puppylove713 They are pretty good, but the truth is that the storyline for both leave a lot to be desired. If you want the full story you need to play all three... I have completed all three so I have the full story. Ahh that sucks. As much as I am for collecting, that's a bit much to force one to do it.

I didn't mind so much because I would have done it anyway... So it made no difference to me. But yeah, I see your point. They shouldn't have done it that way... There are other ways of implementing all three parts of the story into one game. But I suppose they wanted to get more money so they did it this way.

If they did it the way of pokemon I would have been fine with it with essentially a full story but with different content.

Yeah, it is the same exact thing for the pokemon games with different content. Example being Ruby/Sapphire or Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire. They are the same story but the key difference is the whole Team Magma (Ruby/Omega Ruby) and the Team Aqua (Sapphire/Alpha Sapphire) and of course the minor difference of which pokemon can be caught in one game but not the other (Mawile (Ruby/Omega Ruby) Sableye (Sapphire/Alpha Sapphire)). Aside from that they are totally the same. However Fire Emblem Fates was split into three different games with three different stories. Essentially they lead up to basically the same ending though just different views for the different sides. However Revelation is pretty different from the others. There is pieces of the story that isn't even mentioned in either of the other two in that one...

Well, they say that you shouldn't play Revelation until you complete both of the others.... I can see why too because the others give a bit of background information to some of the information in that one. As for the other two, I don't have a preference for the story, but I like Conquest's characters better...

All of the characters from both games show up in both games, but I like playing with Conquest's characters more than Birthright's characters. There are also characters that are playable in both games and I happen to have a liking for those ones so it is all good. I should warn you though, Conquest is harder to beat than Birthright.

Examples? What do you mean? Do you want examples of how Conquest is harder to beat? Well if that is the case then that is simple enough to explain. Basically in Birthright you get unlimited funds because you get unlimited battles which also gives you unlimited experience. It makes your characters stronger as well which obviously makes it easier to win. However in Conquest, you get limited battles and limited funds. So leveling up is more challenging. Also, there are more specific rules per level. For example, in Birthright all battles were always beat the boss or route the enemy (beat all enemy units) to win the battle. But Conquest had more difficult rules like beat the boss within 5 turns or kill a specific amount of enemies, etc... In other words, Conquest is the more challenging one of the two, but the one I liked more over all. If you want another opinion on things about these games you could ask Zero. He has played at least one of the games, but I can't remember which.

I enjoyed them both as one allowed me to leisurely go a slow pace while the other challenged me to think a head. Quite a pickle to choose between them.

I don't know if what you said it true because I haven't played Sacred Stones or Gaiden.... I have only played Shadow Dragon, Awakening, Birthright, Conquest, and Revolution.... In other words, the newest ones...

I actually liked it more than I liked Birthright and Conquest to be truthful. Revelation was actually quite a bit better than the other two for it give more details in the whole story, but it is highly recommended to play the other two first and I kind of agree now that I have play all three of them.
