Veroen silently sipped on the glass of blood, and watched the whole ordeal unfold before him. This situation did not really concern him, So he did not have much input. The only thing that interested him was this Demon, Shinigami.

His thoughts were interrupted when he saw Gabriel become somewhat of a puppet for the one known as Revan. Revan...? It had been a very long time since he had even heard the name. But he remembered.

Veroen stared at Gabriel, and listened to Revan speak through him, and Rogues replies.

He silently nodded at Rogue when he heard her voice in his head after she spoke of his almost successful attempt at killing both of the elders. Though now, he was glad that he hadn't been successful. Alexz and Rogue were helping him, and he was grateful for that. But he didn't know how long he could keep up with the Void....

He watched as Revan released Gabriel with one last sentence.

'Oh, and thank you. The blood somewhat helps.'
he whispered into Alexz's mind, almost forgetting to thank her.

In silence he continued to sip on the blood, still lying in Alexz's bed, practically bathing in her scent. Her scent was nice, and relaxing. An odd occurrence. He normally didn't care for the scents of other Vampires.

He looked up, realizing that he had started to doze off. Blinking a few times, he finished the blood, and silently sat there, still watching.

Rogue's emotional pain seemed to be radiating from her body. She frowned deeply as she sensed it and heard a growl rumble in Rogue's throat. It was terrible to see a friend in pain, especially when she couldn't be of assistance.

As Gabriel spoke, she shifted her attention to him. Her gaze narrowed slightly as she saw how little control he had over himself. What gave Revan the right to make Gabriel his pawn? Why couldn't he face Rogue himself? Not being able to physically enter New York City was no excuse for such manipulation.

"Tell me, Gabriel, do you enjoy being a puppet?" Alexz asked coolly, her tone more curious than hostile.

She found Gabriel's offer to be rather courageous; she certainly wouldn't offer herself to an infuriated vampire who could easily take advantage of the situation. Of course Rogue wouldn't take his life, but it was surprising he wasn't so cautious. Her train of thought was interrupted by Veroen whispering into her mind.

Turning to him with a smile, she replied, "You're welcome, I'm glad it helps," she observed him for a moment, "Would you like to rest? I can ask them to leave if you feel you need to."

Veroen turned his head slightly in Alexz's direction, and his crimson eyes moved as well, until they were locked onto Alexz. He looked at her for a moment, thinking on what she said.

"It's your call. I would like to be as little of a burden as possible."

Veroen didn't much enjoy having to ask anything of anyone, nor had he really ever had to. As a result, he was not good at asking for anything.

As Revan left him and as Gabriel spoke, she watched him with cool reserve, her eyes burning aflame, though she knew what Alexz could see of her.
Her eyes then fell upon his wrist as he rolled up his sleeve.
Slightly shocked at his offer, she felt something lurch within her gut. The void ate at her insides, but the Sanguinarian rage ached to be quenched, and Gabriel's blood would be as good as any.

Only Alexz knew how little control Rogue really had. She felt the weight of her fangs hang heavy in her mouth rather involuntarily like a newborn. That in itself made Rogue angry at...herself. She looked up into his eyes, the conscious part of her mind slowly being drowned out, but questioning his motive all the same.

What could she possibly be shown.
Rogue's own curiosity and the weight of her Sanguinarian pushed her to take a step forward.

If she got out of control, she hoped Alexz would do something...but that was a fleeting thought as she gently grabbed his wrist, lifted it to her mouth, and bit in deeply letting his black blood enter her system.

Gabriel sighed as she started to drink and closed his eyes. In his mind he visualized the night he and Revan had last spoken when he had been given his task to come to New York. As if drifting down upon the scene there was Gabriel kneeling in the cold dank of an old castle or cathedral, before him was the large silhouette of Revan setting in a stone throne with a large stain glassed window behind him alight with moonlight showing St. George killing the dragon. They were talking but their words we inaudible, that was not the point. Revan was vastly different than when he had been in New York. His skin was no longer pale and while he retained a muscular physique it had sense become leaner this fact present in his visible ribs....his skin was a mottled grey green decay color. His eyes ever glowing through the hair that fell around his face. As the scene drew nearer it was clear that it was indeed Revan but his face was cruel, the way his lips moved hinted at a sternness to his speech. He was different yet for all things considered the look on Gabriel's face was of happy obedience. Not like he was overjoyed to be able to do what he was asked but just as one is eager to please a parent and reap the benefits of succeeding.

Gabriel stood up and the scene started to fade and as it did one of the last images was Gabriel approaching Revan and kissing a ruby ring on his finger. Opening his own eyes Gabriel looked at the feeding Rogue and gently pulled his wrist as an indication.

"That is enough."

As the images faded and he moved his wrist as an indication, she bit down harder, tearing the skin more, the blood flow increasing, the Sanguinarian not satisfied.

She wondered at Revan...seeing him that way. Why was he changed so much in a few years time.
But the blood was too thick to let go so easily. She felt the vampire blood itching with power, and did not wish to stop. Her anger and confusion stirred and she did not release.

Veroen shifted his gaze towards Rogue as she bit into Gabriel's flesh. The void stirred within him, and he could feel the void within her eating at her. He silently watched, and hoped that she could keep herself under control. He was not, nor had he ever been a Sanguinarian Vampire, so he could not fully comprehend a Sanguinarian's thirst.

When Gabriel spoke, and slightly tried to withdraw, Veroen raised an eyebrow to see what Rogue would do. To his dismay, Rogue bit down harder, and refused to stop.

Sitting still, Veroen's face became stern.

"Rogue, control yourself!", Veroen protested from Alexz's bed. Veroen was in a weakened state and in pain, but that was because he was not relying on the Void for strength. He was afraid that if he did, it would only bring more pain and less control. He glanced at Alexz, knowing that if things got out of control that she would have to be the one to stop it. If worst came to worst, Veroen would step in, and use the Void, regardless of the fact that he didn't want to resort to that.

Alexz was about to reply to Veroen when Rogue took Gabriel's offer. Her muscles tensed as she prepared to jump out of her seat if Rogue were to lose control. She could see the vision that flashed before Rogue's mind. A light hiss slipped through her teeth as she felt the Sanguinarian took control.

"Rogue, enough," she said sternly, but she knew words would not help.

In an instant she was at Rogue's side. Placing her hand on her shoulder, she sent a psionic shock that would retract her facts and separate her from Gabriel but wouldn't cause her any harm.

"It is your health, if you think it'd be best if they left, then I will ask them to," she said to Veroen after murmuring an apology to Rogue.

Veroen became slightly more relaxed when he saw Alexz appear next to Rogue and do her thing.

Veroen thought for a moment. He wasn't the needy type, nor did he push his needs onto others. But he could feel the void getting restless inside of him from the commotion, and it was beginning to give him a headache. He hated feeling so helpless...

He sighed.

"Go ahead, I suppose...."
He looked down slightly, examining the designs on Alexz's sheets absentmindedly.

In this state, Gabriel was exposed, and she knew, he could pull her away from his wrist easily if he were at full strength. The Sanguinarian surveyed and knew well when the weakening in the blood donor began. She surveyed before she bit down that he was slightly weakened from Revan's brief yet forceful takeover.

He was losing blood too fast, and she was...well. She was appeasing an ancient hunger that would never end.

She heard Veroen's words, and let them separate from her like oil on water, biting deeper...wanting to feast on his pain. The Sanquinarian and the darkness in her gut egged her on, promising a cure for a hunger that in reality would most likely never be sated.

As Alexz placed a firm hand on her shoulder, she felt a jolt of...something...
Whatever it was, she felt her fangs painfully sink back into a hidden position, and at the jolt, she withdrew trying to take into account what had happened. As she stepped back fully releasing Gabriel, her fangs elongated trying to pin down where the threat was. She shrugged off Alexz's hand and stepped back growling, a dark blood dripping down her chin, eyes fully aglow, and instinct enveloping her.

Veroen's eyes narrowed as he watched Rogues reaction. He said nothing, but expected a negative outcome from this. He was weary of the lack of control that his species had. More importantly, he was weary of his own lack of control.

A reaction to Rogues movement caused a hiss to develop in his throat, though it did not escape. He did not take his eyes off her, reading her movements, trying to decide if he should prepare to get involved.

His headache began to worsen as these thoughts crossed his mind, He winced as it throbbed in his head, the Void aching to be let loose again....

He closed his eyes and exhaled, lifting his hand up to his forehead out of reaction to the worsening pain in his head. He opened one eye slightly, and kept it on Rogue.

A growl rumbled in her throat as Rogue reacted defensively. Her fangs elongated instinctively, though she had no intention of fighting her friend. Her pupils transformed into swirling pools of darkness. Meeting Alexz's gaze would pull Rogue into a hypnotic state that would prevent the tension from escalating.

"Rogue, look at me."
"Rogue, look at me," she spoke into her mind and out loud, her voice smooth and inviting.

She was counting on her hypnotic abilities; if Rogue didn't meet her gaze, she would have to physically subdue her, which she really didn't want to do.

She growled again at Alexz, but looked quickly to Veroen, in her instinctive state, feeling the void clouding within him. She had fought her Sanguinarian side most of her life, because control of this....state meant control of her...new life as a vampire so many years before. Her slight psychic manifestations were the only reason she had not been killed as a newborn...she had found control through very small/minimal psychic abilities.

The void felt like a clenched fist that was caught on her insides and she growled again, this time closing her eyes. She then heard Alexz's words echo through her mind and...possibly an audible voice..
She opened her eyes and gazed upon Alexz's...only...as her pupils narrowed into Alexz's, they seemed darker than normal....then she felt the trap of their kind. The words Alexz spoke pressed against her mind, and all she could see was the color of her iris, clouding her vision, but fading into blackness.

In a moment she was out cold, crumpled on the floor.

Gabriel licked the wound on his arm and rolled his sleeve down as she crumpled. Oddly enough he had no care about her safety again, nothing made him want to care for her himself anymore.

"On her behalf thank you."

Gabriel did not take lightly when someone became greedy with a gift he offered and when in the past they had it did not end well. With Revan giving up this control to make him protect her he had no intention of giving her special treatment but....now she had Revan in her too...that made him smile with the irony. Turning from them he picked his coat up and disappeared out the door and vacated the HQ.

Slightly wincing in response to Veroen's pain, but her focus shifted as Rogue crumpled to the floor before her. As Gabriel spoke, she remained silent. Why he felt the need to thank her on Rogue's behalf puzzled her. It's not as if he knew her well enough to speak on her behalf anyways, though it was very probably and Rogue would thank her. As he left, Alexz breathed a sigh of relief.

"Spineless puppet boy," she muttered under her breath as her door slammed shut behind him.

Slipping her hands beneath Rogue, she gently lifted her and shut her eyes. With a brief gust of wind, they disappeared from her room and reappeared within Rogue's room. Taking her over to her coffin, she gently placed her inside and arranged her so she would be comfortable. Taking a pencil and sheet of paper from within her room, she left a brief note for her to read upon wakening:

"Sorry about that, had to keep you from fighting.
You know where to find me.
- Alexz
"

After placing it beside her coffin, she disappeared once more and returned to her room. She wrinkled her nose as she noticed Gabriel's scent still lingered. The windows opened slightly in response, bringing in the crisp night air.

"How's your head?" she asked Veroen.
