Rhaim shrugged as the other two talked over his suggestions. In the end it didn't really matter since he didn't intend on ever holding the statue anyways. So long as he never touched the thing and was far enough away from those two if they got caught with it, it was unlikely for him to get pinned to the ordeal. Not to mention he'd probably end up just getting caught by the guards while the other two made off with it anyhow. He placed the free hand into his pocket and leaned back against a library table, suddenly wondering if it would be sturdy enough for a nap.
"I'm not saying we should go in the front door. It was just a suggestion. And this is a Library, we can look up every Senju in the village. You could always use their picture for a Henge and say that we're your guests. Or we could sit and watch a gate for a couple of hours to find out their routine and sneak in when we know it'll be clear. Or we could make Bunshin to cause a distraction on one end while we come in another. The instructor never said there was a time limit and we have options."

Tenma noted Rhiam's typical lacking enthusiasm, though she had hoped this might light some sort of fire beneath him. Regardless she thought over the two options, knowing they could both potentially work. Thinking back on her conversation with Taiju she remembered how being up front had gotten her the information she needed, so maybe that would work in this situation as well. It was a close toss up in Tenma's mind but she decided to see what Tairu would respond with. If it came down to it she would place her vote with the easy way in. After all, it didn't matter how they got in; just whether or not they did get in at all. Perform: +1 Disguise: +1 Slight of Hand: +1 Genin Exams

Hyuuga TairuHp: 60/60 l Cp: 45/45 l MHp: 55/55 l DB: 16 Tairu liked the options that Rhaim came up with. His ideas are so wonderful.. Rhaim I like what you have come up with so far, would you please continue to think of ways to get inside? I think I should at least ask Zephyr first, shouldn't I? Tairu struggled with the idea. But if I ask him then he might get angry, it is his statue after all. Tairu was conflicted so he thought it was only fair that he ask the others. "I might have a way to actually retrieve the statue with no trouble in removing it either, but there's a catch."Tairu said. "If my plan should back fire it could potentially make our job a lot harder to accomplish." Even if they agreed or disagreed Tairu was still unsure if he would listen to them.Genin Exams

Diplomacy Check ^_^ With a hesitant pause Tenma looked back and forth between the guys. There was something Tairu was obviously hiding from both of them, but she didn't know what it was. This was causing her to grow uneasy; she hadn't even known the boy for an hour, much less grown a trusting relationship. It was a shifting tension that knotted the muscles in her back, but she hadn't seen Rhiam react. "Perhaps..." She began slowly, attempting to make sure her meaning wasn't misjudged. "However, if you are not willing to give us details I believe it is only fair that, with you going off on your own, it is permissable that Rhiam and I scout the estate from afar. If this seems reasonable then, since you sound so confident in your plan, I see no true objections." Truly Tenma did want to believe Tairu, but she needed the security of having the estate in sight so he couldn't sneak off without him. It wouldn't make much sense to her, but it seemed like a reasonable request. Perform: +1 Disguise: +1 Slight of Hand: +1 Genin Exams

Rhaim took Tenma's silence to mean that she either didn't like his ideas at all or that she had some more of her own to contribute. Considering that she had been the one to approach him with this whole mission plan in the first place the second option didn't seem likely. If she had ideas then she'd simply speak her mind and lay it all out on the table. Thus she must not have cared for any of his thoughts, probably because there was some sort of gapping flaw in them. Though the next few words out of the Hyuuga boy threw him completely off. He was baffled by the idea that one person could hate his plans because they were terrible and the other like them and ask for more. Then again perhaps Tenma was simply that much smarter than both of the boys. The Nara shut his eyes and lowered his chin to his chest to keep thinking until he came up with something that she wouldn't mind.
"Is the risk worth the gain? Tenma could distract a guard by crying for help to find a lost doll while we slip in. If you know wall walking we could try just scaling the walls."

Hyuuga TairuHp: 60/60 l Cp: 45/45 l MHp: 55/55 l DB: 16 Tairu considered his options, he could try his plan or go along with another one. He just stopped for a moment and breathed in deep. He had to stop and think, decide from the heart what he should do. He did like the other plans, because he didn't have to ask Zephyr and possible endanger their goal. Tairu thought back to his training Yokou-sama I must have faith that it WILL work. he thought to himself. "Okay I feel that it is indeed worth the risk." Tairu stated. "Earlier today I met Senju Zephyr, the hokage, in fact I even trained with his student Lady Yokkou-sama." Tairu said with a pang of guilt, since he wasn't supposed to tell anyone that Zephyr was here. "I'm going to see if he will aid us, I would like you two to go to the academy and scout it out like Tenma asked. If I do not return with him, or I do return but I don't..." Tairu stopped as he tried to think of a code to prove it was himself. "Act... like.... a m.. monkey move in on the statue."[exit to meadows] Genin Exams

With a somewhat pleased nod Tenma felt slightly reassured since he agreed to letting Rhiam and herself scout out the estate. If Tairu's plan didn't work then Rhiam's plan just might, Tenma was an appropriate host for such a plan after all. While they waited the girl knew she would have to go over details with Rhiam since they would have to find a way to get her in as well. A slight smirk appeared as Tenma suddenly found herself hoping that he would have to act like a monkey, but that would also mean he failed. It was a double edged sword. "I believe I am prepared to take on such actions if Rhiam is as well." Her voice had a slightly firm tone to it but it was mostly an eagerness to begin their plans. Rhaim listened to the explanation as if it were nothing of concern since he knew nothing of the boy or who he may or may not know. On the plus side at least it was the Hokage and not the pretty farmer boy from earlier. If it had been him, the Nara would never have agreed to such an off the wall plan. With Tenma pledging herself to the plan he figured that even if he disagreed he'd be overruled by majority vote. Thus his only option was to turn his squinting eyes to the girl and nod his head.
"So do you want to watch one side and me the other to cover more area? Or stick together to watch each others back?"
With his inquiry set out in the open he pushed himself gently from the table and slowly towards the door so that they could walk and talk. There was no huge rush to get there soon, though for some reason he felt like Tenma didn't want to hang around longer than she had to.

Following Rhiam out of the library, content that Tairu had been so quick to his part, she thought over his idea. "If it is not against your own will," Her voice was still confident but it was slightly hushed form earlier. "I would prefer to stay with one another so that, at the very least, we may discuss alternative strategies. It is a bit difficult with a third mind in the mix, but this is the only real chance I think I will be willing to give him." Though it seemed cold her suspicion and unease with the boy was properly placed. However, if he managed to come through with his plan he might just gain a minute piece of her trust. {Exit to Senju Estate} Perform: +1 Disguise: +1 Slight of Hand: +1 Genin Exams

LV. 2 | Experience: 44/110 | Hp: 16/16 | Cp: 2/6 | MHp: 24/24 "Uhm, excuse m-me sir..." Kaede began.
He opened his eyes and turned her way and tilted his head. It was quite intimidating, the way those sharp feline-like eyes stared back at her. Actually, they reminded her a lot of Sempai's eyes, the way seemed as though they could see right through her. They even occasionally flashed with a hint of gold and commanded her attention. However, as intimidating as he was, he was blocking her way. If she wanted to enter the building, she would have to muster her courage. A deep breath.
"I-I'm sorry to wake you u-up from your sleep, s-sir, but I need to go inside the library t-to resume my studies, so if y-you don't mind, s-sir..."
Kaede waited with a bated breath for a response. She hoped he wouldn't lash out in grumpiness. Sempai himself, was pretty frightening when he was angry. Thankfully, this one said nothing. He closed his eyes, picked himself off the ground and strutted out of her path. Then, he cocked his head arrogantly, like a haughty king, at the doorway to signal that it was alright.
"I-I'm very grateful, sir!" Kaede bowed her head in his direction fervently and then walked inside.
'You should be, peasant.', he thought to himself as he watched the strange girl go. With a meow, the kitten decided that it would be pointless to resume his slumber now that it was morning. 'Hrmm... time to hunt for pesky pigeons.' And with that, he wandered off into the streets.
Kaede walked inside the library, feeling much more at home now. She had been training outside much longer than what she was comfortable with. It was nice being in a room with air conditioning. But now that the girl was here, her training would resume. Kaede nodded at the girl at the front desk in greeting. First things first... she grabbed a handful of paper, a brush, and ink in case she needed notes. She set them down at her usual table, a desk by her most important resources: the dictionaries the encyclopedias.
Then, the girl unrolled the course syllabus scroll and scrutinized the curriculum. For now, she would start off with an academy exercise that didn't require any chakra or reading for understanding. Like the first portion of the Bunshin no Jutsu training.
Bunshin no Jutsu For the first part of the Bunshin training, the students would practice their handseals: Tiger, Boar, Ox, and Dog while building up their chakra. DC: 15 Formula: 1d20 + Dexterity mod. Train: 0/5 **No Cp cost and no Hp deduction for this part. Rewards: +1 Dexterity
Hyuuga-san had already helped her memorize the handseals. The biggest problem simply lies in coordinating her hands from one handseal to another handseal. But she would try. Tiger was the seal the girl was most familiar with for now, since had formed it a few times with the Henge no Jutsu. As for the other three, well... she'll find out right now.

Bunshin no Jutsu For the first part of the Bunshin training, the students would practice their handseals: Tiger, Boar, Ox, and Dog while building up their chakra. DC: 15 Formula: 15 (1d20) + 1 (dex mod) = 16 (success). Train: 1/5 **No Cp cost and no Hp deduction for this part. Rewards: +1 Dexterity Slowly, but surely, she managed to make it through the four handseals. However, at the end of it all, the girl was not satisfied with her success. Not at all. It took her twenty-five seconds to complete. During those twenty-five seconds, Kaede had to pause a few times to remember which handseal she needed to switch to and how to pull out from one handseal to switch to the next. Also, it did not help that her hands still felt shaky after coming so close to chakra exhaustion. Still... that was probably enough time for the enemy shinobi to land a few punches on her. Hell, maybe even kill her on the spot. Perhaps she should try memorizing the entire set of handseals. Kaede pulled open the ink bottle and dipped her brush. One of the best ways to memorizing something was to write it over and over...
'Tiger, boar, ox, dog.' 'Tiger, boar, ox, dog.' 'Tiger, boar, ox, dog...'
... until the entire page was too full to cram in the words anymore. Now for a quick memorization test... Kaede crumpled the paper and covered the Bunshin no Jutsu description in the course syllabus scroll with her right hand. It was truly memorization once she could recite it perfectly after distracting her mind for a bit. Kaede glanced at the clock. She would give herself a twenty minute break. Then, she closed her eyes and allowed her mind to wander. Kaede wondered how Sasaki-san was doing. If she was here, and Hyuuga-san was at the genin exams, then he must be by himself with Miharo-sensei. Were they getting along? He hasn't tried to pick a fight with Miharo-sensei yet, has he? The girl frowned. She hoped not, she rather liked them both, well... not in that way, and hoped that the three of them could work together. Somehow. After she figured out some way to look at Miharo-sensei without thinking about... hrm. And where she worried over Sasaki-san, she was confident about Hyuuga-san. The girl wondered how she should congratulate Hyuuga-san for completing the exams once he returned. There was no doubt in her mind he would succeed. Especially now that he had the assistance of someone like Sempai. The greater worry lied in this: what could someone like her give that a noble didn't already have? She frowned. Maybe a trip to the marketplace would stimulate ideas.
Kaede glanced once more at the clock. Nine minutes have passed. What else was on her mind... well, she was finally on her way to being a shinobi. The academy wasn't exactly how she had imagined her first steps would look like. The building made her assume that the school population was a lot greater than it actually had. It was a wonder why there were so many classrooms, yet one would sufficed for her class year. She was expecting a bit more organization, with about fifteen students under a teacher. She thought there might be a teacher for each shinobi specialization, like one for Taijutsu and one for Genjutsu, and one for Ninjutsu... No, she was confusing the shinobi academy with a civilian system... The girl slapped her cheeks and reopened her eyes. Perhaps this was so the teachers could give more attention to each student's needs. And Senju-san did say that the path she wanted was something the individual needed to discover on their own. But as for the basics... Kaede glanced at the clock. Twenty-two minutes have passed... Okay, now for the test.
'Tiger... then a boar. Then a cow... no, ox. And then dog.'
Kaede looked at her scroll. It was mostly correct. Perhaps she should try the handseals now?
'Tiger...'

Bunshin no Jutsu For the first part of the Bunshin training, the students would practice their handseals: Tiger, Boar, Ox, and Dog while building up their chakra. DC: 15 Formula: 7(1d20) + 1 (dex mod) = 8 (fail). Train: 1/5 **No Cp cost and no Hp deduction for this part. Rewards: +1 Dexterity However, Kaede's attempt proved to be unfruitful and the girl had to pause at the ox seal before remembering there wasn't a cat seal. Why was she getting cat confused with dog when they were both completely different species? A brief image of the kitten from a few minutes ago flashed in her head. Kaede rubbed at her eyes, and frowned.
Hrm... perhaps she should work on a mnemonic for better memorization? Let's see... acronyms were out of the question. T. Bod, Dobt, Do BT, they all sounded stupid. A zoology mnemonic? This... blue? oni destroys...? Ugh, no. The baker... oveheats dinner? ... what? There... No. This wasn't going to work. There was only one vowel, she could cram in and there wasn't many verbs that were catchy enough. Maybe it would be more tangible if she incorporated it with the people she knew... Kaede pulled out a "c" encyclopedia and flipped to the Chinese Zodiac section.
The Tiger... was daring and impulsive. Stimulating. Vigorous and impatient. Aggressive, yet humanitarian. Impatient, yet unpredictable. Sincere and most of all generous. This was Sempai for sure. The way he bared his fangs when she had mentioned his little... cousin's? Son's? doll. Yet he had just as easily reverted to that tea side of him. Though Kaede didn't know what triggered it. An affinity for wood... that strangely fit with the tree image she had of him. Wasn't the Senju bloodline wood related anyhow?
Someone peace-loving? Someone over-reliant? She supposed that the boar was herself. Scrupulous for sure, if she wanted to make up for her numerous flaws. Though sociable, and intelligent she was not. Understanding? Sincere? Thoughtful? Maybe... and she'd like to think she wasn't naive or gullible, though her father disagrees. As for the element of water tied to this zodiac animal. Sure, why not? She drank at least three cups of water a day.
Someone who was logical and calm. With qualities of a born leader: tenacious, resolute, and patient. Hardworking. With ambitions, yet modesty... The Ox would be Hyuuga-san for sure. He was patient enough to guide her through her handseals even though she made so many blunders. And while he came from a noble clan, he was quite modest. Calm where Sasaki-san was angry at Miharo-sensei. Logical during the Nawanuke no Jutsu where she had panicked. Yes, this description fit would his image...
Then, there was the description of the dog. Honest and straightforward. Someone who was loyal with a sense of justice and fair play. Attractive... well, she couldn't really be the judge of that. Sociable and open-minded. Yet teetered between the idealistic and the practical. Can be pessimistic. Affectionate and easy going. The only other people she knew a little bit better were her father, Sasaki-san, Senju-san, and Miharo-sensei... if it came to the qualities of being sociable and affectionate, Sasaki-san and Senju-san would immediately be disqualified. As for fair play... she would have settled for Miharo-sensei if it wasn't for that strange topic back at the forest. Killing friends was not fair play. So that left her father.
Finished. The handseals were now filled in with the images of people she was familiar with. Kaede closed her eyes and tried to perform the handseals.

DC: 15 Formula: 19 1d20) + 1 (dex mod) = 20 (success). Train: 2/5 **No Cp cost and no Hp deduction for this part. Rewards: +1 Dexterity Kaede's lips twitched. The memorization was a success and the time it took for her to complete the handseal had dropped by seven seconds. People really did make a difference after all. However, she still had much to improve on before she could consider her handseal rate practical for combat use. Another problem she seemed to have was the lag time between her transition to her "sempai" seal to her "myself" seal. Though most of her chakra has regained and there was no longer any pain from moving her hands, her fingers were stiff. It hurt to form the boar and seal, noticeable in that muscle stretching pain and the sound of a few bones cracking.
Kaede bit her lip in thought. The pain was probably to warn her from pulling a muscle. Maybe she should try warming up her hands for a bit before trying the boar seal. The girl concluded. She held her right fingers into her left fingers, then held them out with her palms facing away from herself. There was an indian burn sensation where her fingers' skin stretched and the muscles in her wrist had complained a little, though not as much with the boar handseal. One minute. She would hold it for one minute, take a ten second break, try again, and repeat...
... until it felt as though they could not stretch any more than she could. Kaede shook her hands and wiggled her fingers for further measure. To test the flexibility of her hands, she tried forming the boar seal three times. The handseal felt much more natural this time. Now to try again.

Bunshin no Jutsu For the first part of the Bunshin training, the students would practice their handseals: Tiger, Boar, Ox, and Dog while building up their chakra. DC: 15 Formula: 4 (1d20) + 1 (dex mod) = 5 (fail). Train: 2/5 **No Cp cost and no Hp deduction for this part. Rewards: +1 Dexterity But before she could finish on the dog handseal, Kaede found her hands stuck on the ox seal. Her critical eyes could not look away from how imperfect the handseal looked. Straight. Her fingers weren't straight enough. The girl glowered and tried to fix it the fingers, but then her pinky started to slant. Ugh. Did she have some nerve problem in her fingers? Kaede tugged at her bangs. She would have to rectify this... even if it meant taking the time to create makeshift braces for her fingers. It was okay during the handseal exercise, since she had time to recorrect her fingers. But to do that in the middle of a jutsu? It wasn't practical and it might mess up the actual Bunshin no Jutsu. The girl pulled herself up from her chair and started walking over to the front desk.
'Hopefully not many people will need brushes,' Kaede thought to herself as she grabbed a handful of them and a roll of clear tape.
Then, she pulled out short ribbons of tape and placed them on the edge of the table. Then, she aligned her left index finger against a brush. Meticulously, Kaede wrapped one of the ribbons of tape around her finger and her brush. When she was finished, the girl tried to wiggle her finger. She was pleased that it stayed straight the entire time, although it felt weird. Thankfully, she did not have to do this for all of her fingers for the ox seal, as her right middle finger and right ring finger needed to be bent at 90 degrees. Kaede wasn't sure how she was going to get the brushes taped to her fingers if all her fingers needed to be straight. Or how she was going to get them off later. The girl did this five more times for the rest of her fingers and looked at the results. The only handseal she would be able to practice over and over for now while the brushes were in place was the ox seal.
'Hyuuga-san, Hyuuga-san, Hyuuga-san...'
No, the spacing between her fingers also needed work if she wanted to perform this handseal quickly. Kaede pressed her fingers together side by side, fanned them out a little so there was equidistance from each other. She did this twenty more times. Then, she closed her eyes as if to burn in the memory. Kaede could not take the time to reapply the tape and brushes to her hand every time she blundered on her transition to ox. Dark brown eyes reopened.
'Hyuuga-san, Hyuuga-san, Hyuuga-san...'
It was a much better now. Though how she fared without the tape and brushes, the girl would soon find out. Kaede peeled the tape off the brushes, crumpled the together, and placed them by the ball of paper she wadded up. She will go put them in the trash can later. But first...
'Okay, let's try this again.'
A deep breath.
