Adalaide grinned as she barely came away with the ball, taking off to the other side of the field, hoping she'd do as well as last game and make it across for a goal. The Gryffindor team had been tough, but they'd also seemed a bit off, which made Ada wonder if she'd really done as well as she felt like she did. She felt like she needed to prove herself, and this was the game to do it.

But her misty eyes hadn't caught a wisp of gold, so she didn't bother to turn and chase her. It could have been a bluff, a rouse, or maybe she just needed to stop thinking so much, that's why she prefered to duel, it was so much more carnal and instinct than luck. Which is what she felt like she was lacking in as she ripped down the side of the pitch near the stands. Nothing had caught her eye yet, until a raging bludger nearly skimmed right over her head. Of course, this was Hufflepuff, she'd been warned about this. She narrowed her body, lying against her broom, and raced off high in the sky.

”Kill you?” Dominic feigned an expression of pure shock and denial. ”Me? Never!” He smirked, and idly swerved to try and intercept her shot, but it swung over his head and narrowly caught Belle’s robes behind him. ”I’d be bored out here without you Hawthorn!” He smirked, flexed his wrist as he rolled his bat in the air, and readied himself for the rogue bludger that darted his way. It zigzagged across the field, still spinning from a shot descended upon it from a previous beater by the time that Dominic had gotten to it. All the same, his vision darted around the field before he set his sights upon the chaser and lined himself up for the shot. At the last lingering second, he threw his arm back and hurled the tightened muscle forward to strike a bludger into Adalaide’s side.

She cringed at the though of ever being hit by one of those things. They looked like they could smash your face in and kill you! Dominic had to resist the urge to bite down on his tongue. The seekers were out of his sights and the keepers held their ground in anticipation, but the beaters had just been waiting for him, so it seemed. His shot barreled straight for Ada, but the crack of wood caught his attention. Tobi skidded to a halt in front of his petite chaser, and slammed the iron ore straight back to him. He couldn't even curse out in surprise, there was no time to. But he cringed and braced himself, let the force slam into his abdomen, steal every ounce of oxygen, make him cough, choke. He hoped Darius was having better luck.

 Amanda groaned when her pass was intercepted by Dhylan. She flew after the Hufflepuff chasers, getting ready to steal the quaffle back. The blonde grinned when Edajin succeeded in stealing the it back, so she turned around and headed towards the Hufflepuff's goal posts. The next moment, Adalaide stole it, so it was once again in the hands of the Puffs. Amanda flew closer to Adalaide before reaching out and trying to pull the quaffle out of her hands.

Annabelle swerved and dived, her vision was tossed over her shoulder, and she only just barely noticed the gold little snitch fluttering in front of Ariana. The Hufflepuff seeker was so close to it, Belle cursed as she ripped her broom back, whipped around, and with a flash was on her tail. She thrust herself forward, tightened her fingers around the handle of her broom as she raced after her. Nimble turns and keen agility had kept her on Ariana's tail, hopefully, Belle's presence would be enough to distract her so she could steal in for the snitch.

Dominic had taken a moment to recover; he hovered in as defense, always flanked nearby his chasers just in case any of the opposing beaters had decided to take a swing. He snarled, the sting of the bludger was still fresh, still blatantly bothersome. But it was too early on in the game to do anything about it, he couldn’t ignore it, not until the adrenaline had kicked in. He swerved back and forth in tune with the chasers, the nimble dance for possession of the quaffle until it finally seemed that Slytherin had taken it for good. He glanced back around, and already, the seekers were racing for the lead on the snitch that he swore he thought he caught a glimpse of as they raced overhead. With dark, fiery hair lined up in high sight, he swung his bat into a barreling bludger to target Ariana.
