Ikasu was discouraged when Taka-sensei said that no weapons were allowed. It looked as if this fight might actually be some kind of a challenge after all. Unsure of how his own taijutsu skills would match up, he tried to get every advantage he could by attacking first. He hoped that the element of surprise would give him an advantage, but even so, he knew that his hand-to-hand training was definitely lacking, so he would need luck along with skill in order to win this fight. As Mizuiro stepped up and claimed that he would fight Ikasu, Ikasu leapt into action and tried to bring the boys balance off by sweeping his feet out from under him. By kicking out his front leg in an effort to do this, Ikasu hoped that his subtle attack would hit home.

(( Gaia's RNG doesn't allow me to go below 1 so I'll just assume that even though my Str. Modifier is -1, the lowest I can do on a hitting attack is 1 anyway? Like a "minimum", if you will. )) Even Ikasu was surprised as his kick landed perfectly and caused Mizuiro to fall on his butt. Chuckling at his ingenius plan of action, Ikasu felt very content. Whichever way the battle went now, it would be remembered that he struck the first blow successfully. It would be nice to win the fight and possibly the respect of his other teammates, but just knowing that he had hit first kind of already made Ikasu proud. He knew that Sukauto was watching on the sidelines, and if she could talk or even make coherent sounds, would be cheering him on. Not wanting to fail and embarass himself in front of his classmates, Ikasu made his body snap to attention as he stood upright, ready to defend against Mizuiro's move.

Mizuiro didn't like the surprise attack one bit, He got up instantly and attacked back straight away. He went for a punch to Ikasu's face, so as to disorientate him as best he could. Mizuiro's punch hit hard, making a cracking sound upon the face of Ikasu. But it was not his hand that was cracking, it was Ikasu's face. He saw blood squirt out from his mouth as the kid fell back to the ground. Mizuiro did a kind of dance like most fighters do after knocking down the opponent. But it wasn't a dance of victory, it was a dance of keeping warm, of excitement, of wanting more. "Get up!"
5 + str mod 2 = 7.

Hearing a crack afer Mizuiro's punch connected with his face, he knew that he had broken his bone. Ignoring the pain, he responded to Mizuiro's taunt to get up and tried to tackle him down so that he could land a few punches and end the fight early, but luck wasn't with Ikasu. Right as he got up, he knew that he wouldn't make it. The pain and dizziness from that last hit caused him to sway back and forth and almost fall down in agony. Almost limping forward, he staggered towards Mizuiro but missed the tackle by just a few inches. He was now almost entirely at the mercy of the Hoshigaki, and he knew that neither of them could take very many hits, but he was ready to go down fighting.

Wanting to keep this as even as possible, Ikasu knew that he had to keep his footing and not let the fight go to the ground. He wriggled out of the hold and attempted to twist Mizuiro's arm to make him submit. Through the awkward stance that he had to take to get out of the grapple, Ikasu couldn't get a firm hold on Mizuiro's arm, and they were once again at a standstill.

Akemi returned, sopping wet with a trickle of blood on his bottom jaw. Apparently Mizuiro had won the fight. He looked to Taka and asked, "Mind if I get next round? I don't think I'm ready for the clan jutsu just yet actually." He looked at his clansman and said, "That is unless he thinks he'll get his a** handed to him again." Akemi looked at Mizuiro with a smug face, "I suspect he'll back down in fear of defeat though, cant say I blame him." Obviously he was trying to provoke the kid.
((I can nearly double my chakra pool if I level up, soooooo I need 74 right now and you need to grade my strength training Gid. Hopefully a few rounds of fighting puts me over the edge.))

Mizuiro's fist collided with Ikasu's stomach like a torpedo! it sunk in deep before the kid started to fly backwards. Mizuiro was in amazement how he such a punch, but he was obviously because this kid had barely any strength compared to him for resistance. Mizuiro smirked as the boy feel to the ground with a thud.

Ikasu's HP: 13-8=5 (( the dice and RNG hate me -__- )) Ikasu was momentarily distracted as the other ruder Hoshigaki was saying something. In the split second that it took ikasu to re-focus his attention back on the fight, Mizuiro had already taken advantage of his confusion and slipped a punch past his defenses and into hit gut. Regrettably, Ikasu couldn't do anything except stagger backward and try to regain his balance. After doing so, Ikasu lunged forward and aimed for Mizuiro's face. If he himself had been knocked off guard by a dizzying punch to the face, then so could Mizuiro. Ikasu tripped over his own feet as he was so unused to the rigors of close combat fighting, and he missed Mizuiro yet again. If only this fight had been allowed to use ranged weaponry, he was sure that he could beat his opponent.

Mizuiro caught his opponent from falling. He was a little disappointed in this fight, he seemed to have the natural talent for taijutsu, while his opponent didn't. He thought of what to do for a bit, tell Taka that this fight was over, or make sure it was actually over. He then pushed Ikasu back from him and then got ready for the final blow.

Mizuiro clenched his fist, and stepped side to side building up momentum. He then leaped forward, everything seemed to be going in slow motion, as if this was the final time this kind would stand. His fist went straight for the knock out blow to the face, it was inevitable Ikasu would be in critical condition after this moment. He then felt his fist collide with this kid's face, and heard the cracking of bone. It was menacing, it was terrifying, it was incredible.
Mizuiro smirked.
