Rune nodded. "Yeah I can use something to snack on..." she replied smiling at Veronica. 'but I wonder who broke in...' Rune thought. "Hey I'm going to go to my room really quickly." the fairy called out as she headed up the stairs to her room. She wanted to make sure none of her stuff was missing.

The Captain was enraged but something came to mind that put a smile on his face. Rather then answer Cobra he simply asked,

"You say all that but well, tell me, what exactly went on with what you planned to report? Had none of your kind caused harm?"

"There was certainly evidence to that effect at the scene. Given what I saw, the damage looked like it was caused by a single individual, all of the scrapes, marks, and cuts were made by something extremely sharp and heavy. There must have been some elemental behind the unfortunate killings, but their association to us is an accident. We had nothing to do with that person, they simply happened to be found near our house when they went ballistic on the troops you keep sending to investigate us. I was merely reporting the incident myself to exonerate us from situation."

Cobra lifted his head up slightly after the last line and stared very intently into the Captain's eyes..."Perhaps, if you were to just leave us alone, and stop sending guards to our house, none of this would have happened. Just what are you after anyways?"

The Captain rose and was heading out. Before being out of sight he said,

"We aim to have peace restored in this area. With your kind around, chaos has begun. You may not be evil but you're linked to the problem. For all I care, you can just rot in here."

He left.

"We aim to have peace restored in this area. With your kind around, chaos has begun. You may not be evil but you're linked to the problem. For all I care, you can just rot in here."

He left.

”A classic response of the ignorant…save the body by cutting off the poisoned limb. He thinks it’ll solve the problem, but it will only make it worse. It’s only when an animal is hunted that it becomes most dangerous. I need to warn the others.”

Cobra waited until the Captain and the remaining guards were gone and well out of site. Standing up, Cobra looked around. The room was in near pitch darkness, save for a glimmer of light that seeped through a crack in the stairway leading down. Adjusting his body and stretching quickly after having sat for so long, Cobra tilted his neck to the side and cracked it before getting ready to leave. If these men thought that they could hold an earth elemental prisoner in a stone dungeon, they were dumber then they looked. Closing his eyes and concentrating, Cobra placed his hands on the wall and focused for about a minute until his body gained a slight glow all around him. The aura radiated for a few seconds before disappearing, passing into him as he began to communicate with the rock and stone that made up his cell and the surrounding area until finally, his hands moved into the wall, merging with it and moving through it as if it were a screen of water to him. Inch after inch, Cobra pushed his body into the wall, until after about 15 seconds, he was fully merged into the wall and was able to see all around him in about 100 feet in all directions as if all solid matter were semi-transparent to him.

After a few minutes of walking through the earth, Cobra suddenly saw Straven walking through the sewers. He didn’t really care for the man, or his lifestyle and what it represented, but from their last encounter, it was clear he was an elemental user…he deserved to be warned just like everyone else. Moving downward, Cobra found a section of the sewer which had been repaired not by steel, but with stone and used it to make his way into the sewer. As Straven walked within the pipes, Cobra could be seen suddenly emerging from the wall, his body coming directly through what would appear to be solid stone (and in fact was) until he was standing directly in his path.

”Wherever you’re going, or whatever you’re doing, I would warn you…this city is on the brink of war against people like us. We need to start watching our backs.”

Straven smiled as he saw Cobra.
"Watching my back you say? I've been doing that for a looooong time now."
Straven continued walking, expecting Cobra to follow him.
"I must say though...You're one of the first to find my hideout.."
He turned around.
"Ohh..Where's my hospitality now.., Feel free to stay, now that you're here anyways. Can I help you perhaps? Anything, I'm sure I can do it."

If they would walk a bit further, they'd arive in one of the large halls, in wich many people were sleeping on the ground, eating out of a can, Or drinking beer out of filthy glass. You could easily see that these were the poor people that live in Paris. Straven had given them shelter, but it wasn't exactly luxery that he lived in himself either.

Cobra followed Straven at his beckoning, curious to see his "hideout", and was somewhat stunned to find many people living down here. He cast a quick look to Straven and surveyed the room, looking at the people and immediately feeling bad for them. Looking back at Straven, he suddenly felt a great change in how he saw the man. He may disagree with how Straven did things, but he was certainly doing what he did for the right reason, perhaps more so out of desperation to provide for as many people as possible. A time of trouble was coming up for elemental users in the city, who knew really who would be hunted down eventually. The knights had never seen him use any powers, and had arrested and locked him up for merely being linked to the others...who knows what could happen to innocent people in the light of such an event. Someone like Straven would be a powerful ally as an underground resistance and refuge.

"Yes, in fact, there is something you can do for me Straven. Keep up the good work down here. If my assumptions are correct, and if you'll excuse the hubris, they are...more people will need refuge. You know as well as I do that elemental powers exist within people on a much larger number of individuals then most know of. In many, the powers never awaken, but when they do, those newly born to the powers are like children, and the knights will now be hunting them. Can you be a refuge for those people? You've been fighting this longer then I have apparently, but perhaps not on the scale I'm talking about. My companions and I will most likely be forced to leave for a while, but in the meantime, we may need your help to hold Paris together. With the chaos of the knights rounding up suspicious "elemental" users, the poor and innocent will most likely be unfairly arrested. We could use a strong underground ally if we're going to be able to survive around here."

..."What do you say Straven?...are you up to it?"
, Cobra held his hand out in a handshake, waiting for Straven's response to see if they would join forces to survive and harbor a resistance to the knights int he city. If Paris were to be a free place for elementals to live, they would need someone who knew it well and was already fighting for the lowest of its citizens.

Straven gave him a nod, and reached out to shake a hand.
For a moment, he waited. He quickly reached underneath his cape, and reached for his gun. He took out a bullet.
Then put the gun back. He then shook his hand, and while doing this, putting the bullet in Cobra's hand. It more or less meant 'Got your back'.

"Anyone in need of shelter is free to come here. There are enough weapons. And we manage to get more supplies if we must.

Also....There are a few knight uniforms in the costume room. We might be able to infiltrate.."

Straven winked from under his mask.

((Whoops, wrong account))

Cobra accepted the handshake and the bullet happily, he was fairly certain that Straven would agree to the idea anyways, but it was nice to have an official confirmation of it. "Perhaps they could be useful, but at the moment, I have to go warn the others. Before we leave, I will stop by here with some supplies and what I can spare from the house...no doubt in our absence it would be demolished anyways. I will bring whatever I can, and perhaps I can add a few things here and there to make the sewers more habitable. I'm sure that you all get by with no complaints, but a few creature comforts, or rather, nature comforts would do well for people's moral."

..."Is there anything else you would need from me before I leave?", Cobra said as he ended the hand shake and placed the bullet in a hidden compartment within his sleeve, waiting for Straven to say the last word.

Straven thought for a few seconds, and then replied.
"Not really. Make sure that no one sees you leave this place though..."

Straven trusted that Cobra would do no harm, so he just walked away.
He went to a large and clean chamber. This was Straven's bedroom.
He layed down on the bed, and stared at the 'ceiling'.. And began to think.
Maybe this was a trick? I doubt it.
How the hell did that guy get in here though?
He must've been underground already. But where?

Rune walked into her room and it only took a few minutes to make sure nothing was missing and let out a relieved sigh. "Well thats god..." she said quietly to herself as she headed back down the stairs and into the kitchen, to see Veronica already starting to make something with the food she had bought.

Allure nodded at Salem and Erin.

"Be careful. We wont be far. Send a signal somehow if you need help."

In the next second, Allure's skin went to demon form and she grabbed Salem and launched the both of them onto the tavern roof. When immediately touching the ground she sprinted while still holding Salem on her back, careful not to touch him though that was the most she could do. She didn't have time to hold back which led for an uncomfortable ride. After passing a dozen roofs she slowed and drifted to the floor. Massive wind control was used through out. When they reached the bottom of the desserted ally she stumbled. Such force nearly drained her for the time being.
You can't take the sky from me.

Salem stood and brushed some frost of his sleeves.
" I would be lying if I said that wasn't the oddest ride Ive ever had." He smiled, trying to hide his lingering grief over what happened to the girl in the tavern.
He helped Allure sit down against a wall.
" Sit. You need to rest for a few minutes."

Allure nodded and was gasping for air. That maneuver was the most wind power she'd ever used at once. Yelling could still be heard from a ways off.
"I wonder if Erin's okay...
Ugh, we need to find somewhere safe."
You can't take the sky from me.

Salem nodded and walked out to the street, he looked around to get his bearings then came back to Allure.
" luckily I know where we are, theres an orphanage near here I use as a safe house from time to time. We can hide there for a short time before we meet with your companions."

Allure smiled.

"Sounds great. I'm unfamiliar with it though so please lead the way."

Allure appeared better though not necessarily well.

((Back at Veronica's House))

The Fire Demon Warrior, Clarissa, stealthily entered where the young fairy had been. She figured that girl would be a Elemental but had only been following Allure's movements for a short while. Once knowing her location, Clarissa and her companion, the Ice Demon Soldier, waited for an oppertunity where Allure's allies would be left. With only two at the house, they took the chance.

She crept into the fairy girl's room to look for as much information that she could on the girl. Her footsteps were light until she stumbled. Her movements were careless as she sped through the Fairy girl's room.

Meanwhile, right beyond the kitchen stood the Snow Demon Soldier, Alicia. She listened in to what went on inside hoping to gather information on where Allure was and waiting for a chance to enter.

Just before Rune was about to walk in and enter the kitchen and help Veronica with making something, she stopped when she suddenly heard some noise coming from upstairs. 'The hell!? I just left there and someone sneaked in!?' she thought to herself as she turned around and ran back up the stairs.

You can't take the sky from me.

Salem lead her a few blocks south , then a block east to an old three story building. The paint had mostly chipped away, showing the black rotted wood underneath. most of the window panes were broken, and the steel on the doorknob and knocker were grayed with age.
He lead her up the stairs and knocked on the door.

They heard shuffling on the other side, followed by the locks unlatching. The door creaked slowly open. An old woman in her mid seventies stood there smiling, her gray dress tattered and patched many times, her gray hair was tied tightly back in a ponytail. Behind her around two dozen children, ranging from a boy who looked about Fifteen , to a baby one of the young girls held in her arms.
They were all dressed in the same shotty clothing as the old woman.
She looked him up and down and scratched her head.
The old woman's eyes widened as did her smile when she recognized Salem. She threw her arms around him tilting her head to avoid contact with his face. She stepped back and held his shoulders. looking him up and down.
"By god's Grace! Salem ?! "
She threw her arms back around him and held on to him crying.
Salem smiled and looked at Allure.
" Allure, meet Vivi, my sister."
