@Nanashi: (I should probably sleep too, and it looks like just about everyong else has also left for the night.) Anise served herself some soup, and when Felix stuck an inquisitive nose in the pot, she laughed and serves him some, too.
"I hope we find more Eevees. The report we found said there were four cloned Eevees, plus the original, right? Though since the clones were more susceptible to evolution stones, maybe they're all evolved by now. Either way, I hope we rescue them from the Rockets." Thinking dark thoughts about what she'd like to see done to the Rockets, she continued munching her soup.
"...It might just be the fact that we were locked up for we're-not-sure-how-long, but I think this is the best soup I've ever tasted."

@ Mew Shina nods. "It is very good. I wonder if someone planted those edible pond plants? They certainly go well together."
Shina pauses and takes another bite, swallowing before continuing. "I'd guess that the eevees have probably evolved. Didn't someone say they thought they saw a flareon a while back? It was probably an escapee." Shina finishes her bowl and covers a yawn. "Pardon. Seems with all the excitement, I'm about to nod off." Shina stretches, and considers the pot. "There is more than enough soup left for the morning. If we set the pot in a cool spot of the lake, it should stay good until morning."

@Nanashi: Anise nods. "Sounds like a good idea. We'll probably need to be well-rested tomorrow, so I'd better get to sleep too." She finished off her soup and cleaned up her supplies, storing the spiced apples in a plastic bag for the morning.

@ mew
Shina takes the pot down to the lake, carefully setting it in a sheltered spot. Returning to the campfire, she banks it and settles against her ponyta. "Goodnight." Wrapping her blanket around herself, Shina quickly falls asleep.

@Nanashi: "'Night, Shina." Anise quickly followed suit, rolling out her blanket and crawling under the covers. Felix curled up beside her and Halcyon perched in a tree just above her. Anise drifted off to sleep hoping that tomorrow would turn out better.

((Final post from me for the night. I swear, I'm going to be a lot more active tomorrow! If anyone out there wants to lightly use Zen in any of their posts, be my guest.))
Now Zen remembered why he hated these caravan journeys so much. Bad things always seemed to follow the traveling group. First there was the Rocket attack, and now some weird shadow thing was racing around. Armageddon and Axel both were on high alert, ready to attack at any moment. Zen, too worried to sleep, set himself up for a long night at the clearing. He had a kettle of coffee going, and a small campfire built. He noticed others were still awake, probably also nervous. With a small yawn, Zen settled into his sleeping bag with a mug and a book.

((asdfghjk me and Sad were at a family diner all day. WE MISSED SO MUCH EXCITEMENT! ; A ; Catch up time I guess. I have permission to rp Kohl a bit.)) Jypsum and Kohl had decided against joining the storming of the inn. Kohl had simply said it wasn't her problem, and Jypsum had logic'd that there were quite enough trainers helping already (which is code for "I'd rather not get killed, kthx"). They'd settled near the treeline, watching the trainers go in, then come out with at least twice their number. "So that's why it's been so quiet." Jypsum has muttered. Then the shield came up. Then the tear gas. Then the grumpig. Kohl had been greatly amused by that. Jypsum, not so much. Then the missiles. That's when Kohl finally relented to escaping to the forest.
When they got to the clearing, Jypsum detached herself from Kohl, telling the tanned young woman that she'd be back but had to find her sister's raichu.
@Moto Which turned out to be rather easy. Just follow the skittering hat. Apparently, Kiyo had left his top-hat full of a sleeping Casanova when he went to help Luna with the Rockets. "Raichu rai!" he squeaked with relief when Jypsum picked him up. "What the- did you steal that kid's hat?" the girl said accusingly. "Cha chau! Rai raichu." he harrumphed, having not appreciated being left behind by the young magician. "Well, we better take it back to him anyway. ...Jeeze, is this all your fur?"

After having successfully scrounged a dinner for Emily and her Onix, Corn was pretty dang quick to fall asleep. She didn't get to hear the incredibly brief story about the shrine, or to see the shadow that was lurking around the clearing, watching over them. She did wonder, as she fell asleep, if her offering would be there when she woke up...
Of course, it was morning again all too soon. She really didn't want to wake up at the crack of dawn today, but there was little point in trying to snuggle deeper into the grass, plush as it might seem. Sighing, she sat up and looked around groggily. Be nice to not eat jerky, dried fruit and hard tack for at least one meal, she thought. Wonder if there is/will be a group with something to spare.

Mornings may not have been Oyumi's forte, but this particular one came upon her rather gently. Between the warmth of Rhia still sleeping next to her, and the peaceful atmosphere provided by the clearing, she'd managed to get her first good night's sleep in days. And a good night's sleep had always been vital to her ability to wake up early...
That's what found her slowly getting up not long after the sun had begun to rise, absently stretching and crawling out of her sleeping bag. She was careful not to disturb the sleeping girl next to her, and wandered towards the lake as soon as she was able. She wanted nothing more than to strip down and go for a nice cleansing swim, and for a while it was all she could do to resist this urge. After a few minutes, she shot a quick glance around the clearing and grinned.
Almost everyone was still asleep... No one could possibly mind if she went for a quick swim in her underwear, right? (Of course, her 'underwear' wasn't particularly revealing, consisting of a rather concealing full cloth chest binding and similarly wrapped cloth shorts.) It was that thought that compelled her to eagerly strip out of her tunic and pants, leaving them neatly folded on the shore as she dove into the lake.
And oh did the feel of crisp, cool water feel wonderful against her skin.

Carter had spent the evening at the edge of the clearing, isolated from the few friends he had made by a dense covering of foilage. Alone he was left to joust with his demons, forced to relive the events of his capture over and over again. But even worse had been the continual screenplay of his past, intruding upon every aspect of yesterday's memories, mingling together until it became one event. His failure, his capture, Yero's doomed fight. It was all too much; every time he faced the Rocket's he failed.
The anger had been like poison, keeping him awake in the night, tossing and turning against the cold ground he had chosen as his punishment. So when the sun began to rise he greeted it head on, dark circles bagging beneath reddened eyes. What a wonderful way to start a day. With a heavy sigh the retired officer pushed himself to his feet, brushing off leaves and dirt from the Rocket pants he was still wearing. What he needed more than anything right now was a nice hot shower, or even a cold bath, either one would do, just something to purge himself of the dust from the Rocket's jail cell.
Blue eyes cast about the makeshift campsite, but it seemed that most of the inhabitants were enjoying a restful sleep. How could they in such a time?! But then he had always been told his coping skills were below par. He brushed the judgement away and skirted through sleeping bodies towards the water nearby.
As the lake came into view he stripped himself of the soiled white undershirt and tossed the rocket pants aside. It was only when he entered the lake, clothed only in a wifebeater and a pair of boxers that he realized he was not alone.
"Oyumi?!"

The sound of another voice not far behind her startled Oyumi more than she'd anticipated. She jumped slightly, or did the closest thing to jumping she was capable of chest-deep in lake water, and quickly turned around. The sight of Carter soothed her a bit - at the very least it was someone she was familiar with.
"Hey Carter... How'd you sleep?"
Right... Talking to a guy while in your underwear in a lake? Totally normal.

Carter chuckled at Oyumi's surprise, but managed to turn beat red when he realized she was just in her underwear. Immediately he turned sideways, averting his eyes out of respect with a small eep. He could tell her the truth, but that was rather complicated.
"Not too bad for sleeping in the middle of a clearing besieged by Rockets." Yes, besieged. He laughed darkly and dove under, allowing the crisp water to engulf him completely, when he resurfaced, he looked at his companion once more, keeping his eyes trained on her face.
"It's dangerous to be out here alone...A rocket could nab you or something...Say weren't you with Rhia?"

Oyumi almost smiled at the noise Carter made as he turned around. Even if she didn't mind him seeing her like this, it was nice to know he was polite.
"Yeah. I know what you mean," she added lightly, even if she didn't completely. She could tell with a single glance that he hadn't slept well, and she could understand why. She doubted she'd been able to sleep well either if she'd been captured...
"Rhia was still sleeping when I got up. I didn't want to wake her up just yet... She didn't sleep too well the past couple days, you know?"

@ Anyone
Peering out from within her cocoon of a sleeping bag, Lumina listened to the voices murmuring around her. She stretched long and slowly, emerging from sleep to greet the chill morning air. The watcher suspected the weather would hit the high numbers again, so she took a moment to enjoy the coolness that they were granted by the shady trees.
She pulled out her pokeball, staring at it and felt herself washed with joy all over again, "I still don't know what name would be fitting for you. Probably wouldn't appreciate the name chocolate swirl, huh." Lumina laughed at the ball, "But I mean it as a compliment. You looked like a perfect afternoon treat followed by a drink of some chai t--"
Without any intentions on Lumina's part, the ball open with an audible pop, the light revealing the very eevee she had just been talking to.
It occurred to the watcher just then that this eevee was the one to see them before they had arrived in town, as well had escaped from Team Rocket who knew how many times. For an escape artist like that, a pokeball would be no trouble.
"Vee, e-vee!" The little brown furball chirped at her, blue eyes watching her own face with a playful expression.
"I hadn't.." Lumina stumbled over her words, still surprised to see her own pokemon. The eevee rolled once, then pranced forward again, "Well, I was just saying you looked like a treat that'd go with a drink, tea like chai and,"
The eevee chirped again, resting her head on Lumina's lap, "Chai? Shall I call you Chai, then?" She laughed, the eevee flitting away again with a happy trill.
Standing up, Lumina rolled up her sleeping bag and packed up, eating another of those nasty meal bars, "I only have a few poke-treats, but hopefully we'll resolve this whole Team Rocket mess and I can get you some more at the store." The watcher explained, kneeling down and putting the blocks onto her own plate for Chai.
Peering back up at the group, Lumina gave a warm morning smile, "Good morning, everyone."

((@ Mist, Nyoko, and Speaker!))
Rhia slowly woke up, not feeling so much as a lingering moment of sleep. She smiled and sat up, looking around the clearing. Others had apparently followed in her footsteps, and although she hadn't meant to fall asleep when she had, she couldn't deny the blessing of a full night's (almost) uninterrupted rest. The green haired girl looked at Oyumi's empty sleeping bag and immediately began searching-- without moving-- for her friend. She was finally forced to stand, and caught sight of both Oyumi and Carter by the lakeside. Oh, a soak sounded heavenly.
Rhia looked up as Lumina greeted the general area and she offered a smile for her and an extra sweet one for her Eevee. "Hey. I think I'm going to head down to the lake and join Oyumi in getting an early bath before too many more people wake up." She winked as she gathered a towel and her bath items. "And it looks like your Eevee has something of a mind of its own. I'm glad the name you chose was met with approval."
Once sure she had everything, Rhia headed to the edge of the lake. She didn't want to soil the standing water with soap, but she could at least rub the dirt and sweat of the previous day from her skin. Not to mention whatever remnants of tear gas clung to her pores.
"Good morning!" She greeted cheerfully. She had grown attached quickly to them, but that wasn't odd for her. She had a friendly spirit, and it tended to mean she made acquaintances fast and friends just as quickly.
She blinked when she realized both had stripped down to their underwear to bathe, Oyumi's being particularly... different looking. Rhia wouldn't think "interesting," because it implied all sorts of things she didn't mean. Of course they wouldn't have bathing suits. She didn't either, did she? Although she managed to keep her face neutral, her cheeks quickly flushed with color and she cleared her throat once. To distract her and help her get her bearings again, she dropped her items at the lakeside and dropped her vest with it.
"Do you mind an extra body?"
