"What did you just do?" Zen said, even though he had a bad idea of what it probably was that just happened.....
He was feeling a strange... link with the woman in his arms. He couldn't sense her energy signature so well until he picked her up then. Still, he kind of hoped what he thought happened, didn't happen....

"I--I didn't mean to?" she said, slightly panicked. Oh...he was really unhappy.
Maybe, maybe she could undo it? She closed her eyes and focused on their mental energies. In her minds eye she could Zen's red-gold and her pale blue. And they were completely, hopelessly tangled--growing more so by the second.
Damn! Damnit! she thought, not knowing what to do.
"I don't even know how it happened," she whispered, looking up at Zen. "I'm sorry!
She squeezed her eyes shut and promptly started quietly freaking out.

Zen tried to cut the bond, but he couldn't. It took him a few tries to realize that it wasn't going to cut, no matter how he tried to close his mind. He could sense anxiety in her and discomfort from the attack earlier.
It felt quite like the bonds made by another immortal, one whom he liked far less than Angela. He didn't know why this one wouldn't cut on cue.
Unless he didn't really want it to go away?
"Well that's a stupid idea... "Zen thought, trying to figure out what to do.
An annoyance in this case yes, but nothing to be angry over. And the girl didn't need to be stressed over another issue.
"I know, you didn't do it on purpose," Zen said mentally over the link, knowing it to be true. "I can't get rid of it either.

"I see," Toshi replied, closing his eyes with a slight sigh. There wasn't much he could offer to do or even say at the moment. Everyone else already seemed tended to, and he wasn't exactly sure what was going on. All he did know was that some of the people here were injured somehow. He rubbed the bridge of his nose in silent frustration. The only thing he could do now was sit here and listen to everything going on around him. Which, only told him something bad happened with Angela and Zen.
Inutai glanced around from where he was and spotted Cheeva on the floor in a bloody heap. "Cheeva!" he cried, going to run up to her. However, he was stopped short by the chains he was wearing, which effectively pulled him back and to the ground, ending up on his rear. Ears laid flat, Inutai rubbed his neck to try to make the pain go away.

Basti sighed with relief when the man agreed to take him to the healers. As he started to follow the leader into town, Basti replied, "We're going to need more than students. Cheeva's left side is badly burned; so badly that she no longer has that arm." Basti paused, then added, "You should probably also know that she is also rather weak because her body tried to heal itself with magic, which was more than her body could take; she's only still alive because a member of the group...sealed? I think that was the word they used. He sealed off her magic." Now it seemed to only be a question of time as far as finding a healer for Cheeva. Basti only hoped that it wouldn't be more time than she had. No matter how...frankly, creepy she was, she didn't deserve to die because he took too long getting a healer to her.

Tugging on his chains, Inutai stood up, trying to get Toshi to follow after him. After a moment or two, Toshi complied easily. After all, there was nothing else to do at the moment. Finally, Inutai was able to rush over to Cheeva, sitting next to her worriedly.
"What happened? Is she going to die?" he asked Des worriedly. His worry for Cheeva temporarily overrode his fear of Des for the time being, which was probably a good thing.
Toshi walked up behind Inutai, though chose to stand. "How badly is she injured?" He couldn't see for himself, and it wasn't like Inutai to rush over to someone and ask such a question. Usually he was more sensitive than that.
Inutai glanced up at Toshi then back over at Cheeva with a cringe. "H-her arm a-and her face, and and and--" Inutai broke off at this point and buried himself into Toshi's legs.
Frowning, Toshi patted him on the head in an attempt to comfort him. Something definitely wasn't right. "You there," he said to Des. "Tell me. There was mention of a healer a bit earlier, and I believe Bastion has left to fetch one here. Would it not be wise for us to meet up with them halfway? If her injuries are as bad as I think they are, then I would be glad to do the honors of carrying her to meet up with this healer myself."

"I see, I see. We'll send two of our seasoned healers. They should be able to restore her fully. How did she receive these injuries?"
He seemed to be from an interesting group of people--clearly mages if they had magic and were capable of sealing magic. And this boy was...the elder looked him over again. Feathery white hair, sharp features, wings. They were very clearly from far away.

Enrion stood and dusted himself off, wincing slightly. His body ached--probably the remnants of magic leaving his system. He cautiously walked around the fire and looked at Cheeva, swallowing hard.
Had he really done that? Her injuries seemed quite extensive. Perhaps a little over the top...
He glanced around and realized that one of the group was missing. "Where is the other one?" he asked. The one with wings.
And then his eyes fell on Gyp, who was huddling by a tree alone. Perhaps this was the other person he'd apparently injured. He approached cautiously. "Are you alright?" he asked.

"Her injuries are extensive," Des explained to Toshi since Inu's response had been fairly incoherent. "Her left arm has been burned away and she has serious burns along that side of her body, including half of her face. "But I don't think she's going to die." He gave Inu an encouraging smile. "She's pretty strong for a little cat."
He stood and looked toward the sky, which was growing lighter by the minute. "Yes, I agree with you. Meeting the healers half way was my intention to begin with but I'll carry her. It'll be easier for me since I'm otherwise unfettered and it would be best for me to stay near so I can keep an eye on the seal I've placed on her magic."

Angela panicked even more when she heard Zen's voice inside her head. The last time she'd accidentally bonded with someone, the bond had been far less strong but Zen's abilities seemed to compound the problem and now he was in her head.
She squeezed her eyes shut, trying to block him out. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, she was saying. She didn't even know who it was she was talking to anymore--Zen or herself.
Despite the fact that touching him was actually making the bond stronger, she clung to him anyway, trying to seek out whatever it was that kept him so calm in this situation so she could leech off of it a bit and calm herself down.

"Are you alright?"
Gyp shuddered slightly, as the chain around his neck rattled threateningly. He couldn't "see" the way he normally did, but he kept seeing flashes of his surroundings the normal way, and it was extremely disorienting. His eye was flickering from gold to silver over and over as he continued breathing shallowly.
"I... can't honestly say yes to that, but I should be fine...hopefully.... Do you know where the Fluffs are? Or Nimue or Sin? "he asked the messenger weakly. He was starting to worry, as he couldn't feel the damn connection again... and his weird vision... he frowned.

"She, ah..." Basti wasn't quite sure how to answer this one. "She...aggravated...some..." He really wanted to say 'pompous dickheads,' but that might just put him on the wrong side of their Brainless Twelve, so Basti instead settled on "powerful people. They seemed to think that it was appropriate punishment for asking for payment for her services..."

When Des said Cheeva wasn't going to do, Inutai cheered up slightly. He nodded, then glanced up at Toshi. He sure was being talkative today.
Toshi frowned slightly as he described her injuries, though shook his head at his last remark. "Even as such, I am perfectly capable of carrying someone. Moreover, I doubt she would appreciate you, of all people, to assist her. I believe you have done enough to this young lady."

Zen looked around, trying to calm down the confusing woman who he feared was in the process of a breakdown. Even the fluffs were going nuts now, what next?
He was getting pretty frustrated now, and decided to use the mental link o his advantage.
"CALM DOWN WOMAN!"
Zen said outloud, shouting and flailing. But he was on a pier now, across from a beach and a large building out in the open water. Birds, clouds, wind and sun were in the sky.
He wasn't carrying her anymore there, just sitting awkwardly on the pier with his shoes off. He splashed some water at Angela, to get even for her panic confusing earlier. Man Zen had a headache, but the beach in his memories was helping.
"I brought you here," He sighed, knowing back in reality the situation wasn't much better yet...
Whatever worked though, he was frustrated enough without a second mind to feel frustrated too.
