Owwin What does gamerscore even do? Can you get free Microsoft points from it or is it just a ploy by Microsoft to get you to play games in quantity over quality.
It's pretty much a "i'm better than you" kind of thing.
Though most of my friends have over 13K and i'm just getting to 6k.

Some avatar awards are from achievements, and things like Halo Waypoint count your score. Overall though it's just for show. I wouldn't say it focuses on quantity or quality. My overall gamerscore doesn't matter to me, but getting 1000/1000g in an amazing game does matter to me. Plus boosting your overall gamerscore encourages you to play games you wouldn't normally. Eragon's a terrible game, but it was a hilarious playthrough.
