"I don't want to listen to anything." He didn't want to do anything other than sit and stare out the window. Running into Jimi killed, what was for him, his good mood. He was just glad that the unicorn didn't make Carlos stay away from him.

Carlos' ears flopped to either side in disappointment for a moment; he sighed inwardly. Adrian was in a bad mood again. That could be, quite frankly, disastrous. But he was going to try to make it not end that way. It meant that, while he might have asked the rat if he wanted to take the car for a spin before, now it just was not a good idea. Maybe later? Likewise, it was obvious that all Adrian wanted to do was stare out the window and stew about it. That would probably lead to conflict later on, maybe even another argument, but the unicat really was not sure what to do about it. So... more driving.

Adrian looked over and Carlos and noticed that the unicat looked disappointed. "I didn't mean to upset you," he stated. "Do you want me to just go? I mean, you can just take me home if you don't want me around anymore." The rat didn't want his mood bringing down his boyfriend's, that would just ruin the possibility of being in a good mood again tonight.

"What? No!" The unicat's eyes widened, and he really was not sure what kept him from staring at Adrian in surprise, and possibly running off the road in the process. He blinked and glanced around before finding a place to park. Once the car was parked he turned in his seat to face the rat. "Why would you think that? Of course I want you around." He smiled and leaned across the seat to kiss Adrian.

Adrian jumped slightly. He wasn't expecting that reaction from the unicat. "You seemed upset. I didn't want to bring down your mood anymore." The rat kissed Carlos back. "So..., you don't want me to go?"

"Of course not. I just didn't know what you wanted to do now that we've got the car." He felt a little lighter knowing that Adrian wasn't quite as angry as he had seemed initially. "It looks like it's going to be a clear night. I have this place I sometimes go to look at the stars if you're interested. Or... maybe you'd like to take my car for a spin?"

"We can go look at stars. I wouldn't mind seeing where you go to watch the stars at night. You do that a lot, don't you?" He wouldn't mind laying down and staring at the stars with the unicat. It would be an experience.

"Well... yeah, now that you mention it, I guess I do go there a lot. I go up there to think." Since Adrian seemed so interested, he grinned and restarted the car, put it into gear and started back down the road. It was nice to have a destination. At the same time, he was surprised that Adrian wanted to do something like this. Wouldn't laying on the car staring up at the stars be similar to what he hadn't wanted to be doing? Mushy, snuggly stuff? But maybe this would be a good opportunity to talk things out so they weren't having so many misunderstandings all the time.

"You don't hurt yourself, do you? With all that thinking?" Adrian said in complete seriousness, but the rat did have a small smirk on his face. It would be nice to go see the stars. He could see if he could spot any constellations and maybe he could get Carlos to tell him more about the car. Maybe the rat will even learn something about cars.

Carlos' eyes widened a little. Was he joking? It was so difficult to tell. "Yes, I have to replace my brain every so often, just like a car battery, you know?" After driving outside of town, he turned down a side street that after a short distance became gravel. It slowly climbed upward on a gently sloping hill.

"Oh yeah, sometimes I go through a couple in one week. It really depends on what I have to think about. Once I spent two days trying to figure out how to get my fur white again after the car threw up all over me. I went through three brains that time," he nodded and grinned, noting the change in Adrian's demeanor.

Adrian nodded. "That does not surprise me at all. You have a room dedicated to brains don't you? So that you never run out, right?" The rat's mood was definitely improved. I guess teasing his boyfriend will do that. He'll keep that in mind for future reference.

Carlos gasped with mock-sincerity. "How did you know? It's a big walk-in closet lined with jars on shelves, next to my shop..." He glanced at Adrian and smiled as he pulled away from the trees lining the road (if it could be called that) and drove along the ridge of the hill for a short distance before parking and turning off the engine. As far as he knew nobody owned this place. If he had thought they would come out here he might have brought a blanket to sit on outside... "Well, we're here."

Adrian shrugged. "I know you. Though, it does surprise me that you had the forethought to make a room of brains, so that you don't run out of any. I could just image you without a brain, you'd be just like every other moronic a*****e out there. At least I don't have to worry about that though, due to your brain room." The rat looked out the window of the car. It was a really nice area, he could see why the unicat would come here to think. It seems very calm and serene.
