Innie bombers got some high powered nukes" Shawn said ino his COM set to Shinta. The Tri-Shot blew another, fast approaching Brute to pieces. He heard a buzzing sound, not to far off. "We got bugs!" He shouted as a whole swarm of 'bugs' f;ew around the corner.

(Drones. Alternate timeline, Japan is still part of Earth, at least half of it is. I think that that is why he wants to get back to Japan. To help get it back.)
"Please just activate the beacon! And stop hogging the COM channels, I think I heard something on one of them." Liz said as she switched through the channels until she heard Keyes speaking. "Lord Hood, are you there? The Fleet poses almost no threat to you anymore. The Covenant ships are destroyed or disabled. Should we send some Marines aboard?" He asked. "Negative, Fleet Admiral Keyes, we have it almost under control. Instead, I want you to send some soldiers aboard the disabled ships and hold them until one of your ships connects with it. And send in the Spartan III's, they need some combat practice. And how is the Covenant city?" Hood replied in the engine room. "Disabled, but not destroyed. What do you think that we should do?" Keyes asked. "After all of the ships are docked and cleared, send in all Spartan attack forces in your fleet. That is an order, Keyes. Lord Hood out." "Roger, Keyes out." Liz told everyone what she just heard, there had been a victory, and a large one too. It the final attack worked, they would have a Covenant City Ship.

Shinta slowly pushed the button on his helm, snd just sat there to wait for Liz to get there.
(Never read the books, so did they blew up Japan in the books? Damn them if they did.)
