And what do you play? Hello Kitty Island Adventure?
The wife and I both play, so it's all good, lol

I play games that I don't need to pay for every month inorder to kill a whole bunch of critters only to level up and kill the same type of critters that are only larger, different color and different name.

Granted I played WoW back when it came out for a year but I found it godly boring in the long run, even though I played it with friends.

Yeah, I can see what your saying there, I 'm not a big fan of the pay-to-play system either.
But, i play with the wife, and a bunch of people from here in town, so it's not all bad.
I'm just not like some people, like my cousin... I don't let the game rule my life at all.

Once I get a ps3 and MGS4 though, then I think its game over for Wow, lol

Only Metal Gear Solid game I found entertaining was Snake Eater myself, though I can't say I've tried MGS4 so that's not taken into consideration.

Personally, I'm a huge fan of the series.
I actually sat down and played through all teh games (excluding MGS4) in the actual time line order for the story line... Had to switch systems quite a few times haha, loved each game though.
Kinda pumped to play the new final fantasy game as well... Desptie the fac tthat I know nothing of that game at all, just again, a fan of the series, lol

So, I was sitting here at work, and I get an email from Blizzard, saying my account password was changed... Having one of those 'Wtf?!" moments, I go to the Wow website and try and login.... And can't. So, I try the battle.net site... Again, can't login.
I go to the armory and check my characters... All my best toons have been stripped of the gear.... I'm pretty pissed right now

So far accoring to teh armory website my
Level 80 Deathknight which was fully equipped with TOC and H-TOC gear, with over 1.5K in gold, has been cleaned out
Level 70 Priest, which I just brought into Northrend has been cleaned out
Level 71 Warlock, which for the past dew weeks, I have been pumping hours, upon hours of work into (Warlock is my fav class, and I was itching to get this guy to 80, to I put on a major grind) has been cleaned the hell out.

I'm actually so pissed that I'm in a state of calmness, and my co-worker says I'm scaring the s**t outta him

that blows =(

on the good side, the GM's are pretty good about getting that looked in to within about 24 hours, though most of the gear and stuff will likely not be returned. TwT

to quote a post I made on my guild website
"got my account back up and running today shortly after noon. the Blizzard phone support was actually very pleasant to deal with... Aside from the long hold time waiting to get through.
After a few questions for verification, they reset my pass and fired me off an email, and gave me some tips on how to avoid it in hte future... Clean the system of any spyware and what not, not going to certain websites, and being careful of Add-On's, even from good places like Curse.
Once done with the phone conversation, I was instructed to contact the in game support for the restoral of my gold and items.
So I logged in, put a ticket in, and about 2 hours, maybe 2 and half I got contacted by a GM.
We went over the situation, and they informed me that my case has already been submitted to have everything restored (the phone agent submitted it for me), but alas it will take rough 81 hours (from noon yesterday) until I get all my stuff back. Better then nothing though.

I have reset my password, with a very secure password, and cleaned my system. I am also going to shell out the few bucks to get both myself and Alarana the Blizzard Authenitactor(sp?) With one of those units, the account it is linked to is almost un-hackable. And for only 6.50, I'd say its worth it.

Will I keep playing the game? Yes, I have no reason to quit. Sure, the situation was very, very shitty, and until my things get restored, it will remain shitty. But hell, htats life for ya, s**t happens and life goes on. I look at it as just a case of bad luck. After all there is a few billion accounts out there, it was just bad luck that I got hit.

Also I would like to note, if anyone finds themself in a situation where they have to contact Blizzard, by it by phone, e-mail or in game, be nice to them. The long waits and long response times can be frustrating, but look at it from their ponit of few. With over a billion accounts, at any given time there can be thousands, upon thousands of trouble tickets, emails and phones calls going into their offices. They can only work so fast."

Also, after speaking with phone support, in game support and doing some research on the forms, it looks like I should get 90% of my stuff back, since the info was sumbitted right away. After that if anything is missing I just have to compile a list of what is still missing and they will get it.

You can say alot of things about Blizzard but they do have good customer support.

Regardless I favor Valve as they love and respect the fans as much as the fans love and respect Valve.
