrugged a little. "I don't think I will...but maybe I'll get to play with other people's children. Though, I dunno if anyone would be having any." She was out of the loop on everything so she didn't even know who was friends, couples, or whatever.

Tsukasu tilted his head, thinking as he took another drink of soda. Why is that? Though, I'm sure you'd make a good aunt, or cousin, or simply friend, he said with a small smile. But then again, you're a good friend to me.

Leilani shrugged her shoulders again. "I can barely make friends much less find something more." She smiled a little, also taking another sip of her soda. "Plus, who would want to, uh, roll around with a mermaid?"

Tsukasu choked slightly on his drink, blushing deeply before looking to the table. Roll around... with a mermaid? he repeated, clearing his throat. Well, I happen to think you're very beautiful, he said, biting his lip. And we can be friends for a long, long time, he said nodding.

Leilani rubbed the back of her neck and blushed slightly. Rolling around was a rather lose term but she had never experenced a real kiss much less anything beyond that. "Really? You would be my friend for that long? And I'm not that pretty. There are other girls around here that are wonderful and so beautiful."
