What did porcupines eat? Think, think...was it ants? Some kind of bugs? Saberlin could hear the faint hiss of the sand through the hourglass as the last seconds slipped away. He began scribbling little blobs with many wiry looking legs coming out of them all around the porcupine's mouth. Hopefully that would enable Fern to guess. So far all she had made was a thoughtful hum.

The last grains of sand slid past the barrier and Saberlin saw that he'd won this round. Unable to supress a smile which held a hint of triumph, he picked up the dice again neatly between two fingers and rolled the next turn.

Able to move his piece forward twice in a row so far, he was off to a good start. "You'll want to try harder than that next time! I'll try and draw better too... somehow" he told Fern, sounding playful as well as rather amused at them both: Fern because all she had guessed was "Hmm" the whole time, and himself because his porcupine looked more like a roadkill with flies - Charming.

Saberlin took another spoonful of ice cream, which was slowly disappearing because he didn't like the strange phenomonen called 'brain freeze' and rolled the dice again, picking it up and flicking almost casually. It skittered to a top just at the edge of the table, displaying a face with two small dots. He moved his playing square two spaces onwards and picked up a card. "Oh..." Saberlin tried to hide his disappointment. The piece had landed on 'difficult' setting.

He flipped the small hourglass and began to draw, lightly nipping the edge of his tongue with one fang as a thoughtful habit he sometimes did. "Skitch scritch, skitch" went the pencil over the paper and several things that looked like miniature fried eggs began to appear. They had small dots in the centre, slightly to one side, and little hairy tentacle bits around some of them. A few looked like kidney beans and some appeared to have tails. Whatever the clue was, Saberlin was trying his best!

((The word he got is 'germ' by the way. So you don't get too confused with Fern trying to guess it))

He shook his head both times, making his light hair swish in front of his eyes. Wait..she wasn't guessing it. Maybe he should try a different approach. He sighed and stopped drawing for a few seconds, tapping the pencil on the table, waving his tail while he thought up a new way to draw the word. She had been so close with 'amoeba'.

"Um..." Saberlin quickly began drawing a stick man, bent over a bit. He then drew a stick arm holding a scribble that was supposed to represent a tissue and tried to make it look like the person was sneezing by drawing little lines and dots around it. It wasn't a masterpiece, but it would do. "Hissssssssssss" The sand in the timer was draining dangerously low once more.

((Edit: sorry for picking such a strange word btw, I didn't know what to choose, so I looked in my Pictionary game and just picked a random word on difficult setting. XD))

Upon hearing that word, Saberlin threw down his pencil. So, she had said it with an 's' on the end. One letter really didn't make that much difference. He would let it go. "You got it! Well done...I was starting to feel as though I may as well be playing this by myself" he joked, picking up the dice and moving to hold it over Fern's hand. "Here...it's your turn. See if I can guess any better than you did" he sugessted, tail tip curling and uncurling slightly smugly in the background.

If you'd like to time skip a bit then please, go ahead. Maybe we can get them playing another board game or just fast forward to the next morning, or whenever. ^_^))

Saberlin was caught up in deep slumber. Soft morning sunlight peeked through the open window between the fluttering curtains, highlighting his ashy hair and skin in a gentle shine.

He didn't notice Fern beginning to awaken and shift around just yet; far too content sleeping on this expensive luxury bed and resting in the gentle sunbeam. Sunbeams always made him extra sleepy. The light breeze of the ocean drifted into the room, making several long spikes of hair tickle the side of his cheek.

Saberlin's ear began to flick, as though trying subconsciously to bat away whatever was tickling him and he made a small noise. "Nn..."

She nodded, her smile widening. "Mm-hmm. I feel like i could still nap some more though. I'm really tired today." She yawned, leaning her head against him and closing her eyes. "Maybe it's just the weather today, but I feel exhausted." She giggled a little. "But what about you? DId you sleep well?"
