Emris just looked at Terrie and was really too stunned to say anything for a couple of minutes. She...was she saying she liked him? More than a friend like he had though? Wait...did he like her in return though? Was this making any sense and did she sincerely take his friend's teasing as an actual fact? Was she.....she was. "Terrie...." Emris started softly looking at her while leaning against the tree still, "I didn't think that what the centaur said was true...."

Terrie felt like she was crumbling into herself with every growing moment of Emris' silence. Even the murmer of the crowd seemed to dim away.
Her head snapped up to stare at Emris, mind flashing faster than she could actually think. Not true? But then something clicked. "Oh geez..." Her face instantly turned beet red and she sat heavily to the ground, face in her hands. The centaur couldn't read minds. He had been teasing! Just teasing. The pure embarassment was too much for her, and she buried the heels of her hands into her eyes. What had she done?! If they're relationship hadn't been messed up before, it surely would be now! What could she say now?!

A brief pause as Emris moved silently to where Terrie sat on the ground. He carefully wrapped her in a warm hug before murmuring against her ear. "But....it's fine." He started softly with a faint blush on his own face, "Because if...if those really still are your feelings, Terrie, I....well..." Emris smiled softly before moving Terrie's hands from her face so that he could barely brush his lips against hers. "I'm fine with knowing what the centaur said was true."
He pulled back and scooted to the side to look sheepishly at Terrie while trying to control the own blush that was faintly warming his cheeks.

Terrie nearly jumped when she felt the hug. It was fine? The soft brush of his lips captured a gasp in her throat, and she wiped the tears from her cheeks before raising her eyes. Her face cooled to a soft pink before she could find words. "So, you're not mad that I-?" She was still nervous about actually saying it, and could not bring herself to it until she knew what he thought.

Emris shook his head and smiled at Terrie, "I'm not mad....more relieved than anything though. Yet, a bit nervous I admit..." He chuckled softly and ran his hand through his hair, "But it's okay for me to be nervous...I think." He grinned sheepishly and sat there looking at Terrie. What now?

Terrie blinked a bit. "Relieved?" Hugging her arms to herself she looked back at the crowd going on with their businesses. "Why are you nervous?" She turned and started twirling her hair again. "Do you have to kick me out now?"

Feeling the need to tease Emris nodded severely at Terrie. "Of course I'm going to have to kick you out!" He paused for several seconds with a serious look before shaking his head. "No I'd never kick you out Terrie
...I'm just nervous because..." He trailed off and blushed faintly. "I just am, and we can keep it at that."

Terrie shyed away, nearly bursting into tears again, before Emris clarified himself. She gave him a small half-hearted glare for the teasing before tilting her head. "Okay."
She looked down to her lap. "I'll leave if you want me to. I don't... want you to be uncomfortable with me around."

Sighing Emris reached over and took Terrie's hands, "I really don't want you to leave, Terrie." He paused and took a calming breath while trying to form his next words, "It's just that I don't really know what I should say or do now that we...umm have clarified that we both feel the same about things." He blushed faintly, "For now though how about we just enjoy the rest of this day together?"

Terrie looked at their joined hands and conjured up a small smile. Well, she hadn't scared him away at least.
"Clarified? Same?" She looked up with eager eyes. "We feel the same?!" With a happy yelp she nearly tackled Emris from where she sat, holding determindly to his torso, pressing her cheek to his chest.
"Now I can enjoy the rest of the day." She said happily, though she still hadn't let him go.

Emris looked down at Terrie in amazement before softly chuckling softly. "I don't know how far we'll get if we try to walk like this." He joked wrapping his arms around her and nuzzling her hair.

Terrie sighed in contentment. In those few moments, her entire world had turned from dark and dismal into a place of light and life. His arms around her acted as a safety net, telling her everything was going to be okay.
She looked up at Emris' face. "Yeah, we probably should get going." But a coy giggle said she felt otherwise. Tracing his neck with a hand, she pulled herself up to level and gently kissed his lips. She wanted just another moment at this perfect scene.

Without thinking first Emris found himself responding to Terrie's kiss with one of his own. The foxtaur's free hand cupped her face while his other arm gently moved her closer before he kissed her back. This time the kiss was more serious and filled with fiery emotions that Emris usually tried to hold back.
Breaking away Emris smiled sheepishly as he pressed their foreheads together, "Yes...we should get back to the market...?" He chuckled softly though before closing his eyes allowing a serene look to cross his features.

With Emris' returning kiss, Terrie's cheeks flushed warmly and she pressed herself as closely as she could.
"Well," She said with a small smile, gasping softly. "The market isn't going to grow legs and walk away, right?" Her fingers lightly traced his features, along his jaw and down his neck. She wanted to take in everything.

Opening his eyes to slits so he could somewhat see, Emris chuckled. "Well...you never know." He joked while running his fingers up and down Terrie's back. She felt delicate yet at the same time was solid and real as she sat there in his arms, Emris noted silently as he closed his eyes again enjoying the feel of Terrie's fingers barely moving over his skin.
