"Finally, we catch a break!" Kasiya wailed, mopping the sweat from her forehead with her glove. "Okay Seto! Use your Fury Swipes!"
"Perrr!" Seto growled loudly, and dashed forward. As he reached his opponent, he reared up, swiping several times with his sharp front claws.

"A CHARIZARD!" Keegan practically yelled, hardly noticing the dirty looks Mike was shooting him. "Wow..so magnificent!" he beamed.
Here we go, Electrike rolled his eyes.
Vulpix took a few uneasy steps towards the other Vulpix, trembling slightly as he did.

Upon hearing Keegan's remark, Nitro jumped into a majestic pose, wings outright, and shooting fire into the sky. A wily smirk left his face as did a toothy grin. "I'm the man." said the Charizard following his little display.
"That's great, feed his ego. He's too much like his trainer." Portabello remarked, giving a hopeless sigh. "Yeesh."

Vixen noticed two Pokemon waving to her. She put up her paw and waved back.
Ryka saw the two Pokemon walk over. They were the two pokemon from before, the Charizard and the Breloom. "Oh, hello there!" Ryka greeted them. "Would you like to sit down?" She asked, beconing them to sit next to her.

Jaeshan knew Mighyena was done for after the barrage of claws the Persian just threw at him. His Pokemon collapsed slowly, to the side, panting in exhaustion. "Return," he said slightly, looking abashed. He'd been secretly hoping to take both her Pokemon out with Mightyena. "Now what...?" he thought bitterly, looking up to meet Kasiya's glance. She flashed him an impish grin, a 'hurry the hell up' sort of look in her eyes. After another moment of thought, he sent out Butterfree. I'll use Status attacks for this fight, he thought eagerly.

"Nowyou're just showing off," Keegan laughed. "But you're still awesome. "Wow, a Breloom. I've never seen one this close before," he smiled, thrilled at the new Pokemon he was meeting. He looked around, noticing Mike, who seemed 'displeased' with him. "Are these guys yours?" he asked, wondering where this hostility was stemming from.

Mike noticed that Keegan wasn't so bad and relaxed his scowl. "Yeah, they're mine." He said in a cheerful tone, jogging over to shake the new guy's hand. "Name's Mike, you are?" He stretched out his hand towards the young trainer.
The Charizard smiled at all the positive attention he was getting lately. Evolving is the best thing that's ever happened to me. He looked around to see Ryka offering him a seat, and gladly accepted the guesture and walked over and sat beside his new friend, thrilled at how good of a mood he was in.
Portabello sat there, fixed on the fight, picking up pointers on how the combatents move and the looks of their muscles before attacks.

Butterfree! she thought excitedly. He has no clue that Seto knows Thunderbolt! This match is MINE! she did her best to conceal her nearly preemptively-triumphant grins. "Okay Seto! Let's get this overgrown butterfly with a Faint Attack!"
Seto gave a low growl, and started to run forwards, before vanishing and reappearing right above the airborne Butterfree, attacking it at point blank range.

"Keegan," he said, figuring Mike had missed it when he introduced himself earlier. He took his hand, and shook it. A good, firm handshake, Keegan thought, impressed. "It's nice to meet you."

"Nice," Jaeshan said admirably, before he suddenly remembered that it was HIS Butterfree who'd just been attacked. He grumbled to himself, hoping nobody had picked up on that, and ordered Butterfree to perform her Psybeam attack.
Buttefree gave a high-pitched shriek and fired the rainbow-coloured beam at the nearby Persian.

"Same to you. I remember you say you were from Fortree, how long have you been a trainer?" Mike noticed the Vulpix nearly clinging to his trainer's legs. "Fire type, nice."

Ryka smiled at the Charizard sitting next to her. Although it was much bigger than her, Ryka felt friendliness in it. She looked up at him, and patted him on the shoulder.

"I said I just came from there, I never said that's where I'm actually from," he said, laughing slightly. "Actually, I'm from Lavaridge Town. Do you know it?" he asked.
Vulpix looked up at Mike and gave a grin, suddenly having second thoughts about visiting the Vulpix with that massive Charizard over there.

"That's a new trick," Kasiya gasped, watching Seto take the attack. He shook himself vigorously, and bared his fangs, obviously ready for more.
"Give it your Fury Swipes!" Kasyia called, keeping the Thunderbolt Ace up her sleeve for the time being.

Nitro ruffled the litte girl's hair in response to all the kindness. His tail whipping back ad forth displaying his mood.
The attentive Breloom sat perfectly still, surveying the scene. "Butterfrees are very obvious in their movements..." he trailed off.
Hearing his hometown Mike's gaze shot up. "You're from Lavaridge too? How come I never met you before?" he asked, suddenly curious.
