In an uncharacteristic manner, Abel just narrowed his eyes and ignored Zelos, as he went over to sit be Alihi.
...Who the heck is Cloud?!
Alihi got his attention, as she spoke up. After he heard her, he laughed a little. "Well, I guess it depends when everybody is going to go open stuff. Unless... you want to cheat!" he said, teasingly.

Amelia laughed as Lyre wrapped her arms around her own. "Hey...! You look lots better!" she told her cheerfully. "That's great! I'm glad you made it." Amelia shifted her arm out of Lyre's grasp and gave her a real hug. "Feel back to normal, right?"

Alihi pouted, crossing her arms. "The curiosity is eating away at me slowly, Abel...! I can't wait any longer!"

Amelia thought of what exactly had happened. Leander's gone... Loki's on the prowl and after Ashera... Nils got a cursed flute... Siegell decided to come to the party and pulled his... yeah, not even thinking about that.
Amelia just smiled to Lyre. "Well, other than everyone being back together, I think the weather will return back to normal real soon, and we haven't had any troubles with monsters." She absently watched Lyre's tail move about.

Their last, semi-original song completed, the band began to pack up their instruments--the sun had gone down awhile ago, and after several hours of playing, they were mostly exhausted. They then tramped out of the library, leaving their instruments behind--earlier in the day, Rhys offered the group lodging for the night, unsure of how safe it was to be travelling about in the snow. He left with them to help them set up a good spot, hoping they didn't wind up in somebody else's room by mistake.

Tibarn stepped back around Amelia, a cookie in his mouth, and waved at Lyre as he passed on the way back to the chair. He bent back as a pair of fingers closed around one of his pointed ears and turned his legs to swing around to face Ayra, sliding his head under her arm so that it wrapped around his back, draped over one wing and caressing the other. Ayra's lips parted as she leaned forward and bit off the other half of the cookie, the rest of which Tibarn finished off. "Was wondering what was taking you, hon," the Hawk King teased, slipping out of her embrace and sliding his arm around her back. He offered her the drink in his hand, then flashed Lyre another smile. It might have been apologetic if it wasn't clearly mocking.

Amelia sighed and carefully sat down against the wall, arranging the skirt of her dress so it completely hid her legs. She smiled, looking around. Some people had already drifted out of the party, going to their quarters or downstairs, and the people left were still enjoying themselves, at least. S'winding down... but it went well.
She closed her eyes for a minute, listening as the band finished and trooped out of the room. She rested her hands in her lap, leaning her head against the wall. Things had gone well.
"Happy New Year," she murmured under her breath.

(I've been off seeing relatives, hence why I haven't shown up until now.
Also, six hours of sitting in a cramped seat have virtually killed my legs, so this is all I'm doing tonight.)
Rhys came back up, having settled in the band. Those who didn't have furniture to sleep on at least had blankets and were reasonably close to the fire.
I'm still amazed we even managed to procure a band. I thought it wouldn't be possible, in between all the snow and monsters, but apparently monster attacks have lessened--in fact, so I'm told, monsters haven't been seen for the past three days now. Maybe they've gone into hiding... there's no way to tell. It's kind of eerie if you remember they were here less than a week ago...
He yawned loudly as he entered the library, not caring to take part in festivities anymore. Heck, was anyone from the Host Club still around? He looked around, and his eyes lighted first on Amelia, who seemed as tired as he was.
"Haaaaaah... Happy New Year, hon," Rhys said to Amelia as he walked up, not sure if she'd hear him or not.
One more idea popped into his head--I DID need to use quite a few blankets to keep the band warm, after all--that seemed worth a shot.
"If you're awake, err... I needed more than a few blankets to keep the band warm tonight, and there aren't that many left... want to share one with me?"
...You pervert.
Hey, I wasn't planning anything PG-13 or beyond, here! Stop thinking like just because we had three meaningful conversations means I want to get laid! ...I need to stop arguing within my own mind...

Amelia opened one eye as Rhys spoke up, smiling. "Happy New Year," she told him with a wide smile. She slowly picked herself back up to a standing position, dusting off invisible specks from her skirt. He must've left when the band went to settle in for the night, she thought. She reached up and took off her headband and bow, holding them both idly in her hands.
The question made her face turn a little pink, but she smiled. "Yeah... I'd really like that." She reached over and kissed his cheek gently. "We'll need to rest up if we're to clean up everything and get the library back to normal tomorrow."

As most of the party guests had either gone somewhere else in Fefga's or gone to sleep, Aran was going to do the same "Happy New Year," he yawned, and continued "G'night all" And he returned to his quarters.

I'll see if they would like some help with the clean up. Chances are there will be lots to clean up here.

"True," Rhys said, a large, cartoony sweatdrop appearing on the back of his head as he looked around the room. "I hope we have more galdr to work with when we do that..."
Still, he was happy--there really wasn't anything that went wrong with this party, as far as he was concerned. Looking back, there were (as of recently) two reasons Rhys could think of that made this party worthwhile. Why, if Amelia were to ask, he would fight those foul desks with nothing but his own furious fists and feet! He was, after all, the Priest! He was the Night! HE! WAS!! RHYSMAN!!!
"Well, let's get out of here," Rhys said, smiling. "I'm sorry I can't carry you--I'm not that strong yet," he added, rubbing his hand over the back of his head sheepishly.
Monsters everywhere, and two dangerous adventures in less than two months... much to be dismal about. Yet, I guess even though death abounds, sooner or later, life returns. I certainly have much to be thankful for--both in my past world and this world. By the look of things, I think everyone else also has something to be cheerful about.
...There may be dark times, but no matter what happens, in the end, it's all just another day in Paradise.
...Crab Nicholson, breaking the fourth wall for a second to read Rhys' thoughts about "I am the Night", attempted to dump a bucket of black paint over Rhys' head, but Rhys and Amelia walked out of the library at that moment, and the opportunity, sadly, had passed.
(Heath inside joke, GO!)

[[Well, nothing that Rhys is aware of. XD The mistletoe incident would have be dragged out of Amelia's lips with blackmail before she told Rhys that she made out with Siggy...]]
Amelia laughed softly, peeling off her red gloves, then the white arm sleeves. Without the accessories, the party clothes seemed much less... fancy, but it didn't take away the charm of the scalloped, swirly white dress. Without the armor, really, she was a fairly small girl, but at least she looked her age. Amelia shifted all the things to the crook of one arm and brushed her hair out of her face. "It's all right. I think I can make it to the blanket on my own feet just fine." She smiled at Rhys and wrapped her freed arm around his waist, walking next to him. She yawned slightly as they exited the library, feeling quite ready to get some sleep, indeed.
