Mephlius smiled. "Do you wanna go back?" Amnity thought for a minute. Maybe it was just her weirdness again. Moments like this with Mephlius were precious, and she wanted to savor them while they lasted....But even still...She didn't feel too well. She just felt the sudden urge to leave despite the moment they're having together. "I...I don't know Mephlius....We could stay I suppose." Amnity replied, hoping that her discomfort wasn't visible in her voice. ((Bwahaha!!! ninja ))

Amnity shook her head. She decided that she wouldn't let this little disturbance ruin the evening. Immediately, she changed her attitude and tried her best to put on a smile. "Yeah, I'm fine, I don't even feel weird anymore!" God please forgive me for that lie.

Layna smiled softly back at Ceon. "It's a fleeting thing, is it not?" She murmured, stroking her son's black hair. He was so calm and sweet as he slept in her arms.

Ceon hugged Layna's head against his bare chest, "There is nothing that could possibly ruin this night, love." Ceon let his thoughts wander for a moment. "You know what? You're friend, Cynder, was right. We haven't gone on an actual date since you were pregnant with Gabriel."

"Maybe we could get Sibyl to be the babyitter once we tell her that she's the godmother." Ceon stroked Layna's hair and then traced his finger down to her shoulder. He leaned his head down and nipped Layna's ear, "I love you, Marissa..." Ceon's eyes grew wide and he put a hand to his mouth when he realized the mixup in names.

Layna looked up at him, perplexed. "Marissa? Was that your wife...?" She murmured. She wasn't upset, just mildly surprised. She was rather touched that he should call her the name of his late wife.

Layna grabbed onto his hand, intertwining her fingers in his. "Relax. It's alright. Do I seem even the slightest bit upset?" She asked quietly, her eyes looking up at him.

Ceon looked at Layna and sighed in relief that she wasn't mad. "Sorry, don't know what came over me." Ceon kissed her lightl on the lips and Gabriel woke and began to teethe on Layna's sleeve, his first baby tooth coming in. A small tear rolled down Gabriel's cheek from the pain of the tooth.
