I play the flute and im in first chair for the flute section! And Also justed stared playing the turmpet and its really fun =D FLUTES WILL RULE THE WORLD! >D

Yey, flooters! I'm a first chair (although I probably wouldn't be if my former mortal enemy hadn't switched to trombone) and I got a piccolo for x-mas! SOOOOOO HAPPY!!!!!!!
I'm thinking of maybe going full-time piccolo if we have the music for it this year. We have like eleven flutes (yeah, I've seen where some of you have thirty, we're small get over it, eleven in a section's a lot for us) and four trombones (counting aforementioned former mortal enemy who's new at it so he probably shouldn't count) so our band's really unbalanced. neutral
Any man-flutes out there? We used to have two but one's about to graduate and the other moved away. cry

gonk I made the mistake of taking our Spring music home to practice. I can't play any of it. At all. I'm serious. And I one of the best sight-readers in my section. domokun

fullyalive0 xXbluefoxXx fullyalive0 xXbluefoxXx Jeff-Er-Aay Well actually. one of my best friends is a guy flute player! we sit next toeach other we have great fun i dont know what i'd do without him. he's staright as a post:] and well i also know a gay guy flute player so i dont do stereotypes!! :] Well, I'm not sayin' all are straight, I know some have to be gay. So, pretty much, the stereotype needs to die. And be burned. And to fullyalive, we might be able to shove one of them in there. But, I'll get our huge bass drum, and 2 of these other new drums that we have, but I have no idea what they're called. But, they're big and round, so rollin' them down the hill, will still be fun. twisted GENIUS thats a wonderfull plan... twisted Yep! Ooh and we could put like, 50 metronomes in there, all going at different times, so while they're rolling down the hill, they'd be driven mad by the metronome! It bothered the heck out of me when my band director used one once, so I know 50 has to be torture! twisted ILL GO GET DR BEAT it gets loud and it can do diffrent things! like actually count...it get evil... twisted twisted twisted Bwahaha! They will all regret the day they decided to mess with the guy I like! twisted

in my class im the only one that can play our state etude perfectly.

There are five flutes in our biggest band at school, and four are girls (this includes me). The other is my friend, a guy from South Korea. He rocks, he noticed I was asking him a lot about his culture, so he gave me some Korean coins. They're only worth about 17 cents in USD, but they're very interesting. mrgreen

Oh, and you know what I hate?
How people think the flute is easy! It's fricken hard to get a super high B flat on every other song! plus only the susaphone takes more air up than the flute. >.< (sorry, mini rant. . .)

Yes I agree. Quite annoying.
Luckily I have a sister that is very generous with her observations, and she tells me often that all the keys look frightening. I feel very... complete when she says that. 3nodding
