Valkyrie smiled bitterly. "You too, huh? It must be hard, knowing that all of your people are willing to die for you. After all, a noble's first duty is to protect his people. Its hard to protect your people if they're fighting for you." She sighed. "I truly hope it doesn't come to that."

Tala was straining to hear what they were saying to each other. "Whatever the reason this man is here, it can't be good."
Makani sniffed the air, trying to see what she could tell from the stranger. He was a threat to her master and to her master's master.

Kiro ended up on the gate near Tala and Valkyrie, listening in on their conversation, he decied to join in. "King Colm is a very talented person. Don't underestimate, also remember, the royal guard is stationed all around the castle, so even if you can't see them, they are there..."

Tala looked at the man who had spoken to them. "Even so, that doesn't stop all of these people from going on the defensive. In any case, it's likely that all of these elementists will get there before the guard."
This man smelled.... like the ocean. That's interesting.

Valkyrie glanced at Kiro, and smiled. "I'm not underestimating him. There's just something weird about the other guy. As for the palace guard..." She shrugged. "What can I say? I'm a warrior, too. I don't like trusting my job to other people."

Tala was petting Makani and checking in her Healer's bag for the things that she would need in case of an emergency. It was all there, though she was running low on matches. It was something that was vitally important.
But there wasn't time to worry about that in this moment.

Kiro nodded, his hand on his bow that was on his back. "By the way, I'm Kiro Makati. I'm a knight here to talk on behalf of the Water Royalty. Trust me... the newcomer that is treatening in everyway possible, is stronger than he seems. He destroyed a reinforced gate and appeared before the guard saw him. It also brought out the King, he must of felt a great disturbance... Just don't overestimate what you can do either..." He spotted the healer's bags, Hmm...

"Regardless. No matter how powerful this stranger is, he can't take on all of us without difficulty. And to take on the King on top of all of that? He doesn't really stand a chance."

"Kiro, huh? I'm Valkyrie Faldain." Valkyrie looked him over, and decided he looked like a good guy. "I know he's powerful, but I know my own power, too. And I'm willing to die to protect my people and my king."

Kiro smirked, Either they are ignorant, or really ready to die... Kiro nodded, "I haven't seen a healer in years... since I left the water nation to live here..." He pointed to the tower that had a blue tint in the stone. "Anyways, you might be right, but we don't know the full strength of our enemy, and everyone knows that its not good to go against what you don't know of."

Tala noticed his smirk. Tala scowled at him. "Water nation, hm? Well, Kiro, the key to true bravery is standing up to what you don't know, no matter what the consequences. And I know I'm right. It's common sense. The only way he could overpower all of us, the King, and the Guards is if he does something that takes every single one of us by surprise, which is unlikely."
Tala closed her eyes. Her temper was getting the best of her. So that was why he smelled of the ocean. He was a water elementist.

"Yes, and if you were smart, you would try to stay neutral. I'm going to try and stay neutral. You should too. A healer shouldn't pick a side, but help both, and specially if you two are nobles. Which I know you guys are. Lady Tala and Lady Valkyrie." Kiro smirked turned into a smile. "Just stay hidden, and lets see what the King has in store..."

Valkyrie started, shocked that he knew they were nobility. "So you've heard of us, huh?" she muttered. He was starting to get on her nerves, with his little smirks, and implications that they couldn't fight. But he had a point, which was perhaps the most annoying part of all.
