Daniel watched her, as he bit his lip. Drinking the rest of the tea in an attempt to soothe the pain, he kept on write/talking. 'Pain, without love. Of course. Would you like a bandage?' Inside, Daniel sighed. He wouldnt' be able to forget this place, even if he'd forgotten the others. Either way, it reminded him that the pregnant woman was planning on leaving after giving birth. Perhaps they'd both leave. She was cared about, by more than a few patrons. His departure would be covered up by hers. Like he never really left at all.

"Please..." She said softly looking at her hand nodding to him. "...What are you thinking, Daniel?" River questioned jumping onto the counter, a blank expression on her face. Was he really going to get a bandage for her? If not she would herself. Leaning back on her free good hand she gazed down at the still bleeding appendage she had self inflicted this, that needed to get instilled in her head, It felt wonderful as well. "You wouldn't leave me right?" She questioned her sanity was on edge here, he was keeping it close to normal, as well as Trina Tomo, and Asphiel was, but is no more. She looked at him blinking staring blankly.

Was this River on adrenaline? Was she having a pain pleasure rush? Why had she said that...? Now Daniel felt awful. He shook his head, an immediate response, as he got up, and walked behind the bar. He found the first-aid kit, and retrieved a roll of bandages, and a medication for open wounds, that stung a bit, but healed it quickly. He walked back over to River, and waited for her to extend her hand. Though she would never show any sort of companionship, or anything more than not-being mean as a way of being nice... She was really making it hard on Daniel. But, now, his mind felt more eased. She'd helped to supress his many thoughts, and give him something to distract himself from his adoration of her.

Smiling softly at him she slowly reached toward him holding her hand to him. Blinking she felt like a small child though she clearly was not that small child in her mind. Shifting a bit she watched him with distain. "Thank you." She said to him softly looking down on her bleeding hand. It felt wonderful again she felt herself falling into the ecstacy of a feeling, is this what love was supposed to feel like? How could she share this? "...Hmm.."

With care, Daniel stretched out a bandage, and applied some of the medicine to it. He started to wrap her hand in it, with very gentle hands of his own. He watched River, with a small smile. 'You going to be okay?' he asked, though he knew that it was on purpose, and self inflicted. Didn't mean that it wasn't going to sting a little bit. He was almost done with her hand, but, it was taking longer, as he was being more than careful.

"..Daniel?...I need to go.." She said hurridly, looking around like a mad person, she needed more, more of this sensation. Hopping off the bar she pushed past him and started for the stairs pausing running back and kissing his hands softly,"Thank you." She murmured before dashing up the stairs and into her room, she looked strained and stressed and in a hurry which she was indeed, she needed this almost as much as she wanted to feel.

Though Cass had felt awful all week, today was by far the worst. Was Tomo around? Please, please let him be. Though she was not a 'rookie' nothing about this situation made her comfortable. Wringing her hands, as Cass lay in bed, she glanced around. EArlier in the day, she'd talked to Daniel. His plans were off... She had to go it alone, later. Maybe tomorrow. "Tomokazu Uehara!" she screamed, her hands grabbing at pillows.

Moments later, Tomo pushed open their door with a worried expression. "Cass, what's the matter?" He asked. She wasn't due for another few days, but... "Is it time?" He asked, sitting down on the bed, "You should get up and move around." He instructed, resting his hand on her shoulder.

Cass had done this before, but, then again... So had Tomo. Now was not the time to be stubborn. With a frantic nod, Cass wriggled to the side of the bed, next to him. It was as though her brain were turned off, and all she could think about was not harming Liam, for Tomo. She stood, and looked back at Tomo. Walking to the door, carefully, her brow furrowed, and she whimpered. Her legs felt so weak, for some reason. But, she'd walked with this belly for so long, now!

Tomo stood and followed her, bending a little to offer some shoulder support. "Hey, Bai! We could use a smidgen of help!" He called out the door, hoping his voice would carry down the hallway. "Do you wanna go downstairs?" He asked Cass.

Cass looked at Tomo, her face red, and eyes wide. "No!" she said, her voice a whiney squeak. "C-can't Ij ust stay up here?!" she exclaimed, as she felt like pulling all of her hair out would possibly be more comfortable than Liam right now.

"Okay, okay." Tomo soothed, walking her out into the hallway. They would go up and down it while they waited, not straying far from their room in case she went into labor.
Baizou arrived with an armful of towels. "I figured this was happening, so I brought these." He said, going into Tomo and Cass' room to lay them out.
Tomo nodded, and smiled at Cass. "Hope you don't mind a boy being your midwife." He murmured, tail swaying excitedly.

Yule came in with a blue decorated birthday cake with a fire engine on top and a candle in the shape of the number six. She ran back and got the box of decorations that she bought some days ago. She looked around, "I wish someone would help me decorate...." she took out the 'Happy Birthday' sign and tried hanging it over the bar.

Cass shook her head. It was not impertinant information. It didn't matter who her midwife was! "This might go fast. I... " she couldn't explain it, as she hobbled towards Ellie's room, than turned with Tomo, back to his room.

Tomo, oblivious to Yule's decorating, nodded and kissed her cheek affectionately. "You're so brave, Cass. I can't thank you enough for staying and carrying Liam." He murmured, making conversation to calm her down.
