"No its fine" he says with shortened breath "You know what they say about eating right before you sleep" He cracks a smile and falls back. "I think I can handle a few nightmares or whatever that was. I feel.... well... I'm still breathing always a sign, I just don't know what of, so what now? Where do I go from here?"

"...Oh, wow, those are really for me?" she pokes the bag. "Y-You talked to my grandmother?" She only thought of the embarasing baby pictures her grandmother had stowed away in her ancient photo album. A little flustered now, and yet still so happy to him, she asks as playfully as she can, "She loves me, that's for sure. Those cookies smell good. But.. what does that say about you then, stranger? You're the one who brought them here." She eyes him, a blush giving her away, revealing that she wasn't as confident as she put off.

Mara smiled at her sister, "I"m going to close the door, if you need me I will be around the house. Rest well sis, I will see you in a few hours." She waved as she closed the door. She turned to Zack with a bright happy smiled. "So what should we do now Zack?"

Zack returned the smile. "I dunno... what do you want to do?" He asked her.
Lucius frowned. "I cannot say. That needs to be decided by you. Though we have plenty of time to discuss that. Its a little too late for you to leave, for you are still weak from your spill, and to have you die on the pavement because you went out into the sunlight wouldn't exactly help me or you out." Lucius stood up. "Fortunately, you kept down a surprising amount of the blood you drank, so that is a good sign for you." He smiled faintly. "For today, I must recommend that you stay here until nightfall, and I strongly recommend getting some actual sleep. However.... I do have some bad news for you." He said, his smile fading. "By technicality, you are bound to the one that created you, and you had better hope that it was a particularly weak vampire that turned you. If it is a strong vampire, perhaps like the one in the hooded cloak you described to me, someday, maybe not soon or maybe all too soon, he will call you, and will make you serve him. Elders are capable of inflicting more painful mental duress than you can imagine. The only solution way to be free of that bond, is drink the blood of that vampire, making you family." He said grimly. "If you have any questions, any at all, I will be happy to answer them." Lucius said on a brighter tone.

"Do you need to practice today, or have you? I would like to watch if I could." Mara said curious how it worked out. "Or is that something you must do at your home?" Mara figured they could hang out in her room, so they wouldn't disturb Cooro or Adelle.

"Well I haven't burned up yet but yes I would rather stay here for awhile and at least let my stomach settle." Vincent settles back down onto the couch. "That man or whatever he was that bit me, he died, and he was badly beaten when he came in, I don't think he lived and if he was an Elder.... well I'll leave that to you to guess what could have done that. I still don't know where his body went, he wasn't the first John Doe to go missing like that so I didn't ask." He shrugged wondering at what kind of a hospital he had worked at all thees years, and what kind of a Doctor he was to ignore thees things, those thoughts didn't consume him long as he faded to sleep.

Zack smiled. "Sure, It never hurts to practice." He said. "If you want to watch me I'll be glad. Lets go to your room. I don't think practicing in the hallways is the best idea." He said with a small chuckle.
Lucius gave a small smile. "Let me ask you this. Whenever those unidentified corpses were found... did you ever happen to find any medical blood missing, or any attempts at getting at some? Or.... had you ever seen any of the proprietor's or hospital bigwigs outside during the day?" He asked Vincent.

Mara nodded. "Alright then!" she skipped excitedly down the hall and held the door open for him. "What is it you will be demonstrating?" she asked excitedly. "Oh yes, before I forget, let me know when you get tired! I don't sleep, so I tend to forget these things."

"I'm going to be practicing mostly with mixing different elements and energies. But I won't use fire. I don't wanna damage anything." Zack said as he casually entered the room. "And I guess I'll find out when I'm tired soon enough." He said with a small chuckle. "Now that we're both here... we'll want to shut the door, and I'll cast a ward to soundproof the house. Sometimes when you fumble... it makes some loud noises."

Mara nodded. "Maybe just aroudn the room, that would probably be the best so that we don't disturb Adelle or Cooro." Mara closed the door to her room and lay down on the bed she had pushed against the wall. She lay on her belly, her legs up against the wall. She folded her arms before her and lay her chin on them. Smiling she watched him. "Tell me also if I am making you self conscious."

Zack shut his eyes and a slight glow appeared around him. He held his hand up and then the light dispersed around the room. For a brief moment, the room seemed to shimmer, and then it was gone. "Okay, the sound ward is up." He said. "Now... to begin." Zack sat cross legged on the floor and held two hands out in a clawed manner, a whitish nondescript power appeared in one hand, and in the other, a cold light blue that was clearly ice shined out. Deep in concentration, wisps of both energies began to arc out and intertwine with each other, making an intricate weave. After a while, Zack released the weaving powers, and a gently sprinkling of snow-like crystals spread across the room, seemingly frozen in the air. Zack released a sigh and took a deep breathe. "Ah... that wasn't too good." He said to himself aloud for Mara's benefit. "I could've held that for a little while longer."

"Not good?!" Mara asked amazed. "That was fantastic! What were you doing?" her chin still rested on her hands, but her eyes were wide with fascination.

Zack smiled. "I'm trying to mix two different types of energy together. This particular exercise is a means to hold it as long as possibly until the two merge completely." He explained. "When the merge is complete, the energy should hold stable when released, instead of scattering, like with what you see here." Zack held his hands out. "Okay! Lets try this again!" He said, dispelling the crystals before starting the process over again.

Mara fell silent as she watched him preform his magic. She held her breath, waiting for it to turn out right. "You can do it," she told him softly as she watched, hoping it would work this time around.

Zack controlled the weaving energies deftly. The spirit and ice energies finally melded into a silvery ball, an occasional wisp streaming out and dispersing to nothingness. After a few minutes, the excess energy faded away a crystal landed in Zack's palm. He stood up and help it out to Mara. "A gift for you." He said with a smile.
