Aras's blush deepened. "No ... well ... a little ... just ... thinking of different things."

But what they were, she didn't say. She simply turned her attention to the way in front of them.

"Where are we going, Armus?" she asked their leader suddenly. "I mean ... what kind of place is it?"

Armus smiled down at the girls. "It's a nice place, a little cave," she replied softly. "It's bigger and deeper than the one you stayed in last night ... and a more beautiful area. It's on a small plateau, it's got a meadow ... sunlight and flowers and trees ... even a small pond, and a stream. Fruit trees and berry bushes ... everything you would need."

Corrah chuckled softly. "Just the hands for now," he replied, "though eventually we will get to the point where you have to hit me, but not my hands. We'll start out slow and we'll eventually get faster, but just keep in mind, you are just beginning, and you can't overwork yourself or you'll only harm yourself. Now, if you're ready, hit my hands."

He held them still for a moment, letting Ruran hit each of his hands once, then began to move them around, testing the boy's aim when his hands were moving steadily in small circles.

Kanis smiled, "It sounds so wonderful!" She let her mind start to wander and picture it all. It was so beautiful in her mind. She laughed day dreaming how many wonderful things that could happen there.

Ruran nods and smiles hitting both hands once and then watching the hands he started trying to hit the hands, but all this time it he was mostly missing or just skimming past it. It was not until almost the end that he started to get it and hit the hands more and more.

Rhea started to trot and he could smell he was getting close. When he was just about on them he dropped into sneaking mode and moved near silently until could just almost appear at Aras' side.

Aras's eyes sparkled softly in the afternoon sunlight.

"It sounds beautiful," she murmured softly, smiling to herself. Suddenly she felt a presence near her, and she looked around uneasily, wondering what it was. She had never felt something like this before ... it was the strange feeling that she was being watched, perhaps, or ... maybe even in danger ...

"Here we are!" Armus announced suddenly, smiling brightly, not appearing to notice Aras's sudden discomfort at all. "Just up on that ledge above us, so we've got a bit of a climb - but it keeps you safe from any of the animals that live around here, because the dangerous ones can't get up there either!"

Corrah kept the same pace until Ruran's aim improved and he actually began to hit him, and then, without warning, he started changing his movements - he kept the same speed, but changed the pattern of his hand movements, so that they would no longer be predictable.

Rhea when he saw Aras' look away smiled and walked to her side and nuzzled her leg. He looked up at the cliff and gave a soft whistle. "High..." he said. He could jump down it no problem but climbing up might be a bit of a work.

Kanis looked at it and smiled softly. It was not all what she thought but it was wonderful. She loved it and new she would love it even more. This was her new home for sure.

Ruran struggled a bit at the new pattern but he tried to stay calm and started to look or watch more of Corrah's body movements instead of the hands and as he wanted he was slowly starting to hit more hands than air.

Aras gasped with surprise when Rhea nuzzled her leg, but she looked down at him and giggled happily.

"I thought I felt like you were back!" she smiled brightly, kneeling and hugging him around his neck. She blinked. "Oh - you're wearing my little belt!" She giggled and tugged on it gently. "That's so cute!"

She ruffled his hair and straightened once more. "We have to climb way up there," she pointed up at the ledge. "Maybe we can work together ..."

Armus smiled at Aras and Rhea. "That's a good idea," she nodded encouragingly. "Teamwork is always the best way to try new things. You two work together, and I'll help Kanis."

She turned to the smiling girl and held out one hand to her. "Ready?"

Corrah let Ruran continue like that for a few minutes longer, then lowered his hands and smiled.

"A pause," he said simply. "You need to rest. We will continue shortly, and see how much you have improved."

And he himself headed over to sit next to one of the nearby trees, tilting his head upwards to catch the afternoon sunlight.

Rhea giggled and nuzzled into Aras' side more. "Rhea keep Aras?" he was asking about her belt. He then looked at the cliff again and sighed. "Yes...together." he walked over to the base of the cliffs and looked at them. He smiled and wondered how they should so this.

Kanis nods, "Um...Yes ma'am I am ready." she said and moved over to the cliff.

Ruran walked over to some shaded area and lay on his back with his eyes shut and his muscles tried already starting to feel the burn and tense up. He was tired now and ready for that nap he was deprived of.

Aras giggled and stroked Rhea's hair affectionately. "Yes, of course you can keep it, silly," she told him with a laugh. "It won't fit me anymore!"

She looked up at the cliff.

"Maybe ... you can push me up to that little ledge there," she pointed up to one a little above her head, "and then I can pull you up ... and then from there we can see if there's something else ..."

Armus smiled and held her hands like a stirrup, preparing to lift the girl high. "Watch for hand and foot holds, hold yourselves close to the cliff face, and don't hesitate to cheat. Just watch for loose dirt or rocks that might let you fall."

Rhea nods and crouched down to allow Aras to get atop his shoulders. Once she was there he would slowly stand up to push her up onto the ledge.

"To cheat?" Kanis asked. She moved to step into the hands and started to climb up or at least trying. She concentrated only on climbing now.

Ruran started to doze off.

Aras stood on Rhea's shoulders, trusting his strength and hoping that her feet wouldn't hurt him too much, and reached up to the ledge, pulling herself up on it. Then she lay flat on her stomach and reached one arm down to Rhea so that she could pull him up.

"Cheat," Armus grinned at Kanis. "Use ropes, branches, whatever you can find to help you up. Maybe someday Corrah will teach you all rock climbing, if you stay with him long enough. It's fun and it really builds up your muscles."

Rhea smiled and reached his hand up, taking ahold of Aras'. Then he used the other three limbs to help climb up to make sure she would not have to take all of his weight.

Once up onto the ledge Rhea looked around. "Lift again?"

Kanis nods and she continued to climb looking for anything she coud use. "Well I plan on being here for a good long time...so I am sure both of you can show me."

Aras smiled at Rhea and nodded at him, sitting up so that there would be room for both of them on the tiny ledge. Once they grew again, and reached the same stage as Armus, they wouldn't both fit, but for now it was a comfortable sitting place for just the two of them.

"First we should see if there's another ledge we can reach," she told Rhea with a smile, looking up at the cliff face.

Armus lifted Kanis higher until she was as high as she could hold her.

"I'm sure we would both enjoy that," she told the girl cheerfully and honestly. "It's nice to have someone who wants to learn, who's so happy about learning ..."

Rhea nods and smiles seeing a root from a large tree hanging out the side. He moved over and reached up to tug on it with his hands. He smiled, "Strong." he said softly and nods, "Rhea try first." he would not let Aras try unless he had tested it first.

Kanis nods, "Well I will try not to make it regrettable for either of you. I hope I can learn it all, I really look forward to it so much so." She smiled warmly and got her hands in a good handhold and held on.

She wanted to ask what it was like living with Corrah...but she figured it was too personal. "Um...we aren't kicking you out of your home are we?"

Aras nodded, but her expression was a worried one.

"You be careful, okay?" she told Rhea anxiously as she fidgeted aside to give him the space he needed. "If you feel it falling out, you let go of it and grab something else, or grab me, instead ..."

The last thing she wanted was for him to fall ...

Armus giggled girlishly at Kanis's worry and began to climb up the face after her, staying close to her in case a hand was needed. She was able to find foot and hand holds in places where others wouldn't think to find them, and as a result it almost looked like she was stuck to the side like a magnet.

"Not at all," she grinned at Kanis, her blue eyes dancing merrily. "I don't think I've ever stayed in this particular place, actually. No, I live wherever my feet take me."

Rhea shook his head "Will not hurt Arrras." he said softly and the root was very strong He smiled climbing up to the trunk of the tree. He was rather close to the top now and he smiled turning to hang his tail down. "Arras grab both." he said warmly. That way if the tree let go she would still have his tail and claws to rely on.

Kanis nods, "OH I see...that must be enjoyable to get to stay with your friend any where you would like to be." she said softly. He was determined to make this without a slip up. She always was the one to be a disappointment and even though she was skinning her knuckles a bit she was not going to let go no matter what. So she kept climbing until she made it to the top where she just sat there panting and scooted away from the edge a bit.

But before she would allow herself to look around she jogged over to the part where Rhea and her sister was she was going to help them both up before relaxing.

Aras smiled warmly up at Rhea. She knew he would never hurt her - she knew it before he had even said it. And she knew that she would trust him with anything he said, anything he did ... she trusted him intrinsically. She needed no reason besides her feelings.

"Thanks!" she grinned at him, taking hold of his tail and the root. "Um ... I need to pull myself up ..."

She looked at her hands in concentration, and she pulled on the root with all her might, climbing as high as she could without having to pull on Rhea's tail. She didn't want to hurt him either, after all.

Armus was up right behind Kanis, and she lay beside the girl on her stomach and reached both arms over the edge.

"Grab on," she called to the two who were still climbing.
