Nadeshiko slowly smoothed out the pile of concrete that Yuki had piled on. To her delight, it appeared to agree with her shovel this time around, and the concrete came out even, grey, and best of all, inside the lines. She clapped her hands. " Maybe you're right about the girl, I don't know. But you are definitely not right about my eye for decor." Here, she paused to make a sour expression. " I don't really mind what is put in there. The only things I would ask for is some private space, a scroll or two, and food. Comfort is something that is not necessary to me." Of course the girl with a five-pound belt would say that.

Aranami frowned at Akemi's comment. "Yeah... sorry, I'll hurry up." After a couple minutes bolting in pipes, Aranami noticed Akiko standing there. About to ask if she was gonna help, Akiko had finally spoken up, and Aranami frowned, wondering where he went wrong on bolting them in, and how easily fixable it was gonna be. "Sure, be my guest, I still don't know what I'm doing." Aranami said this with a shrug. He squatted down by the blueprints, trying to figure out where he went wrong. "Welp, I still don't get it." He muttered as he went to help keep the pipes steady so that Akiko could fix his mistakes. He smiled a bit, and asked her, "Hey, I'm Aranami, who're you?"

Akiko blinked. "Oh! I...I'm sorry!" she stuttered. "I'm Akiko. Yuki-sensei wanted me to come give you all a hand with this stuff," she added. She paced down the line of pipes, surveying the work the other two had done so far. "I don't know how much they want us to do, but a safe bet would be to get a solid line going down the whole way--and one coming back, for the water that's going out." At this point, her mind took over, and she began speaking to herself, though easily audible to everyone else. "But, it'd be a problem if the water decided to run the wrong way. Maybe there's a pipe that makes the water go only one way..." She rummaged around through the pipe pieces looking for something; she wasn't sure what she needed, but she thought she'd know it when she found it. She picked up one pipe that was shaped differently on the inside, and Akiko began looking at it and twirling it around in her hand. As she did, she muttered, "This could work... I'm not sure, I'd have to see it in effect, but that's not too easy to do. So, we can put these in, if they work, and we'll make sure they're connected to the pipes that feed water in--and separate those from the ones that go out, right? I think... and I"m not sure how many of these we'll need. It'll depend on the size of the rooms. But how big of a room will we need, anyway? I guess I can look at the foundations, they might tell me where the walls are supposed to be..." She muttered a few extra sentence fragments under her breath as she went around switching out pipes and adding connections for each room. She hoped this work would go by quickly and that she wasn't making any mistakes...

As Yuki brought the barrel of concrete over to Nadeshiko and Rokugi, she left a big sigh. "Well, this should be just enough. If there's any left over from doing the foundation, why not make a nice solid walk in front of the apartments?" Yuki suggested to the two as she proceeded to put her hands on her hips. "You're doing a very good job! Keep it up, darlings," she said with a smile on her face. Scanning the area with her emerald eyes, she noted that Shinichi hadn't returned with those beams yet. "Well... Hamma watch over them for a moment? I'll be back quickly with some beams," Yuki said as she left the housing disctrict seemingly ok, but she was rather seething due to the fact that Shinichi was taking literally all day with bringing those beams. ONE TASK! That's all she had asked and he couldn't even do that.
-Exit Yuki- -Enter Yuki-
Yuki was barely gone five minutes before she returned and with her, were several images of herself along with the strong metal beams that Hamma had made last night. Yuki had used her earth clone technique in order to haul the materials from the weapon shop to the housing district. "Alright! Everyone watch yourself!" she warned the group as she and her clones began assembling the beams and setting them up in the concrete, around the pipes and on top of each other to make a two story building. Loud clanging and bolting would make everyone go deaf for a moment before Yuki dropped her technique and let her clones disappear. "There... Now make sure that concrete is packed securely around the beams," Yuki told the two clan members as she dusted herself off. "We're almost done my darlings! We'll celebrate by having a feast alright?" Yuki said, knowing that they all had been working non-stop, which meant there hadn't been much time for lunch!

Nadeshiko smiled sweetly at anyone who happened to pass by (this happened to be Yuki) as she had finally succeeded at spreading the concrete properly. The motherly ninja suggested, what with the large amount of leftover concrete, to make use of it and make a walk in front of what was to be the apartments. Of course, with that slightest distraction, Nadeshiko had accidentally poured the concrete (and missed) again.
Nadeshiko looked up a few minutes later, in the middle of her correcting her mistake, to see Yuki (and some copies of herself) carrying some heavy looking beams, on which they promptly began work on. Impressed (and inspired by the thought of a feast), Nadeshiko put in a little more effort in her task. Which would hopefully be enough.

Rokugi stepped aside as Yuki began to set up the beams. Stretching his body a little he felt his back stiff as a rock from the strength he was exerting carrying the shovel. The sound of bones falling into place slowly filled him from the inside and he returned to his normal posture feeling much better. The girl Nadeshiko was as simple and normal as he was seeing that she didnt bother about any decorations or at least specific details. " I guess im happy to hear that I really just enjoy open spaces. Just the necessary will be enough then" Once the beams where placed the boy picked up his shovel and walked over to the area. He needed to make sure the concrete was well in place and that the beams where in the right position and holding . He turned towards the girl looking at her with a smile and with a lot of motivation to finish the work. " Ready for this? we are almost done. If we do this right we'll be over in no time." Using the shovel, Rokugi began to set and test the concrete so that everything was in place.
+1 to Nadeshiko as motivation

Nadeshiko was getting pretty tired, although she wasn't one to ever let that show. No, god forbid the day she actually admitted she was feeling even a little sore. If she allowed herself to acknowledge any weakness, than she would never rid herself of it. Nadeshiko, manage to wipe away her earlier mistake, but that still left a little space to be filled. But she really did need a break. 'Over in no time' my butt. thought the little girl. She sat down in front of the empty spot, legs and arms crossed, looking like she was trying to think of a way to complete her task, but in reality, Nadeshiko just wanted to stop doing anything for the moment.

[@Flecha: Yea, go ahead. I'll give you bonus experience for helping her.] Yuki smiled as she watched Nadeshiko sit down. The poor girl was probably getting tired. The woman was glade that she had asked Aranami to carry her crate to the house instead of the girl now! With a smile, Yuki brought over a small bottle of water from the well. "Take a drink, take a breather," the woman said handing over the hide bottle.

Akemi's mind started to wander as she looked up to the sky and started to notice the changes in the day... From the looks of it, it was early evening. With a small sigh, the girl looked back at the pipe work her and Aranami had already completed, and then really noticed the appearance of Akiko... the girl from yesterday. With a small grimace on her face, she kept her mouth shut as the girl explained her point of view. In her opinion, the girl was being a little know it all... but right now, Akemi just shut her pie hole and let the girl talk... maybe they would finish this before midnight....
"Let me see that..." the girl said as she grabbed the piece Akiko had been talking about. The build of it was different then the average pipe, instead of just being a regular pipe the contraption on the inside confused her a little bit. "See it in effect..." she mumbled to herself as she looked around on the ground for a moment until she found a small stick. She looked from the stick and pipe in her hands, to the other two and then took the stick and pushed it halfway through the pipe. She let it sit as she watched how it sat in the pipe and how the contraption held the stick in place. She waited a moment, and then tried pulling the stick back through the way she had pushed it. "Doesn't go back through..." she said matter-of-factly, almost like she knew what she was doing. "Is that what you meant?" she said with a mumble as she looked back towards Akiko and then Aranami, "I think it will work... What about you?" she asked the boy as she pushed the stick the rest of the way through the pipe and let it fall to the ground as she held the pipe towards the boy.

"Hmmm..." Aranami muttered to himself as he listened to Akiko's statements. After looking at the part handed to him by Akemi, he smiled for a second, then frowned. "So, I think I get what your saying, but..." He scowled. "Man, I wish this was easier to understand." He muttered under his breath. "So, how will we be sure if it's on right? I mean, cause if we screw this on wrong wouldn't everything go straight back to where it came from?" He squatted on the ground, brushing his hair back from his eyes that were darting from the blueprints to the piece of pipe. Glancing up at the sky, Aranami wondered where the day went. Thinking over the day, he wondered why exactly he was so excited to come here. There had been no training at all, at least, none that he could figure out a use for. Sighing, he tried unsuccessfully to figure out the blueprints again.

Nadeshiko turned and was silently grateful to Yuki for giving her water and a break. She was anxious to finish soon; the sky was getting darker, which normally indicates that either a storm or night is coming quickly. Also, she wasn't quite sure how long she could keep her stomach in check for at this point. But she tried again, after taking a swig of water, to complete her task, again with no success, perhaps with because she was fast losing concentration.

Akiko watched as the others interpreted her advice. Akemi seemed to be smiling... maybe? They didn't leave on a friendly note the last time they were together, but she did see some progress. Was she genuinely happy? Akiko wasn't sure. She hadn't been around others long enough to see that sort of thing. She hoped they'd be able to be friends; Akemi was a strong girl with a soft spot somewhere inside. She didn't know the boy, though... it might be good to get to know him. But he did bring up an interesting point about the pipes. "Hmm..." she muttered, glancing over at the blueprints. "Well, they'd have to go wherever the pipe splits... probably two, just to make sure nothing goes the wrong way. The same goes for the pipes back down." She took another look at the blueprints just to double-check her work, but something else caught her eye. "Hey, what's this?" she asked. She put her forefinger along a U-bend and traced it around. "I don't know what this is for, but it looks important. Otherwise they would've just used a straight pipe, right? I wonder what it does. Lemme see if I can build one of them." With that, she sat down in front of the various piles of pipes and attempted to assemble one, pulling the blueprints over to use as reference.

Akemi wasn't really sure what the girl was talking about anymore. She was jumping from one thing to another before Akemi could wrap her mind around a solid idea... And the boy wasn't helping much either... he wore his confusion on his sleeve.... Not that she really had anything to pitch into the conversation at this point... but she didn't want to seem like the dummy of the group. Pointing to the U shaped piece, Akemi piped in, "That would work maybe for turning the flow around?" she said, meant as a statement, though came out more as a question as she looked to the boy and then back at Akiko.

{{Sorry about not labeling my points properly, won't happen again.}}
Aranami looked back and forth between the two girls. "Well, any other parts we need to identify before we finish building the pipes?" Sighing at his not understanding this, he looked down at the blueprints. "So, if we use those U-shaped pipes to reverse the flow, and that other pipe to filter it, then all we need to do is figure out where they go in the system and then build it, right?" He put his hand on his forehead, while trying to figure out what goes where. He looked up at the evening sky, and wondered where the day went.
