Not sure if it works on other programs, I have Microsoft Works, so I mainly use the Works Word Processor, maybe this also works in Microsoft Word, I don't know...
Your Grammar and Spelling is set to English (United States) by default, mine is set to English (Canada) however.
If you type in Encyclopaedia and do a spell check the following happens:
English (United States)
Encyclopaedia - incorrect
Encyclopedia - correct
English (Canada)
Encyclopedia - incorrect
Encyclopaedia - correct
