Cap approached Ben and placed his hand on his shoulder. He knew this wouldn't be easy on him.
Well...you DID ask me to show you things that were important...this was important to you...but at least she slugged him pretty hard. And it looks like she didn't enjoy it...except for the blush at the end.
He was silent but kept his hand on Ben's back.

*Hikaru continued to hold his hand to his head as he started to feel a bit dizzy and he slid down the trunk and on to the ground. He laid there feeling quite sorry for himself.*

Ben felt hot tears rising in his eyes and soon he let them go. He sobbed lightly as he was trying to reason through it. His face was mixed with pain and confusion.
Why...didn't ...why didn't she...*sob* I...she...she could ...have told...me...but she...lied...why? I don't....GAAAAH!
Ben grabbed his hair and pulled down on it a little as he thought back to her face, to her smiles, her saying she loved him, all of these things hit him as if he was battling both the bad and the good.
She...just...needed...to...tell me...

Cap smirked as he saw his friend battling it out, he decided to react somewhat with a little humor, it was the least he could do.
Well..honestly dude...she probably didn't want to see you...umm...do this...but...I mean...she DID slug him...and she cursed him out...its not as bad as it seems....er...maybe it is...
Cap was glad he never had to deal with these love things, give him an ancient scroll and he would much rather read it than try to get a gril interested in him. He just patted Ben's shoulders and nodded in time.

Ben was quiet for a long time and he just watched the end of the images for a long time. His eyes hurt from the tears and he was dull. He honestly felt like he might be able to understand more of how Hikaru felt. After a while, he stood up and shook his head.
I don't really know...maybe it is as bad as it is... or maybe it isn't...whatever...but thanks for showing me this...I owe ya one...but...I need to go think...
He stood up and looked over at Cap.
I appreciate your help...keep it up...even if it sucks sometimes...

He nodded and pulled the orb from the water, it shatters just as those before it and Cap nodded. He turned and headed back toward his spot.
No problem...I will keep it up...look...don't hang yourself over this or something...just think about what she might have thought...or just ask her...see ya!
Cap then turned and dissappeared up the mountain path.

Ben nodded and gradually slumped back toward the tavern. His body was heavy and he felt the sleepiness coming on him but he didn't want to sleep with Synge...not right now...he needed to clear his head. He snuck into the the tavern, into the kitchen, through the door to his balcony refuge. He made sure to lock the door behind him and he just watched the sea rise and fall as he smoked and thought about what might be happening.

((Not leaving but taking a break. When I do come back though, I will have to stop RP early, I have to be at my office at 7:40 tomorrow so I have to get up 20 minutes earlier...*CRIES* ))

Ben had stared at the sea for a long time, he couldn't help but let his mind be empty. It took him a good hour of blankly letting thoughts pass before he was truly clear headed. During this clarity moment, he heard an old song his mother used to sing him that always brought him peace- it played through his mind and he couldn't help but sing it.
We live, we love.
We Forgive and never give up.
Because the days we are given
are gifts from above
and today we remember
to live and to love.
The song was exactly what he needed to hear, he felt the worry and pain leave his mind and he smiled a genuine smile. He put out his smoke and made his way down to the tavern and locked the door to his balcony behind him. He then made his way down to the room where Synge was sleeping. He just watched her sleep for a while without saying much.

*Hikaru had stopped crying, and bleeding. He decided it was time to actually go back to the tavern now. He stood up and didn't bother with fixing his clothes this time. They were covered with leaves on the back but he didn't really care. He wiped his eyes and walked to the tavern. He stepped inside and took a seat at the bar, justing keeping to himself and not really considering that maybe he should clean him self up a bit.*

*Synge could almost feel Ben's presence in her sleep, and she felt herself waking up slowly. She stirred and moaned a little as if she was having a bad dream. Her eye opened and saw Ben. She smiled tiredly. She didn't know what had happened while she was sleeping. Her eye ached slightly and she brought her hand to it for a moment.*
