Layna blinked slightly, feeling the eyes all around her. It made her feel self-conscious of the grief that was plain upon her face. She tucked her head against her son, shaking. She felt more human than she had ever before. She felt weak hearted and just plain weak.

Steffon and Duke searched around the area and found no traces of the scent left on Ceon. 'He's gone. Completly destroyed any other scent of himself.' Steffon thought to Duke who relayed this message to Razu.

Layna blinked, a scent catching her rather off guard. "Steffon? Duke?" She murmured in surprise, her eyes scanning the darkness. Gabriel babbled childishly, happy to get a response from his mother. He cooed softly, smiling.

Amelia soon got hungry. She picked up her hat and put it on to cover her ears and hid her tail under her skirt. "This is tedious. I'll have to find a place to rest soon." She jumped down from the tree and walked out of the park meeting no human confrontations. ((I guess the cutthroats aren't too active tonight.))

Steffon and Duke both heard their name's being called. For a moment they were tense before realizing that it was Layna that was calling them. The race over to her and layed out their condolences.

She smiled silently at the two. How long had it been since she had seen them last? She could not remember. "Where is Razu at? Is he here?" She asked. She raised her head and looked around for a moment, her eyes avoiding the cold corpse lying next to the tree. She did not look at it, for fear of the pain that lay just below the surface. Gabriel reached out, grabbing at Steffon's fur with delight.

Steffon licked Gabriel happily wagging his tail.
Duke answered, 'He's-with the pack leader in the sewers...after the battle in the subways.'

The answer made her nervous, yet not unsurprised. "Jaden? Then... all went well?" She asked quietly, touching Duke and Steffon with nervous fingers. It felt odd to see the two, here, without Razu. "How is it.... that you have come to the park?" She watched her son squeal with unhindered surprise and delight. At least he was not deathly impacted by what had occurred.

Ghostflower walked over to Layna with Fangoria in her arms. She tapped Layna's shoulder and tilted her head. Ghostflower felt like she should say something, since she knew Ceon. She gave a small wave to Gabriel and cradeled her newborn in her arms. She looked back at Alex, who was holding Fangoria's twin brother.

Layna looked up at the woman who had touched her. "Yes...?" Her voice trailed off, sounding hollow almost. Half of her wanted to scream as loud as she could, in anger and pain, but the other part of her restrained that, told her not to scream, but hold onto the anger the bloomed like fire. To be angry at one person. Daiguren.

Ghostflower smiled alittle at Layna and tilted her head. "You're Layna, right?" She asked softly, not wanting to wake Fangoria. Ghostflower's eyes turned from blue to an apple green, her mood changing quickly. She suddenlt remembered, Layna did not know her. "My name is Ghostflower Aura, mate of Claw Riser. I knew Ceon and I've met Gabriel." She said and nodded abit in greeting.

Layna nodded her ascent. "I am...Layna." She muttered softly. Gabriel looked up from his pulling at Steffon's fur. Giggling softly, he smiled, his grey eyes bright with childish glee.

Ghostflower smiled brightly as she looked at Gabriel. "It's nice to meet you Layna. Hi Gabriel, now you have two new playmates! You'll have to wait awhile though." She said softly, but with a happy bounce to her voice.
