Deep in the heart of her home land, for the first time in many years, Ziven was on a mission yet again to find her family. They had gone missing months ago and, through much trial and error, she had been working on gathering information from reliable sources to locate them. Though she had not been successful before, she had high hopes this time would be different as there were several key details she had not heard before.
Approaching the area that was said to be where he family was, she silently observed the surroundings there for several hours before investigating further. The entire encampment was surrounded by high walls, with oddly shaped pillars showing from time to time, roughly forming a circle around the buildings inside the walls. Unfortunately, she had no way of knowing what the purpose of these walls and pillars were before she entered, but it was a risk she would have to take.
Once inside, she almost immediately regretted her decision to come here alone. It was very slight at first, but quickly came to light that this place was able to take the magical force from other beings. As she was not prepared for this such encounter, she could feel herself slowly but surely becoming weaker. Still, she pressed forward as she knew that there was no way she was getting out the way she came in; with magic.
Unfortunately for her, it was not long before her presence was detected and she found herself accompanied by a number of personnel who were intent on capturing her, one way or another. Wanting as much information as possible, she decided to go freely with them, hoping that she would be able to succeed and find her family. Again, this would not be the case.
In a rather heroic effort to free herself, she tried to flood whatever it was that was taking her magic, expelling most of her magic energy in one giant explosion. When the dust settled, everyone around her was very startled, bruised and surrounded by a mild amount of rubble, but they were still taking her magic and that of their other prisoners, which she would soon join.
Being thrown in to a dark room with a number of other prisoners, she found herself surrounded by a number of different folk, with varying magical backgrounds. Continuing still to sort out what was going on and trying to find out if her family had been there, she was able to learn of another room of prisoners, a place for, what they defined as, 'The Exceptionally Tainted', whatever that meant.
It was not long before the weariness of being drained of her magical abilities hit her and she fell asleep. A restless, fitful sleep, much unlike her normal sleep. She would not realize for some time that when she 'woke' the next morning, it was not the reality she had gone to sleep with. There she found herself still imprisoned but with hope of escape. This scene would play out until, inevitably, she would figure out that what was presented to her was not reality at all. Sometimes this was a happy ending, sometimes it was more of a nightmare.
These hallucinations continued over and again, so frequently and so livid until the moment that she realized it was not truth that it became impossible to determine the difference between time spent with these hallucinations and reality. Minutes turned in to hours and she had lost track of time. To her, it felt as if she had been captured for several weeks and was beginning to lose hope.
Thankfully for her, reality was still going on at normal pace. The second day of her absence was coming to an end. Despite her lack of foresight in anticipating being captured, it would not be long until her Love would come searching for her.

It came across the land at the end of the second day what he'd been waiting for. Nightfall. The time when no matter the place in time, space or dimension the darkness took it's fair share of the day to swallow worlds in its shadowy clutches until the sun rose to break the world free for another day. The shadows provided another purpose than just the stealth and cover of night, his powers were stronger and his sense of finding where his love had vanished to more profound at night than during the day. In the back of his mind he smirked, sure he'd promised to wait three days, seventy two hours, and it had only been two. But he was so bored back there, starting to get worried that she hadn't simply returned the same afternoon she left. He couldn't take it anymore and decided to break his promise.
Soon the moving oil slick that crept silently across her homeland during the night came upon an area with odd pillar structures and fortress like high walls. The oil slick halted and began to surge onto itself bubbling and coalesced into a solid figure. Hidden by the shade of the shadows save those two crimson orbs that burned with raging fire and set a light glow about his face. His careful crimson eyes danced over every structure he could see analyzing every detail as if he were trying to guess the best way to destroy them. Hmmm best not he thought better of it, too much noise in blowing through a wall or cracking down one of those pillar things. If there were living things about, and they had managed to subdue Ziven or worse, they must be handled carefully he theorized. She certainly wasn't as strong or powerful as himself or Aliator, but she was far from a weakling.
Bending his powerful legs the large form jumped into the air landing atop one of the higher walls. Perching himself as a gargoyle would on a church roof his red eyes peered down into the walls to get a better look at what he would be dealing with. Brains first, muscle later.

It would become clear to Yawgmoth as he perched on the ledge, that something was taking his magic. The personnel here were rather lazy, feeling over confident in their "security" system, having assumed that anyone breaking in would either not be able to do so because they did not use magic, or once within the walls, would be subdued by the lack of magic, with it all being siphoned out of them slowly until there was little more than what was barely necessary to keep them alive.
On the perch there, Yawgmoth would be all but invisible to those below. Once he dropped down, however, he would be on the grid, so to speak, and he would be 'greeted' just as Ziven had been.

Yawgmoth's eyes narrowed as he felt something pulling the magical energies from his body. He grinned a wicked smile. Ahhh so this was how they caught his love. How cute that they thought this would work on someone like him. It didn't seem to be draining very much. He quickly calculated how much he could use before running dry. Best to keep things physical for now. Save magics for the escape he agreed with his thoughts. Standing up he jumped down landing on the ground below with a thud denting in the soil from his weight. Confidently he licked his lips and began his movements to where he felt Ziven, where the shadows told him she was.

The men and women guarding the area had no idea what they were up against. Though Yawg was so much larger than they, they still approached him with the arrogant thoughts that they would be able to subdue him as they had everyone else who had been captured or came here on their own. "Stay where you are .. you will be taken prisoner, your magical aura has been detected." said one brave soul, stepping forward and trying to maintain control of the situation. It would be easy for Yawg to know that there were five people already within close range of him, moving closer, as well as another half a dozen on the way.

Laughing loudly and in an arrogant manner as to purposely attract more attention to himself he held up one finger and waved it back and forth like he were telling a child no. "Ah ah ah, you didn't say please. How rude of you, but you know...we like your confidence. We're going to save you for last." he boasted cracking his neck to the left side and then his knuckles in a loud manner. Flexing his fingers open and closed he quickly surveyed the situation around him. Five in melee range, another six on the way, guessing between two and three more who heard him laugh and taunt the idiot who dared to speak. That averaged about fourteen people if his numbers were right, give or take one. How pathetically easy he thought as he exhaled. As the breath left his body his hand snapped out and grabbed the one who spoke around the mouth with his right hand actually able to lift the man off the ground by gripping onto his face. At the same time the shadows around them grew angry and tentacles jutted up from under each individual within a twenty yard radius around him impaling them instantly.
Grinning Yawgmoth's crimson eyes looked into the being who had spoken's eyes with a sinister satisfaction applying a little more pressure with his hands likely causing his cheek bones to start cracking. "The pretty blue haired girl. Where do you keep her? You can tell us, or you can start to pray we get bored of pulling fingers off after the first few." he mocked looking down at the being's hands and then locking eyes with him, a crazed look upon the titan's face. Direct eye contact would cause a violent fear and uneasy feeling for as long as the gaze remained.

Struggling at first, the man he grabbed finally realized that the more he squirmed, the more discomfort he would feel from being held like this. Still, the man grabbed on to Yawgmoth's arm, holding himself up a little more, trying to ignore the growing aches and pains in his face and neck. Though, he realize also, as the giant man spoke, that this would likely be his last moment of life. Knowing it would hurt to release even one hand, he clung on for dear life. That is, until he looked straight in the eyes with the man. A chill sent down his spine and he instinctively reacted, shielding his face, covering his eyes from the monster before him. But soon he recovered again, grabbing on to the arm which held him with just one hand, easing the pain just a little, keeping his eyes shut tight. Hearing the request, as he now shivered and quaked from the fear and adrenaline rushing through his veins, he lifted a very shaky left arm, pointing to the buildings behind him, not once, but twice, to show that it was not the nearest one, but the one behind it.
More men approached as this was going on. It took a few moments before large flood lights flickered on, illuminating the ground all around them. Another moment passed before screaming, shouting and the sounds of some fleeing the bloody sight before them that Yawgmoth had made. They were here to guard, but most were not prepared to lose their lives for this.

Yawgmoth's eyes looked to where he was pointing for a second and then back to the man a feral snarling like an agitated lion emitted from his chest before he spoke. "Did you think, that would save you? We will do you the favor of ending your miserable parasitic existence. Scream your dying breath, the end is upon you." the titan said laughing like a lunatic after the fact before he squeezed crushing the man's face in dropping him on the ground. He could still be alive in agonizing pain Yawgmoth thought, since crushing the face wouldn't necessary destroy any vital organs..hmm Ziven would hate him if he left him there to bleed to death in agony. Raising his foot the titan stomped down, the sickening squish of brains and bones cracking under his boot heel. There, a quick painless death. The flood lights made his skin crawl, too bright. Arrogantly he snarled again and started walking to where the poor fool had pointed. Hmm too bad he killed him already thought Yawgmoth, if he lied it would have been fun to pry his fingers off one by one and hear him scream.

Hearing a series of screams and bangs, not only Ziven but everyone imprisoned were woken from their hypnotic states. Though they had been roused from this state of mind, it would not be easy for any of them to believe this as being truth, as many of their hallucinations were of failed rescues. Though she realized this might not be reality, she still had to go with it, she had to try, even though she did not truly believe. Standing on shaky legs, she began to wander out of her prison, as the doors had swung open.
She was falling in to what would very well be a trap for all the other prisoners; freedom that could be doom. The intention of this strategy was that whomever would attack would not truly be able to tell the difference between the personnel and the prisoners, once this happened. Every person looked a bit bedraggled and none had any true weapons on them, save for a few. However, there were weapons left out in the open so that it would be easier for just about anyone to grab them. This was both stupid and brilliant, given the balance between the availability of weapons and weakening of their prisoners. Now their final test of this situation would come to pass. All prisoners were released to deal with the hostile invader on their own.
Slowly Ziven made her way out of the room, not trusting of anything she saw. Though no one knew it yet, she had been able to summon just one of her elbow blades and one of her guns, as she had been able to pool a small amount of energy over the past day, trying to enable herself freedom. She had been trying for both blades, as well as a number of other supplies and better clothes for taking care of business and getting the hell out of here. Her gun was stowed in her belt, just under her chest, so that it would be difficult for anyone to see that weapon there.
Outside, she could hear more voices, more shouting, and was tempted for a brief moment to stay where she was. With her magic drained to such a small amount, she could not reach out to feel and know what was going on beyond what she could see, hear and touch.

Careful crimson eyes watched with arched brow as a myriad of bodies were rushing all about. Perhaps he had stirred a frenzy and panic, even better he thought to himself. He carefully strode through the crowd. Only retaliating if someone were stupid enough to make an offensive move at him. His crimson orbs kept searching for Ziven, heading in the direction the darkness was telling him to go. On his way to where she was wandering about there were at least three or four crazed idiots tried to assault him in their delusions only to meet a fate most gruesome but thankfully quick as he had to get to her. Snapping a few necks or punching a hole through someones head was a quick motion and easy death. She didn't seem to be moving at least, the darkness kept telling him the same spot. That was good, at least they wouldn't be moving away from one another or anything stupid like that.

There was even more shouting, more fear, she could feel the fear, smelling it in the air along with the scent of blood. Another scent came to her, one that was familiar, but she would not allow herself to believe that she had smelled who she thought she had. Holding her elbow blade in a defensive position, she found a spot to hide for the moment just outside the building she had been held in. Though the lights were illuminating most of the camp, she was in a nicely dark spot, it would be difficult for most people to see her there.

Luckily for him she hid herself in the shade, perfect. The darkness around her was now screaming to him. Calling him to that very spot, she was there it was sure, it could see, feel, touch, smell her. She was right before it. Yawgmoth grinned and proceeded towards that very spot, a few more crazed aggressives, and a few more quick deaths before he was finally standing about ten feet or so from her still bathed in the glow of the flood lights above. He peered into the shadows to ensure it was her, not that he didnt trust the darkness of course, but he trusted his own eyes first. Sure enough, it was his blue haired angel. "Got yourself into trouble we see, well we hate to break our promise and come earlier than three days but we couldn't be without you that long." he said reaching into the shadows towards her. "Come, let us get you out of here, we will discuss things more once you are safe."

She retracted in the exact opposite way that he likely would be expecting her two. Partially standing, partially crouching, she took several steps back, looking to him with an expression of mistrust and fear, an expression he would not have seen directed toward him from her in years. "Stay back! How can I trust this?!" she demanded. Though she was trying to sound strong and sure of herself, she was feeling anything but. The waver in her voice, the slightly unsteady balance as she moved back from him, looking to him with those steely blue eyes, mistrusting and afraid. "I have seen this play out so many times .. how can I possibly trust this is not another lie!"

Quirking his eyebrow "Do lies talk to you? Can you reach out and touch lies?" he demanded to know. "You cannot seriously doubt us. Not when we're this close. Not when our presence is so powerful, surely you must sense the reality of it." he said trying to convince her to just try and trust her feelings. Even with an aura of draining magics instincts would have to remain wouldn't they? Hopefully she would listen, if she still thought he was some illusion or some kind of insane thought he would have to do what he didn't want to, cause her harm to subdue her.
