“Yes, it’s inside. Look out!” Sakura would grab at Mara quickly before it seemed too late for Mara. Sakura might have been hurting but she had the energy to move when she needed to even if in pain. She would hug Mara close to her body as she took the brunt or what would have been the brunt of the attack but deflected it with her powers. “Mara stay close to Gouki and I please. There are many dangers here.” She’d look at Gouki then as the painful expression didn’t leave her after her powers seemed to subside as she stood up. She’d walk into the temple to lead the way to better prepare them should there be more traps laying in wait.

"What was that?" Mara asked looking up at Sakura with wide fearful eyes. "What happened, what did I do wrong?" She asked, tears growing in her eyes.

"Wait Sakura! Gouki yelled out to her as she started into the temple. Gouki held his sister protectively as he looked at Sakura.
"Let me go first. I am very agile so I can avoid taking a lot of damage from surprises. I can get your headdress and be out before to long." Gouki said hopeful she will not try to get it.

“Mara, it was a trap set by the people of this temple. They set it awhile back I suppose. I will stay here, but please be careful. I only sensed that trap because I know this temple so well. They must have set a bunch of them before abandoning it incase I ever returned to claim my headdress.” Sakura did her best to explain to both Gouki and Mara what she could before the pain got to her. She had to kneel close to the ground as she took in gasping breaths. It was getting harder to breathe.
Her body felt like liquid and it started even feeling like it was changing. Her powers and the darkness had to be merging somehow and her body was in the crossfire, she had no other explanation. She'd remain just within the temple where it was safe and no traps where she beckoned Mara to her. Her own body wouldn't move however as she leaned against the wall gasping for every breath.

Mara followed along with Sakura slowly, she watched her feet making sure she didn't step on anything that wasn't normal. She reached Sakura and reached her her hand, hoping to help sooth her. "Are there anymore traps, or can I go find your headdress?" Mara asked wanting to help her.

Gouki followed after Mara after Sakura. He could tell something was going wrong.
"Hey sis why don't you watch Sakura." Gouki said as he summoned his staff and used it to catapult himself into the rafters where he could swing over any typical traps.

Sakura looked at Mara and only smiled. “Stay right here. There are more traps inside.” Sakura needed every ounce of breath she could get. The pain was getting unbearable and too much. Her breathing was becoming ragged by now as she started closing her eyes. The pain in her face leaving her as she went silent now, it became clear that she was in trouble.

Mara paced around Sakura, unknowing of how to help her. She didn't want to ask anymore questions. Mara watched until Gouki disappeared, then she felt very alone and scared. She didn't know what to do to help, or if there was any way to help. "Please brother." She whispered.

Gouki effortlessly made his way off the wall and ceiling avoiding traps meant for average thieves. Soon the target game into view as his tail hung from the ceiling and reached for the headdress. He gently picked the headdress in anticipation of a final trap and sighed in relief as nothing happened.
"Thank goodness now I can return to Mara and Sakura." Gouki said as he placed teh headdress in his pouch and began his journey back to his sisters.

Sakura started to feel weird as she pushed Mara away from her. “Whatever you do, don’t touch the water around me…please listen to what I tell you…” Her words sounded garbled almost like water was in her lungs already before it looked like she was melting away. Before too long, her entire body turned exactly into that. Water as what was left were her kimono and a large puddle of water about the kimono. The water seemed to be alive showing that it was still Sakura to a degree but not Sakura as she could not return to human form without her headdress.

Mara gasped softly and jumped back. The water had scared her. "S-Sakura what's wrong with you?" she asked taking another step back closer to the center of the room. Tears filled her eyes again. "Gouki." she called for her brother. "Please hurry."

Gouki lost his grip when Mara screamed. Luckily his tail snapped up and grabbed what he was aiming for instinctively. He swung back and forth after recovering briefly and began to move faster. When he got tot the scene all he could find was a sobbing Mara and a large puddle of water soaking Sakura's Kimono.
Frustration filled him as he took the headdress from his pouch and placed it upon the puddle. "Rest in peace Sakura. I am sorry I was not fast enough to save you." Gouki said trying to be brave for Mara. In reality failing Sakura was eating him up inside. When he said they were a family he meant it.

The water that had composed of Sakura’s body began to bubble and reshape into a body the moment that the headdress touch the water. At first nothing happened of real consequence, until suddenly that something happened. Her body began to reshape within the kimono. Her eyes were closed however as it seemed no breath was within her body at first. The rest of her body had to form. Her feet were the first to reform while her hands reformed. Her eyes then opened, as it seemed she began to breathe finally. Her entire body had reformed because of her own power to fight back for her own life, but she was weakened from the whole ordeal. She could not talk however because of this great weakness.

Mara wrapped her arms around Gouki. She was breathing quickly, her face pale as a ghost. When Sakura began to breath again she screamed. "UNDEAD!"

"D-don't be silly Mara. There is no such thing as ghosts and undead." Gouki said as he held onto Mara. His eyes were transfixed on the forming figure of Sakura however in utter disbelief unable to move from the spot. "There has to be some other reason this is happening."
