Time was up.
Cain and Vitis unarmored themselves and shook hands. Yes they were sweating but hey, they were sparring for two hours straight.
Cain felt a familiar aura. He looked up at Galumn and Karia, "I didn't see you two there." He smiled.
Vitis nodded. "Where is your pupil, Galumn?"
"Back at his own home. This goddess here wants to speak with you two gentlemen."
"Alright then, Karia. What is it that you wanted to talk about?" Cain asked ans both he and Vitis came up to them.

"Well..." she looked down, "It's about Feel. I think he's fallen in love with a young half demon named Kartia." She said. "I have reason to believe that they as long as he is under my watch and is trainned by my brother, Kenren Taisho, and Tenpo Gensui, he will be well trainned. I will also take it up with my aunt. I'm sure that you will understand that the support of someone like Kartia may help him train harder." She said.

"Actually, I think that might put a lot of stress on him. One mentor is enough, having three might be over doing it." Cain looked a tad bit serious. Yes he was concern for his son but, geeze! Gods training a young Zenith? That's would mean a lot of pressure from his Zenith and Katena peers, gods. . . basically just about anyone.
"Considering the fact that they are gods is another issue as well. I don't see why it takes three gods to train one Zenith."

"Hmm. this is true...three gods and Kenren is enough in himself." Kaira frowned. "But Kartia is also very worried about Feel too. Isn't there anything we can do?" She asked.

"I don't really know. Switching mentors is out of the question because there are so few of us." Cain sighed.

"I see...but must Feel come here to train? I'm not sure how long it will take, but is there anything we can do so that Feel may come and at least see her sometimes?" She asked.

The Katena and Zenith looked at each other.
"I think that part entirely depends on the mentor on normal situations. However, we've been getting reports that Zeniths and Katenas alike are being killed off outside of Etheria. We don't know how or why but needless to say, he is safer here in Etheria." Cain explained.
"Yeah, the whole issue of the revival of Beliar are getting a lot of people riled up. Those who want Beliar back are taking out the Zeniths and Katenas." Galumn added.
"Perhaps id Kartia isn't too far away from Etheria, then maybe the two can see each other." Vitis suggested the compromise.

"That's a perfect idea" Kaira said with a smile. There have been some odd reports too, the party that Feel was traveling with lost a person from what I could sense...I have reason to believe it's Roa again..." she said looking at Cain. "That is another problem...." She now looked a little more serious, "Kartia also has a piece of Beliar without knowing it. I still don't think she knows it either." She said

"Wait..." Kenren was now looking for the spine. He'd been feeling the aura for sometime now...

The three looked like the compromise wasn't going to work.
"So that was the demented aura I felt. . ."
"Then I'm afraid that Feel can't really go out to see her. Having a piece of Beliar is fine but. . . . That and Roa is just a death sentence." Cain sighed and shook his head.
"I suppose the range of our compromise is shortened." Vitis frowned a bit, "From what I've heard about Roa, he can take down an army of Zeniths with no problem if his current body is in excellent fighting condition."

The spine was scattered all over the place, deep inside Keiryu's corpse pieces. The aura was very faint now that the host was dead.

"I figured..." Kaira frowned. "The gods would protect her, but still....it's dangerous with Roa around...." She was now thinking, "And if he can take out Zeniths like you say, the gods don't even stand a chance..." She looked away for a moment in thought. . . what could they do now? "The only way to make it save is to rid her of the body part that is tainted....but that would mean giving it up to them...." She was refering to the judges. Her face paled. "And I'm sure that the only person who can stop him is Kenren, but that would mean having to harm his loved one.

Kenren was pulling out peices of the spine and he frowned, "No wonder...The spine of Beliar"

"So it's a lose-lose situation." Cain looked sad. "It's either Feel can't see Kartia or Kenren hurting his lover."

"Oh, so I didn't have to kill him after all." The Judge Pharaoh has just arrived. "I suppose that is bittersweet news but. . . . I think you have two things that belong to us." He eyed the bloody chopped up spine and Kartia's leg. "The spine is useless to you. You can part well with it."
"Who the hell are you?" Dolores got her mana circuits ready.
"Dear Isis. . . . You don't remember me?" Pharoah tilted his head.
"Wha?"

"Indeed that would make things easier for this compromise."

"Galumn, you stay here with Feel. Cain and I will go talk to their group." Vitis looked at the Zenith.
Galumn nodded and then left.
"Lead the way, Lady Karia."
